I’m sorry, but that’s really sad. While I certainly find physical attraction important and value certain physical features over others, I can’t size up a woman in such a detailed way; not only is it dehumanizing, it’s missing the forest for the trees. I guess I can deal with 1-10 for comparison purposes, but man, women can vary in appearance greatly from one day to the next. You forgot laugh. For me it can be one of the sexiest things about a woman. ---

Dude, it all adds up. Just the way i am, i can get put off by the littlest things. I see a girl and think, what is it about her that i find attractive? You could say i read into it too much. Missing the forest for the trees? No i like all women. Just because i rate them that way doesn’t mean i’m a perfectionist. ---

I have to agree with Buzz, rating by looks to the Nth degree is definitely dehumanizing and pathetically sad. What about personality and interests? What her family is like? Does her faith jive with yours? Even a 1-10 is improper and tells you absolutely nothing about someone. Saying she loves action movies, smells like wildflowers and has the same sense of humor you do means you know her better and says more about her than a number could. And really, have you ever considered if women rated with a similar scale? I, for one, am sure glad they don’t. You (generalized usage) would never rate well or meet whatever standards they would have. I think it’s a darned good thing women care more about personality than looks. I am not so severely lacking in the looks department as you might think to make a post like this, I simply don’t think looks are terribly important and I think it’s great that most women don’t either. What you both look like changes over the years. I doubt there are many HB9’s at 85 y.o. Once you find someone you love, unless you’re a terribly shallow narcissist, to you she’ll be a HB10 forever. That’s what really matters. ---

Ash and buzz are right.. I consider things like emotional maturity (and sharing core beliefs and values) to be central in importance even though I still would prefer somebody who looks beautiful. ---

Ash, i have never had a girlfriend that rated men. as a bartender, i never ever heard one rate a guy either. i dont think guys would like hearing us rate on looks, but then again i think most of them know a girl takes more into consideration than just a pretty face because we arent as in a hurry to get the deed done. very sexy post 😉 ---
