Age: 19 Gender: Male Location: FL Hello everyone! I’m a 19 year old male currently living in Florida. Glad I found the site. I’ve only just started researching [pheromones](https://a314.com/) and had always thought it was just an over-hyped marketing joke until coming to this forum. Anyways, I was wondering if you all might be able to help me out. I guess you could call me the “funny guy.” I’ve always been one to make people laugh and will do just about anything to sell a joke. Because of this though, I generally tend to land in the “friend zone” with most women. They see me as entertaining, silly, and fun, but only rarely as the guy they’d want to have a serious relationship with. And while I’m good looking (not to toot my own horn), I think my happy go lucky personality tends to play down some of the masculinity and sexiness that women want in a man. I’m not looking to drastically change who I am. You are who you are and there’s no sense in trying to act like someone you’re not. I’m just trying to find a pheromone that might give me that “extra edge” with women. Something that could cause women I’ve known for a while to maybe see me in a different light or to have women I’ve just met see me as something more than just the “funny guy.” So, if there’s any single product or mix that you think might help in my situation, I’m all ears 🙂 ---

Heya Lensub! Welcome to the friendliest, most informative forums dealing with the science of pheromones and how they can be used to increase social interaction! You’ve given a great start as to information that we can use to help you select the product that will give you the edge you seek, but it is really important to get information from you about who you are and what you are looking for to recommend the products that will work best for you. Sounds like you are a pretty outgoing guy no problems with shyness but you keep ending up in the dreaded friend zone? Where do you normally go to meet women and what type of women are you hoping to attract? Do you seek a long term relationship or looking to hook up as often as possible? Are you also seeking respect at work or among your peers? Do you envy the “bad boy” and want to get some of that vibe going? I always feel a little bit uncomfortable asking questions but providing the answers to such questions benefit you in 2 ways. First they help to qualify you for the $25 gift certificate mentioned earlier. And 2ndly (and most importantly, gives the type of information required) so that our resident phero experts can suggest the products, amounts and application points that will be most effective to help you acheive the level of interaction you seek. And the experts know what products mixes and ratios can help get you where you want to go. Based on what you are telling me so far, I’m thinking we need something to up your status and respectability so that the women you are going after think of you as a man instead of a little brother. At 19 you are relatively young but IG will give you the respectability typically reserved to older gents. I/G is buffered so as a newbie, who is likely itching to get your scent on you are less likely to O/D. I’m an older guy, and I recently have been wearing I/G with Instant shine and so far am very pleased with the results. A314 is another great product but there are some issues you need to be aware of. As a younger guy, you are likely producing quite a bit of androstenone or “none” already, so you want to be careful when using any non-buffered product, (such as A314) because of the heightened chance of “none” Over Dose that can result in everything from getting hassled by guys to being ignored by everyone around you. Also, the reality is that it is a lot harder for a 19 year old to be congruent to A314 than it would be for somebody who is older. Possible, but difficult especially if you have a playful personality. If you’re looking for the type of respect that the “bad boy” gets, you may want to try [Instant Jerk](https://a314.com/product/instant-jerk/). Never used it because I don’t think I could pull of being a “jerk” as easily as being a gentleman. Lots of users live by this stuff in the forums though, so as a funny guy, if your wit is more acerbic, may really be worth a try. You’ll really want to beware of O/D with this product, however because the consequences can be pretty dramatic, such as getting one’s ass kicked. Now, something important to keep in mind, is that pheros will help you achieve the social interaction you seek but, you have to do the heavy lifting. In other words, the products will help you give off a vibe, and some can even increase the wearers self confidence but you have to play the part. Think of pheros like the scent equivalent of a costume or expensive suit. They signal to your target that you are an “alpha male”, a sex god, bad boy or a charismatic fun guy, but if you don’t act the part, your targets will become confused and cease to think of you in that way. I’ve determined that one of the products used to increase attraction in females is not really working for me, because I’m failing to play the part of the “pimp” that the phero signals. No worries because due to experimentation with some of the other products, I have found some things that have positive effects that I can be more congruent with and consequently work better for me. Hey, thanks for the quick responses and nice meeting you all! Generally, I tend to meet women through mutual friends of ours at either a house party or some other social event. I’m not usually into the shy girls and like confidence in how a woman acts and presents herself around me. My problem doesn’t seem to be attracting women and getting them to like me. It’s in trying to get most of them to see me as a viable option. It’s as if I’m a brother to them, they trust me and enjoy my company, but can’t see me in that manner… because well that would just be weird lol. I want a girl who responds to me more on the sexual side of things and wants something other than just a friendship. Right now I’m just trying to have as many options as possible. So the more hookups, the better. But I think if I were to find someone I could really connect with I’d want to try out something a little more long-term. Among guy friends, professors, older adults, etc. I’m generally well liked and respected so I’m not looking for any type of status pheromones that might help me in that area. I really can’t see myself as the bad boy. I’m way too nice for that and I don’t think it would work for me. That’s not to say that I’m not tempted though lol. 😃 If I were to try the instant jerk it’d be humorous at first (at least until someone breaks my nose 😛), but then I’d wish I’d spent my money on a product that fit my personality more. Welcome to Pherotalk Lensub! You definitely came to the right place and we have had some guys come on here with the exact situation. It is very difficult for a guy to get out the friend zone once a woman puts you there. In addition, to the [pheromone](https://a314.com/shop/) advice I give you should read the stickies in the men’s section and allow the men to take you under their wing and help you become that smooth guy who has a handle on his game. For your age I would definitely recommend instant gentleman that will make you seem like this older , smooth guy. It also has the effect of making you appear like a dependable guy so I will be careful how I act when wearing it. The other product I recommend that will give you an edge is Instant jerk. Because of your age I will be extra careful in wearing this product because of the none and just use one spray when going out. Keep us updated on your results. Your GC will be issued soon! ---

I wanted to make myself clear about [Instant Gentleman](https://a314.com/product/gentleman/), while it does help you achieve higher status and respectability, it does not make you seem older like somebody’s dad, instead it gives you a more mature vibe. Women are generally attracted to respectable, mature guys, regardless of their age. Masculinity in our culture is tied to a certain level of maturity. Think about the heroes in the movies, except for silly comedies, cartoons or shows for kids, these heroes are generally masculine, independent, smooth, (in a mature way) confident, competent, etc. Lots of younger members who understand this and desiring just this type of vibe rave about I/G because it helps them to achieve this type of respectability. This doesn’t mean that the only women that would be attracted to you are MILF’s or cougars, there is actually a mix specifically for that if that is what you seek. So don’t think that using I/G will limit your interactions to the geriatric set, likely a number of the women you are interested in see who dont want to take the interaction to the level you seek see you as a younger brother and thats just the type of vibe you want to shake to start getting some action from them.
