when i read the posts you guys mention a lot of “mixes”. Do you buy the oils and make your own mixes in empty bottles/sprays? or do you start with a certain spray, and later on you add another spray for next level? how does it work.
I have just order the starter pack to experiment, and would like to test those little spays effectively before ordering what works best for me.

also, can a neutral spray be used in combination with your favorite cologne/aftershave? Or do you only put on the product?

thanx

Layering the sprays is better than mixing when starting-out. Simply spray, let it dry down, spray again, wait, repeat as needed and lastly spray your cover scent on/nearby. That way, mixes are infinitely variable and economic - you don’t want to mix a whole bottle’s worth, then find it useless.

Once you know your doses/proportions of different mones, it of course quite viable to mix-up a more convenient bottle to spray - I only tend to do this for a few days worth at a time, enough for a long weekend/short trip though. Layering is still my main way to mix.

Using colognes/scents is fine, although some products like Ammo are strongly enough scented to not need a cover. Some cheap colognes/body sprays/cosmetic products still contain antibacterials like Triclosan (ban pending!), which can wreck pheros, so stick to good quality colognes and revise your personal care so you don’t use such products on app points - if you are unsure, apply them away from your phero app points. There is a good sticky on application issues - read it but don’t get too hung-up. If it has good circulation and is open to the air, it is viable! 😃

For straight-up testing AD do prefer you stick to the known quantity scents like [Neroli](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/androtics-neroli/), Akuto or Stealth (virtually unscented) but in the wild, a cover is sometimes appropriate. Neroli (orange blossom) and Stealth are the easiest to cover and 6% Akuto is light enough to be complementary to many colognes.

Personally I would advise to stick to Neroli or Stealth till you find your dose range over a variety of situations, then once you know that, you can get any scent/suitable strength without the risk of it being too strong for your testing. 🙂

I agree with mobocaster.

Around the forums when people speak of ‘mixing’ I believe they generally just mean they are using more than one product at once.. that’s what I mean when I say it.

Mixing can also be mixing them up in one bottle but proceed cautiously if you do, as mobocaster said, you can end up with a lot of wasted product.

Mobocaster giving out good as usual!! If I could put my two cents in make sure to test each [pheromone](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/) individually so that you know how they work on their own. This will really help you know what’s works good together and what doesn’t.
