Here it is…day 5 and right after I got out of the shower I asked someone if I smelled like a pickle. The response unfortunately was yes however, the smell dispersed rather quickly. Every time I get out of the shower and for hours after I can not smell any type of none on me except for my natural signature. I have also noticed that my second day hits that usually happen after a shower with soap have drastically reduced. I will be continuing with this until it either causes my skin to almost permanetly smell like a pickle factory or I find something better. I dont want to overdo it and do my usual 2 showers a day. I will take showers at night before I go to bed that way if the smell really starts clinging to me it has time to dissapate while sleeping. Ill keep posting here on my experiment so if you have not already…subscribe to this post 😃

Enjoying your posts Tama!

My body is completely odorless half an hour after using this method I cant smell any pheros at all!

I got some questions since im just starting with this too.

-Do you wash it off your body before you get out of the shower or do you spray your body with vinegar when you get out?

-Do you get your hair wet with vinegar then shampoo, rinse and spray your hair again with vinegar to remove all trace of soap ?

-what vinegar are you using? Does it have any added flavor?

I spray it on while in the shower using a spray bottle usually used for spraying down ones hair with water. I rub it in like one would use liquid soap or a body wash and rinse thoroughly.

I use straight vinegar in my hair with no soap at all. I know its rather backwards but I wash my hair after I have rubbed my body down. I use whatever I did not use in the spray bottle on my body in my hair. Surprisingly its not greasy or dried out, really manageable, and yet comes out clean.

I am using the water diluted 5% white vinegar straight. Red vinegar at 7% acidity seems too strong and will more than likely will soak into your pores more leaving you more with a stronger smell that lasts much longer…
Any other questions I will be more than happy to answer.😃

Thats the one Tater uses. Cheap. Works great and you dont smell like a pickle. You should be able to get a bottle for $10-$15 thatll last you a year.

It’s effective at removing pheromones too. I use shampoos/body washes that include polysorbates.

For clothes I use an oxyclean product like Omino Bianco.
Has anyone tried using beer yet? Both beer and vinegar used to be used in the past here for washing hair.

And,
If you put out a bowl of vinegar, it’ll absorb room odors.🙄

After 2 solid weeks of using vinegar I really smelled like a pickle. Like pheromones vinegar eventually builds up. I only use vinegar to now scrub pheromones off then wash myself again with soap. I might go back to using straight vinegar again as soon as I think I can deal with it again. I got used to the smell but it seems I burnt my nose with the smell every time I was in the shower. Vinegar is good for the short term…but I would not recommend it for over a long haul. It dose clear up skin and restores hair’s shine but smelling like a pickle killed it for me and the girls I was approaching. 🙄

LOL I kinda figured that would happen, Thanks for testing it out and taking one for the team though. 😉

Just use a good antibacterial soap or a scrub with Tea tree oil in it and that will prevent build up and then do the vinegar thing once a week.

Using a belt sander on application points would remove pheromones too, but not something I’d recommend trying. 🙂

Darn! I started reading the beginning of this thread and I was slowly becoming convinced, ready to add vinegar to my grocery list. Having read to the briny end, though, guess I’ll stick to my sulfate-free body wash and Terax shampoo. (I like my showers to smell nice, so there’d have to be a big payoff to adding eau de gherkin to my routine.)

Thanks for experimenting for us, Tama!

Seems to me that if you avoid laureleth sulfate and wear a deodorant rather than a deodorant/antiperspirant whenever possible, you should be able to retain at least a little of your natural pheromones.

The Body shop which is in most malls has it.

Walmart has it in the ladies bath product section made by a company called Tree Hut.

Dr Bronners Brand which you can get at health food stores or Sephora at the mall. He has a soap which is good.

This is really good to at amazon but it dosnt have tea tre oil in it. I buy the Tea tree oil seperate and add it to my sons bath products because it fights athletes foot.

I know what you mean Kitten. I was going to buy myself a jug of apple cider vinegar today when I was at the store, then forgot it. So I was going to pick it up tomorrow. Still might get it sometime though. I just won’t use it as religiously as I originally anticipated I would.

Thanks for the experiement Tama. Reps to you regardless of the outcome. 🙂

Thanks for the info Tisha and thanks for the reps Dutchess. I was using 5% white vinegar for this experiment. I wonder how apple cider vinegar would do in this situation. Maybe ill try it out and post the results at a later date. As for now…I am shying away from vinegar for a while to give my nose and others a break from me smelling like I have been working in a pickle factory for the past month without a shower.😃 lol Ill keep ya posted should I decide to do another crazy experiment.😛

I still like vinegar for how it takes away all dry-skin itchiness, but the pickle smell gets to be a bit much after a while and it’s not that great on hair at all, I’m coming to feel. I’ve now switched to diluting it to half-strength with water to see if that makes any difference.

Another thing … it makes my sweat smell different, and not in a good way. I’m over it in that department.
