# NPA? What is this i keep hearing about and where do you get it? sorry for being such a noob. ---

NPA = New Pheromone Additive One of the products sold at Love Scent. It’s designed to be mixed with any cologne. It’s not bad but I think its concept is flawed. It’s too easy to make it too dilute so that when you wear enough [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/), you are wearing too much scent. Better to have an unscented product you can dose the way you need and then just add whatever cologne you want on top of it. I have it. I added it to some Aramis in an old Ammo container. Works OK but I wish I could use more with less scent. So I tend to use other stuff I have instead. ---

Love Scent, i did a google search and found all sorts of phero’s used by other people here. are they trust worthy like Androtics. ---

Love Scent is a different company that sells alot of different brands of pheromones, including some from Androtics Direct. They are pretty good at only selling legitimate brands and are pretty reliable. Androtics Direct makes all their own stuff. From my experience they are the best. NPA is just one of the brands that Love Scent sells. The Pherotalk Forum is owned by Androtics Direct, but, chances are, if a [pheromone product](https://a314.com/shop/) is any good, someone has tried it and posted their experience. Use the search function to find such posts. ---

so were like buying direct from the company and love scent is just the middle man right? ---

NPA is made by LaCroy, a firm in South Africa. love-Scent seems to be their retailer or distributor in the USA. I’d say that, after KruegerRands, it’s the best thing to come out of that country in ages. ---

If you like to “roll your own,” NPA is a perfect design concept: mix 4 or 5 parts cologne to NPA and you’re in business. I have it premixed in atomizers with all my fav colognes: Burberry Weekend, Issey Miyake, Chrome and Issey Miyake Summer. I sometime use it with chemset androstenol and androsterone for custom general use mixes. Of course if don’t like to mix you won’t like it as it’s too strong/concentrated for direct use. If you need a dosed product (no mixing) you should consider TE or TUTH instead. ---

They’re probably the only other phero company that’s considered reputable, but remember that Love-Scent doesn’t make their products. The staff seem to be good people, and I’m not knocking them in any way, but their stuff isn’t as cutting edge as Androtics. Nevertheless, they do sell a good variety of stuff there, and many people here use some of it. I try to keep a bottle of NPA and some Scent of Eros on hand. Regarding the A314 they sell, yes it’s an Androtics product that they purchase to resell, but it’s not necessarily the latest formulation, so be careful before you consider purchasing it. -D4 ---

they have a pretty sweet combo package with some samples mixed in i just ordered that since all the pros here seem to have some of this stuff on hand. Wish Androdicts did some combo packs and samples like that its a good deal. and i know i know there better but still a good deal is hard to come by in this state of economic crumble. ---

I’ve gone back and forth between AD and LS A314 and greatly prefer the LS formulation. Target effect appears the same but the LS version scent is 10 times better (spicy rather than hippie). Plus the EO used in the AD A314 gives a me rash whereas the LS version doesn’t. ---

I’d like to point out that, although everything I’ve ever gotten from Love Scent is what I would consider a legitimate product, the quality of response I get varies tremendously. Best product I get from them…alpha - 7 hands down. Other products I would order from them again…The Edge, maybe Liquid Trust (some issues with reliability with this product but my current bottle is good)…maybe NPA but I would concentrate it more or use a lighter scent than Aramis. Stuff I would not order from them again…WAGG-n, scent of Eros (it’s OK…just not for me), Chikara (unreliable). Although I wouldn’t get that stuff again, I’ve tested them and they do work…just not as well as I would like. And Androtics Direct products work best. They are also the most consistent. ---

Since you talking about love scent . after seeing the thread by phat asking about which products to try i purchased Alpha 7 unscented, and the SOE/NPA combo, when i first used SOE i was not impressed but i think it was because i was dosing it wrong. the one thing i do like about love scent is choice of everything unscented makes me a happy camper. as far as npa goes the way i apply it is i took the entire bottle and transferred it to an amber bottle with a glass dropper, and forget that stopper they give you. this way i get exact dosing. The way i apply is two drops one to my upper chest, other to my back of my ears, and then cover with cologne. I have to say out of any none products i have used, this one has given me the most blatant hits i have ever seen, i was actually shocked i saw heads turned with the whiplash effect. I also did the same thing with SOE, instead of using that silly roll on i took the entire oil and transferred it to bottle with eye dropper and get more accurate results ---

Denec I have the same problem with both NPA and Scent of Eros. Scent of Eros works great for me in the gel pack from because I know how to does it, but the role on is just a mystery for me. I think I might follow your advice and transfer it into a dropper bottle. How many drops of SEO do you use? My NPA is almost unused, but I’m also going to transfer it into a dropper bottle and see if that works better for me.
