Ive been looking around the forum, but I haven’t found any great posts on men’s fashion. We as pherotalk members are always looking for that leg up to.. you know… get her legs up 😜

Im just kidding for any ladies reading this (its the TUTH talking). As we all know, women love a well dressed guy

So my goals for this thread is for everyone to compile what they know about fashion that has proven effective for them. I would love for the female members to join in and let us know what kinds of clothes and styles they find attractive on a guy

Please post links (if thats ok with the mods) to places with fashion information, or type out some tips, or suggest articles of clothing or accessories you have gotten ioi’s from

Personally I love dressing in slim (not tight) jeans and a dress shirt with a few buttons undone and an undershirt when going out. the shirt is also slim fitting, and it compliments my build well

Heres a link ive gotten from puatraining about fashion and types of clothes, it even comes with places to get them

[Bangin’ Garments](http://www.puatraining.com/puablog/2008/10/bangin-garments#more-730)

I hope that if this thread proves effective in compiling great info, that it become a sticky and more accessible to noobs and veterans alike

well I know unleash all my forum friends on this thread to make this the mecca of fashion enthusiasts

🆒

Some of you know I am in the process confidence building, which has its ups and downs for me. But I had an aha-moment a couple of days ago and I’ll explain why. I had to attend a funeral and ofcourse I had to suit-up. I haven’t worn a suit for years. In my younger years (18-22) I wore suits more often a…

I find sites like karmaloop, plndr, and jackthreads are really useful in terms of convenience and price. However, that’s just my opinion as I usually fall into this kind of style. How about you jnoel?

Sorry I cant rip the pictures to show here.

I also love the way blazers and waistcoats look, but they have to fit properly. my main problem is budget

Maybe this belongs in the lounge as it has nothing to do with AD products?

Anyway, I couldn’t care less about fashion. A pair of jeans and a shirt, a leather jacket, engineer or combat boots and I’m done.

Everything always in black. As soon as they invent a darker colour, I’ll switch to that.

Basically for me I dress for what I am doing. If I am going out clubbing then I wear a comfortable pair of jeans and a good pair of dancing shoes like my AF1s,nike dunks, or Nike cortez or my chucks. Depending if I am going to be bboying at the place I will also dress for that style of dance and just to have a good time. Most the time though It is just an Ironed white T shirt a nice pair of Jeans and a fly pair of kicks.

I guess I’m weird clothes dont impress me much.

I’m a farm girl at heart and a pair of nice fitting Jeans a t-shirt and some boots is hot to me.

You could walk up to me in a designer outfit and I wouldnt even have a clue. A pair of Levi’s, a hanes t-shirt and some Herman Survivors makes me happy. Probably the way we were brought up though. When people would show up all dressed up for anything other then work or formal occasions my grandmother would say “you know he’s hiding something under there and its not something good” (snort) 😛

I sent the memo out months ago mikdal, did you change your number? lol

i agree with jabez, its also about what youre aiming for.

In high school I used to go with the “gangster” style of loose shirts and bagy jeans, i noticed a lot more attention from girls since i switched to more form fitting clothes

You also have to be congruent as with anything, like Noble said in his “suit up” thread, if a guy looks awkward in a suit, he’s not getting any attention from it, at least no good attention

no offense to tish, but I believe the majority of women like and/or respect a man in a suit. not the arrogant wall street guys (who I assume your grandma was referncing), but a guy who puts on a suit with a suave/playful demeanor

if im just going to school or the mall, im just in straight jeans and a slim fitting shirt. due to my build i get looks anyway

BTW thanks for moving the thread steve. sorry about posting in the wrong section

Most important part of your style though by far is the shoes. If you have nice shoes it conveys the message to women that you are responsible and take yourself seriously. As far as like other stuff goes keep a clean shave or a 1 or 2 day beard.

I’m not offended LOL 🙂 Nope maman wasn’t referring to wall street guys, you didnt see many of those around our parts. Usually she was talking about guys who were coming to pick up my sister for dates, I think it was the suave playful demeanor that had her concerned (snort) 😛 She also always told us to beware of the wolf in sheep’s clothing and that respect cant be bought and worn, its earned in your actions.

I know now a days guys like to dress nice and thats great as long as they are doing it for themselves and not to give false impressions. A man who is comfortable in his cloths and with himself is a attractive man.

So I guess for me its partly conditioning from childhood. Of course she never said anything about being wary of the wolf in wolves clothing so thats who I married LOL 😉

That’s why we stress congruency and how it can be learned
