# oil based cologne?

As an base for a cologne oil isn’t very good imo. A314 is [Akuto](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/akuto/) scented and to be quite honest after applying it to my wrist I can’t smell the cover scent at all unless I hold my wrist up to my face.

Now for mone diffusion it can be good but expensive. Look at it this way  
Alcohol based mones last an average of 4 hours (sometimes less somtimes more) depending on weather.  
Oil based A314 lasts about 8 hours, again depending on weather and other factors.  
Thing is consider Ammo, in order to make a 7.5 mcg spray of ammo last basically twice as long the intensity of the dose would be essentially cut in half as the molecules are leaving your skin at a slower rate. So whatever product you use would basically have to be in double concentration…at least, in order to get the same ppm density of mone molecules to air in your phero cloud.  
Basically it would take 10 mcgs of mones per drop to equal the effective power of 5 mcgs of mones per spray.

I’m sure that’s one of the reasons that A314 is such a concentrated product. 23 mcg per drop vs 15 mcg per spray for most other products save for [Ammo](https://a314.com/product/ammo/) and TuTH.

Oh if only we could do that. But expense is a definite reason why in my opinion. Also take into consideration that a314 diffused slower and is much more concentrated BUT the effects aren’t as sudden to most. It’s a constant status type mone and something like tuth would have to be even stronger to increase diffusion AREA because YOU would get more effects but to others it would be weaker then alcohol.

So increase in time, but less area or strengTh in that area.
