# Oils with alcohol-based sprays

Hi there. Excuse my intrusion into the women’s forum, but this seems to be the place where all the good threads on EOs are.  
I actually own a few bottles of aromatherapy oil, and I have some of that neutral carrier oil stuff. I actually prefer the smell to cologne or alcohol-based sprays. As an IT geek, I’m permitted some eccentricity in my professional life too, in the way I look and smell. But the smells of IO and TUTH have made me a little bit self-conscious. So I thought that I could mask them a bit with these oils, but of course the sprays are alcohol-based. Well, I read the tooltip about EOs too, which mentions the whole diffusion thing.  
I know I read a thread discussing this before; I just can’t seem to locate it again. What do people do to best combine oil and alcohol based spray, for a “happy medium”, let’s say, between instant effects and persistence of the [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/)?  
Also - I should really crack open that bottle of carrier oil, shouldn’t I? I was just applying the oils directly to my skin. Well, I have never had any skin irritation from it in years of doing so, so I guess I’ve just got into a bad habit. I actually dropped some ylang ylang neat on top of a 2-hour old IO/TUTH cocktail today. I could still smell the sprays, I should say. But the oil scent mixed in nicely and made me smell like cake mix or something, lol. I can get away with that though, like I say.
