A question. If I have an old bottle will the pheronomes disappear? Do I always need to use fresh [pheromones](https://a314.com/)? How old bottles are ok? One year?

How do you open the A314 bottle? I unscrew the lid, and then I pull out the white plastic plup. Then I drop it on me. Why is there no spray push button? How do you use the A314 when applying on you?

Nope pheros are very resilliant. So long as the bottle has been kept in a dark/reasonably shaded place they should be effective for a very long time.

A314 - unscrew cap, invert bottle to near vertical and drip. **Do not** pull out the white bit or you will not get an accurate dosed drop. In fact you will likely get a massive overdose.

Oil-base will not spray - so no sprayer.

Read the store page info for good advice on app points or stick “A314 application” into search. Many good threads on application strategy here and at least one was active yesterday, so it won’t be hard to find.

re A314 dripping:
There are two openings in the white bottle insert. The big center one is for the oil to drip out and the smaller one on the side is for air to get is so that the oil can drip out. When you tip the bottle make sure that you tip it with the small side opening on top. Do it slowly and you will have good control.

I have been removing the white plastic and tightly put the opening to my chin and stroked the liquid on my chin. This means the bottle is “polluted” with my body sweat and particles. It is like dipping my hand in a bottle, the hand will pollute the bottle. Or, dipp a used fork in a can - then the food in the can will be polluted and bacterias might spread faster.

So, my A314 bottle is polluted. Does it matter, you reckon? Pollution should have no effect?

I imagine the effects would be mostly negligible. If you think about the the fact that you are applying this oil to your skin for effect it wouldn’t make sense that the phero would be so fragile. I still however, would apply the way it is meant to be applied(with the dropper) from here on on out. If anything I would say that you have only slightly decreased the usable life of your a314. Don’t worry about it. You can tell if your effects are dialed down and if so try applying an additional drop compared to your normal dosage.

Pheromones can last 3 years or more in a cool, dark place. However, if you leave them out in sunlight, their life will be shortened significantly and also if you leave them in extreme heat (140 degrees F or more)

I have had the alcohol spray bottles for years and they seem to work better with more curing. I do keep them in a cool dark place.

Oils are another story, they dont have alcohol to kill bacteria so if you contaminate it by touching your skin with the applicator then you need to use that soon. It wont last and will break down over time because the bacteria will multiply once exposed to the oil.

If he would choose to store the oil in the refrigerator, now that it’s possibly contaminated, would that help? I guess it would slow the ‘decay’ but maybe the cold would make the mix part into layers or something? I know that most food oils can get a bit ‘cloudy’ in the refrigerator, I always thoughtv that was from solidification of some of the content, and that if that happened in A314 I guess it would be a bad thing?

Remember that A314 contains natural oils and musks, so it can be effected by misuse. I’d just be more careful but your bottle should be fine.

I’ve got a 2 year old bottle of A314 that I’m using right now. Works as good as ever.
