I have read a lot about the Tom Ford scents and I am wondering if anyone can help me pick from this list: Amber Absolute Noir de Noir Velvet Gardenia Black Violet Tobacco Vanille Oud Wood Purple Patchouli Bois Rouge Moss Breches Tuscan Leather [Neroli](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/androtics-neroli/) Portofino Japan Noir. I need to pick 5 for the sampler at the Perfumed Court and I’ll take your suggestions. In general, I really hate Patchouli, so consider that one out. Any suggestions are welcome. ---

Hi again lol, it seems you, me and Denec and Snoopyace are the only ones who seem to hold a interest in colognes on this site. Tom Ford are so hard to get hold of here in England but if I was you I would go for the following. Tobacco Vanille, Tuscan Leather, Amber Absolute. They are the only ones I have smelled, have no idea about the others. ---

I would try Tobacco Vanille Tuscan Leather Amber Absolute Oud Wood Bois Rouge Those are the most masculine of the bunch, I am not sure what you are into and if like roses for example Noir de Noir has a dark rose in it if i recall. ---

Huh, i’m surprised everyone here seems to like the ambre absolute. I ordered a 10mL decant of it blind, since i’d heard such good things about it and it just doesn’t float my boat at all. But hey, that’s always something to keep in mind about fragrances. One man’s treasure is another man’s junk. Anyways, my two cents are for: Tobacco Vanille Black Orchid The second is not a distinctly manly scent, but it is a BEAUTIFUL blend of floral scents that could be worn by a secure man (not too sweet, etc for a guy) and a scent i would ADORE on a woman. Also, if you find that you like the ambre absolute, you can always buy my 10mL off me if you’re not looking for the whole bottle. But have fun sniffing! ---

There are quite a few of us who also love the sense of scent, but have been a wee bit busy lately (me). Keep in mind that alot of fragrances we discuss here are on the expensive niche side of the hobby, which not everyone can afford to dabble in. Hell, i shouldn’t be able to, i’m still a student. But hey, everyone needs a hobby. 😛 ---

I do not think it is that great, but he asked me to pick 5…so I tried to pick the best 5 out of the list In all honesty the only one I truly like is Tobacco Vanille, the rest are mediocre and definitely not worth the $180 price tag if you were to get a full bottle also black orchid is not part of his private blend
