I think it is because memory is state dependent and pheromones shift our mood. Things we learned to do when our heart and mind were in a completely different place are lost to us. When we start using really impactful pheromones, we have to recreate a lot of associations. I try to make careful notes about my very first experience with a new pheromone because that is often the most dramatic, when we are completely separated, in an unexpected way, from who we used to be. Did you see this one from last nite?
