Yep.

Don’t forget Tungsram.

> Well… I’ve been doing some reading and Googling and I found a good ratio for my experiments, a ratio of 33% perfume oil to 66% alcohol. A commercial perfume spray is 20% perfume oil. Colognes are 10% or less, and a splash or after shave has only 3% perfume oil.

Ive used Everclear 190 and it has worked fine. Feel free to go as high as 30-35% essential oils. Also the key is after you have mixed everything, let it sit in dark cool place for as long as you can 4-6 weeks. The smell will change over time.

Yes CelticPrince, I knew that. I’ve been studying perfuming recently. Bassnotes has a wealth of information on perfuming. Did I mention how much I hate math, measuring and mixing?

I just found another company that will sell me an alcohol/DPG scented mix with whatever scent I desire.

This is an expensive hobby. I almost spent $35 on a molecule today. I have to cool my heels and work with what I have. I have 5 new putatives to test.

Yes it is expensive! Dont I know it. I dont want to fathom what I have spent just on EO’s.

Good luck on your testing..

Solved

I was so stressed about mixing my own base to use with test putatives that I didn’t think of the alternative…cheap cologne. No, not really cheap cologne but something that is inexpensive because it is old. Colognes like Joop, Cool Water or CK1.

For less than the price I would pay for perfumers alcohol, I can have a scent base for my putative experiments. No math, no mixing, no fuss. Did I mention how much I hate math, measuring and mixing?

I am financing myself and look what I came up with VL1! With more discoveries to come. My pheromone work reminds me of one of my favorite movie lines “Tony Stark was able to build this in a cave! With a box of scraps!” --Obidiah Stane, Iron Man (2008).

Yeah, good idea. Sorry I misunderstood. I thought you were doing the homemade cologne thing because it was fun, hobby or whatever.

That is what I do with NPA from that other vendor. I also use regular cologne to “cut” Steve-O’s pheros as they are way to strong for me.

Good luck with bootstrapping your project!

> Yeah, good idea. Sorry I misunderstood. I thought you were doing the homemade cologne thing because it was fun, hobby or whatever.

No, math, mixing and measuring is not fun for me. I need a base for my test putatives. I’ve gone through too much of my $70 cologne. I thought I could buy some EO, PA and some DPG and make an inexpensive base. I am financing this project myself. It turned out to be a challenge to me since I hate math, mixing and measuring.

I have been wearing VL1 for the last 3 days. I will be testing some Putatives for a poster on this board. What an honor (not sarcastic)! It means that they have faith in my ability to detect reactions to pheromonal substances. That’s cool.

It’s nice that some people have approached me about VL1 but like I told Androtics “If ya ain’t talking $ keep steppin’.” I’m sure a vendor will come along and show genuine interest. I may not do anything with it. I may just keep it to myself. That’s the way I’m leaning right now. The crazy thing is that if I sell the molecule name someone could make some money from it. But…this is such a niche market. How much can you make from 1 molecule? I could probably sell VL1 for $50 a bottle. It’s worth it…to me at least. I am loving this molecule. Like I said I don’t want to let this one loose until I can maximize it’s value.

Various companies were started at home including Microsoft and Amazon.

> Something is going on with VL33. Interesting that I hit the dosage of VL1 on the third try. I’m not even sure that the dose I am using is the best dose. But it works. The difficult part of testing a new molecule is finding the dosage. You have to be a keen observer of humans to discern the change in behavior that a pheromone may be causing.
>
> **VL33 dosing**
> A high level dose of VL33 is working but I will bring it down to 1/5th of what I am wearing and test it again. It seems to be too much at the current dose. I think it will act different at a much, much lower dose. Will it be the fallout molecule I thought it would be. Probably not. Then again I could be wearing waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy too much.

On Saturday I solved my carrier problem. I purchased a 3.4oz bottle of Mambo for men by Liz Claybourne for $20. Next time I can get Quorum for men which is $15 for a 3.4oz bottle. Polo which is very cheap seems to have great silage. Perhaps mixing Quorum with Polo to create a new scent would be the way to go.

I prepared several 5ml solutions. I prepared 3 drops of VL33 in 5.0 ml of carrier, VL1 @ 4.0 carrier and 1.0 VL1, NPA at a 5 to 1 ratio and a few others.

Yesterday and today I tested VL33. Dosing this is interesting. 1.0 ml of VL33 in 4.0 carrier is too much. With 3 drops I can see some reaction but I’m not sure of what i am observing. It seems to be some sort of Alpha molecule.

Dosing is like adjusting the volume on a stereo. Too high a volume and you get distortion. Too low a volume and you can’t hear the music. So VL33 has gone from too loud (1.0 ml) to too low (3 drops). I’ll try 10 drops on the next run.

I have it (VL33)

I don’t see any fallout effects. Then again sometimes a putative has to be combined with something else to awaken it’s properties.

**VL33**

I almost can’t believe it. I just went back to review my test notes on VL33 and Bam! I saw that 3 months ago I said that VL33 seems to be Alpha. I had forgotten that I’d observed this about VL33. I said it was Alpha again yesterday.

> [@paradox1](#):
>
> It seems to be some sort of Alpha molecule.

This means that I came to the same conclusion 3 months apart. For me this validates my ability to observe what a molecule is doing!

You would think since it was only 3 months that I would have remembered that VL33 was Alpha but I didn’t. This is why scientists take notes. To keep track of things.

If no one else is happy for me I am. Not bragging but wow. I am good!

The Nutty Professor

So what have I been doing for the past 11 days? I’ve been busy. I’ve dissolved 5 putatives in Perfumers Alcohol. I’m wrapping up testing for another vendor. I’m also testing for a poster on this board.

**VL33**

The dosing of VL33 has been problematic at best and it’s quite frustrating. I am also challenged by the fact that I can’t quite figure out exactly what it is doing. I have to set VL33 to the side again.

**VL77**

I’ve filtered one of the putatives that I was dissolving and it is now ready for use. It is so good having PA to dissolve putatives in! I’m naming this putative VL77. I mixed about 1.0ML VL77 in 4.0 PA vith Aukto fragrance.

I used 2 sprays this morning. I was opened by a woman this morning but it was outside so I took that with a grain of salt. I also had a conversation with a woman this morning and her interest level was very high. Unusually high.

As usual I will not believe anything is happening with this putative until I’ve tested further. VL77 makes me feel more introverted. For some reason conversation is a little difficult with VL77.

\*\*The Nutty Professor

**I’ve seen both versions of this movie. I’ve seen the one with Jerry Lewis and the most recent iteration with Eddie Murphy**.

\*\*Is this what we are trying to do? We are trying to be Buddy Love. The outgoing, charming and lovable man who gets all the girls. People are all for shortcuts. Diet pills, diet shakes and fat burning clothing are all targeted to people who want a shortcut for fat loss. The US weight loss market is a 60.5 billion dollar industry (([http://www.prweb.com/releases/2011/5/prweb8393658.htm](http://www.prweb.com/releases/2011/5/prweb8393658.htm))).

In both versions of The Nutty Professor both characters in the end learns the lesson “Be yourself and people will like you”. Reality tells us a different story. We are a 5 and the girl that we like is a 10. So now what do we do? We turn to an aid. Pheromones.

Many men equate wearing pheromones to a woman wearing makeup but is it really the same?

A paradox

The [liar paradox](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liar_paradox) is the sentence “This sentence is false.” An analysis of the liar sentence shows that it cannot be true (for then, as it asserts, it is false), nor can it be false (for then, it is true).

The liar paradox is occasionally used in fiction to shut down artificial intelligences, who are presented as being unable to process the sentence. In _[Star Trek: The Original Series](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek:_The_Original_Series)_ episode \*([I, Mudd - Wikipedia](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I,_Mudd)), the Liar paradox is used by the characters of [Captain Kirk](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_T._Kirk) and [Spock](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spock) to confuse and ultimately disable an android.

In the 1973 _[Doctor Who](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Who)_ serial _[The Green Death](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Green_Death)_, the Doctor temporarily stumps the insane computer BOSS by asking it “If I were to tell you that the next thing I say would be true, but the last thing I said was a lie, would you believe me?” However BOSS eventually decides the question is irrelevant and summons security.

In the 2011 videogame _[Portal 2](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal_2)_, [GLaDOS](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GLaDOS) attempts to use the “this sentence is false” paradox to defeat the na?ve artificial intelligence [Wheatley](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheatley_%28Portal%29), but, lacking the intelligence to realize the statement a paradox, he simply responds, “Um, true. I’ll go with true. There, that was easy.” and is unaffected.

The second book in [Emily Rodda](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jennifer_Rowe)’s _[Deltora Quest](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deltora_Quest_%28series%29)_ series, _[The Lake of Tears](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lake_of_Tears)_ has the main character, [Lief](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Deltora_Quest_characters), forced to answer a riddle correctly or be killed by the guardian of a bridge. When Lief answers the trick riddle wrongly, he confronts the guardian with his treachery. The guardian answers with another riddle, telling Lief to make a statement; if false, he will kill Lief by chopping off his head; if true, he will strangle Lief. Lief replies, “You will cut off my head.” As the guardian was cursed to his fate by the evil sorceress [Thaegan](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Deltora_Quest_characters) ‘until truth and lies become one’, the paradox allows him to revert to his original form: an eagle.

In "this sentence is a lie", the paradox is strengthened in order to make it amenable to more rigorous logical analysis. The Nutty Professor (1963)

In a post on 8/25 I brought up The Nutty Professor (1996). Last night the 1963 version with Jerry Lewis was on Turner Classic Movies. Since I haven seen this version in years I decided to watch it.

Jerry Lewis, wrote directed and starred in the 1966 classic. In a 51st Anniversary Nutty Professor interview Jerry Lewis states that The Nutty Professor was a spin on the Jekyll and Hyde theme.

Some posters here would defend using pheromones as similar or equivalent to a woman putting makeup on. Is it really that simple? Some pheromones have Buddy Love type self effects. Real self effects. Androsterone is notorious for it’s confidence boosting and its feel good effects. A314 which contains Rone makes you feel like you are on top of the world.

While you can’t play the piano like a pro and sing like Dean Martin under the influence of pheromones you certainly can have the confidence to approach a girl.

It was the cliffhanger ending of the 1966 classic that made me think. What if pheromones really worked like the professor’s formula and transformed men into “Buddy Love”? Could we really live in a world full of Buddy Loves?

Oh where, Oh where has my little dog gone?

I am still here. I have been testing for a Vendor. This Vendor trusts my opinions and testing abilities. The vendor is sending me stuff to test almost bi-weekly so I haven’t been able to test or wear anything else.

Unlike the newbie testers, I don’t wear 2 different products at a time when testing. For example: I will not wear IJ and IH and claim to be testing IJ. Wearing the 2 products changes the test results. When you wear IJ solo you get certain results and when you wear them together you get different results. Noobs think that since they know how IH works they can test it with IJ but when you wear both you are wearing a combination of molecules that may or may not have synergy. The molecule combination may yield different results than if you wore each mix separately.

On a similar note: The pheromone community is so obsessed with making combinations because they are trying to make the product that they desire. There is a thread on this forum that was recently created called [Newbie Combination help. First purchase](https://pheromonetalk.com/t/newbie-combination-help-first-purchase/62961). Consumers are so desperate to find a winning combination of pheromones. Being on the testing side I have found out that this process costs Vendors and Testers time, money and resources. Since this science is new there is a huge amount of trial and error.

So far Vendors have not met the desires of the consumers that use their product. Some Vendors like Androtics have hit the nail on the head with certain products. A314 (pre 30 rev) **was** the best [pheromone product](https://a314.com/shop/) on the market. Certainly it was the best status product that I have tried.

Anyhow, when I test I only test 1 product at a time and I test that single product until I “know” it. That’s why I’m one of the best testers in the industry today.

New discovery?

I am still here. I have been testing for a Vendor. I have had no time to even prepare my own putatives for testing.

I did happen to motivate myself to prepare one putative though. I caught a small break in testing for the Vendor, so yesterday and today I am wearing a new putative.

This putative is interesting and seems to stimulate conversation. It seems to be non sexual and doesn’t seem to last long.

I’m not so hot for this putative but it may be an ok component in a mix.

I have so many putatives ideas that I want to test. Some are prepped and ready, some are not.

I want to just find something as good as VL1. I’m so sure that I can. It’s the trial and error that’s frustrating. Some putatives that look good on paper really don’t seem to work well after trial. It’s a good thing that I have a list full of possible putatives to test.

So two women were talking to me this morning. Ok conversation but does not seem to be “sexy convo”. This conversation has convinced me to shelve this putative and move on.

I’m ok with moving on as I have a slew of possible putatives to try. If VL1 is my only putative discovery then I’m ok with that but I want to be the Thomas Edison of pheromones and discover many putatives.

So this morning I decided to give this putative one more try. I just wanted to make sure that it was doing what I thought it was doing.

Yes, my initial assessment was correct. **I believe that I’ve discovered another putative.** I sprayed 3 sprays this morning. It seems like almost everyone who smelled it tried to talk my ear off.

It is similar to Alpha Androstenol but it doesn’t have the tired feeling after effect that comes with wearing A-NOL. The longevity also mimics that of A-NOL as this putative seems to wear off after 2 hours.

If anything, it would be nice to wear on a date. It is unisex and seems to just make people chatty.

Probably the best thing to do is to try it with some enone. Since it seems to be a real working putative I should also give it a name.

Finally I get to wear VL1 again

After 2 or 3 months of testing for a vendor I have a break while I wait for the next shipment of mixes for testing.

Today I am wearing VL1. What a relief! VL1 is so light. It doesn’t drain me and everybody is friendly…Hooray!

I am wearing VL1 with Oxytocin today to see what the Oxy does for VL1. They are working together but Oxytocin is serious and VL1 is on the lighthearted side. They don’t seem to clash but on the other hand they don’t enhance each other.

VL1 + Oxytocin

I wore VL1 + Ocytocin yesterday. I’m not really wild about the combo. They worked but not together. It was like they were working on opposite sides of the same room. They were both working but there was no synergy. They were both doing what they were supposed to do.

I did observe the ramp up effect yesterday. VL1 works for about 6-7 hours and really works hard in the last 2 hours. It ramps up to a flourishing finish. I wish I could understand why this is happening. I’m still baffled by how this putative hits.

I have not worn it in awhile. Yesterday, I had 4 people standing around me and we were all chatting. No one wanted to leave. This has not happened in a while. It was then that I realized that VL1 was doing this. I put VL1 on at 7:30am and it was going hard at 2pm. I believe that I’ve chronicled this already in another entry.

Anyhow, I’m wearing again VL1 (solo) today and it’s performing well…as usual. It’s very consistent.

Testing technique

If you want to get good results don’t believe anything that you read on the forum. That’s why I’m such a good tester. I read it and don’t believe it until I see it for myself.

I have proven many an observation wrong just by trying it for myself. Also when reading about other peoples experiences with pheromone mixes you have to take into account their experience with women (or lack thereof).

Some men believe a woman is looking at them with interest when they are just looking. Many times a hair twirl is just a hair twirl.

It is a habit of pheromone users to throw mixes together to try and make something better.

That’s not a bad thing. Users want to find that elusive Love Potion#9.

The correct way to test something is to try it solo first. Find your sweet spot. See what it does for you. Get to know the mix or putative. Know what it is doing. Take note of the ethnicity and age range of the women it affects. Take note of what it does to other men.

Testing is hard and it takes time but when you get good then people will rely on your keen observations. They will know that you did your work and you know what you are doing.
