I just started using mones and today was around my 6th day of use(not consecutive). Anyways, today my family members started commenting that I smelled like pee. I used 2 sparys of p75 and 2 of ammo at the beginning of the day. What is causing this and is there anything I can do to prevent it? I think its safe to say going around smelling like piss isnt going to be doing me any favors

You mean that you smell like ammonia?

There are 3 things that you can do to get the smell out a bit more:

1. Change your diet. There are couple of reasons, but the most likely option is that you are eating too much food rich in nitrogen or low carbs. If you are already on a diet, then I would suggest to talk with your dietitian about it.

2. Take a regular shower. I started to take a shower every morning, clean clothes and try to prevent excess [pheromones](https://a314.com/) to stick to my body. Girls love clean bodies and it makes the pheromones smell less like pee.

3. What color is your pee? Healthy pee is light yellow in color, almost colorless. If you find it a dark yellow color, then I would suggest to start drinking a bit more water. Don’t overdo it, if its colorless then you are drinking too much 😉

Lastly, smell the bottle. When you smell it, does it smell like pee? Although some pheromones are commonly found in urine, the synthesized versions are not known to cause any bad smelling odors.

Note that I am not a doctor, so if you have a diabetic problem I would suggest to go to your local doctor for consultation.

Smell of Pee - That will almost certainly be the Androstenone in [Ammo](https://a314.com/product/ammo/) breaking down.

Scent sensitivity to individual pheros and breakdown products does vary greatly between individuals, so the occasional person getting it is no great problem as it is likely that few others will get it as bad, if at all. However, if they are tuned-in to the scent its annoying as they tend to get it through any cover, no matter what you do and swapping-round your pheros to find the ones that don’t stink to them is about all you can do.

However, if more than a few people are getting it, it could be you have some buildup/breakdown problems that can be helped by more proactive personal hygiene - incl washing the app points or bathing/showering more regularly to ensure there are no residual pheros or breakdown products which might speed degradation of subsequent applications.

Plain-old soap and hot water is amongst the best ways to shift pheros, also witch-hazel, tea-tree or anti-spot soaps/gels/washes will clean and remove residual pheros effectively.

Where are you spraying? Again, warmer, more moist areas are more bacterially active and will speed breakdown/stink considerably. So avoid pits, crotch or other sweaty bits. Clean skin, with good circulation and open to the air to diffuse is the best for overall effectiveness and longevity (Approx six hours from a spray) Avoid applying to hair or very hairy areas - Androstenone can bind to hair causing big stink problems and be very difficult to remove.

If you are applying pheros straight after a shower/bath, try leaving a few minutes for your skin to cool before spraying.

Lastly, using a thin application of a lanolin based skin lotion can be very effective at slowing the appearance of breakdown smells at the expense of a slight reduction in diffusion range. Once applied, leave for a couple of minutes to let it settle into the surface of your skin before spraying your pheros.

I usually apply to my neck and then rub it in with my wrists. I think it may be an issue of buildup. I dont think I was washing the application points thoroughly enough. Thank you for your input, I appreciate it!
