First of in the name **Di-dehydroepiandrosterone** the **Di-** means that their are 2 **dehydroepiandrosterone** molocules bonded together.

I won’t get into it myself, read the info!!!

[Dehydroepiandrosterone - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dehydroepiandrosterone)

Oh, it’s bonding may be because it is an ion. I don’t know if it is or not. I’ve forgoten a lot of my chemistry. At [ChemFinder.Com](http://www.chemfinder.com) if you do a search for dehydroepiandrosterone it pulls up this

Dehydroepiandrosterone [53-43-0]

Synonyms: (+)-Dehydroisoandrosterone; 3beta-Hydroxy-5-androsten-17-one; 3beta-Hydroxyandrost-5-en-17-one; Androstenol; Androstenolone; Dehydroepiandrosterone; Dehydroisoandrosterone; DHEA; Hydroxyandrost-5-en-17-one; Prasterone; trans-Dehydroandrosterone;

The (+)- makes me think it’s a positive and/or negative ion.

This appears to be pherlure’s ellusive ingredient.

not important, but im pretty sure the bonding is covalent (the two molecules share electrons). in ionic bonds one molecule steals an electron from another, making one molecule +'ve and the other -'ve, resulting in an attractive force between them (as in table salt, NaCl). since the molecules are identical neither tries to steal nor donate electrons, but instead share them. im sure youve heard of O2 (imagine that “2” is subscript), its the same.

I actualy thought of O2 when I saw the Di and the (+)- that’s exactly what I wanted to say but didn’t remeber how to. Thanks for clearing that up!

if you click on pherlure since it’s a link in this forum, you will understand. It goes to a page saying nobody had heard of the molocule. Plus people seem to get poor results, which makes people wonder if it’s placebo affect.

Hey friends!

This seems like an interesting conversation but what you may have not considered is that even the Wikipedia article is part of the scam.

These Pherlure folks have really worked the internet system and know that it does not take much to get people to believe in something. (A Wikipedia article, a fake study posted somewhere, a few false claims, a fancy looking site, etc…)

I spoke today with the University of Chicago (the place that this company said they did the study with) and according to the University, there is no such chemical that exists!

If it does, it is simply made up and has nothing to do with [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/).

Hope that helps!

Antonio (^\_^)

I think its a marketing ploy myself.

They just made up a new name for what most people know is a mix of androsterone and nol to make it sound like there product is different from the rest.

Basically all that is in Pherlure is a trace amount of the two mones above and I do mean trace which is why it dosnt work that great for alot of people.

I dont care for there website and am not impressed with there product and claims so even with the trace amount of mones I agree with Antonio that they are scamming or at least misleading people.

Hey tisha, how did you find this info about their contents?

Its in the chemlab link that toil provided above. Of course there are a few other chem names added with it which my brother told me are binding agents among other things that have nothing to do with mones. I tend to believe him because he is a scientist for Exxon. I’m just the kooky little sister lol. When he was up here visiting at easter I talked to him about it and asked him about a few things I didnt understand.

He dosnt use mones or test them in his business he is more into rocket fuel and stuff like that but he is familar with them and agrees they can be synthesized. He said just about anything can be systhesized. He does however think I am nuts for trying them.

The trace amount part I got from various posts that people made in the forum but I dont think it has been scientifically backed that its just trace amounts. Its just a opinion because its not effective for most people.

Tisha, are you talking about the chemfinder link in toil’s post? But that is just DHEA. From your post I thought someone actually analyzed Pherlure’s chemical contents.

I know Michael at one time was looking to get a working bottle of Pherlure among other working [pheromone products](https://a314.com/shop/) of competitors. I thought they had it analyzed. If not then any information presented is dubious at best.

After reading Catlord’s and Thomas’ posts about it I just had to try it. I find it incredibly potent at 2 sprays and there is something androstenone like in the way it grabs attention in my limited trials so far. I don’t think it’s simply androstenol or androsterone and my guess is a very fast diffusing pheromone with heavy sexual leaning.

So for me the contents are still a mystery but I would no longer bad mouth them except for their dubious advertising. But whatever gets attention right! Once you have attention then you can really show what your product is capable of so I am even willing to excuse them for their aggressive advertising.

A path breaking pheromone product like Pheroproof suffers because of it’s polite advertising (compared to Pherlure), so I think some hyperbole in advertising is actually imperative for selling a pheromone based product.

The reason why pherlure doesn’t work for many is the same as why any other product from even Androtics won’t work for many and that is the user’s inability to read the subtle social cues from pheromones. Another issue might be quality control of product which has been reported in the past (and they need to be chastised if it is really proven that they only send working bottles to first time customers).

I would love to see someone just analyze it against the three common pheromones and put this discussion to rest. How about just a gas chromatography? Will that reveal anything? Tisha, does your brother have access to any equipments to test contents?

Yes I wrote down the above contents in my pheromone notebook (dont laugh yes I have a pheromone notebook 😛 ) and showed it to him. He took a quick look said they are pheromones mixed with some binding agents and some other agents. He asked me why and where did I get this and I told him about pherlure. Of course he teased me for a while then told me its just Androsterone and nols with a big price tag. Then mumbled something about wild boars lol. I didnt really push him for a more detailed anwser because he was busy teasing me and I was busy trying to get the notebook back. LOL

We also talked about Androtics later on and he was an ass at first then more impressed when he found out the products were not all based around sex. I did squirt him with a few shots of IO and he didnt like that (said it smelled like piss) but he did say people bugged him all night.

I do recall Michael asking for a bottle of it as well as a bottle of Liquid trust at one time. I dont recall any results from the request. I wonder if he ever did check it out. We could ask Jasmin maybe she knows.

My brother does have access to all sorts of lab equipment. He has his own lab at exxon. I can ask him but I dont know how soon he will do it. It would be interesting. Of course I will have to endure his teasing and jokes. His favorite for a while was when he would call and I would anwser the phone he would say." Hi phero queen are you making your husband moan yet" I love him but he can be a ass. snort

I am not really bad mouthing them its just my opinion at this point. I do believe there are mones in the product. Just not enough to work for most people. You say it packs a punch for you at only 2 sprays. Do you think maybe there is to much mones per spray and people are getting the OD effect? It would explain why so many have no reaction to the product.

That would be so cool! Maybe a first in the [pheromone](https://a314.com/shop/) world too. And regarding his teasing, just take one for the team…😃

I feel it’s concentrated and ThomasLavoie had reported OD reactions at anything more than a spray in his long pherlure log but he is younger than me so…
