I have scanned few articles in the forum of using phero, and my understanding is, it’s a hypnotism where the suggestion is thru odor or smell. Am I on the correct track?

No, [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/) do not work similarly to hypnotisim, although I do see how you could make such a comparison.

Hypnotism works by causing the subject to enter a relaxed state of consciousness, then implanting suggestions. Unlike what you may see in movies, hypnotism will not cause anybody to do anything that they do not want to do.

Pheromones work through chemical scents triggering recepters in the VNO or olfactory membrane and passing signals to the limbic center of the brain, signaling trust, safety, tension, fertility, danger, fear, and other of our most basic instincts and emotions.

Hypnosis can have long term effects, while most pheromones, or at least the one that are best understood and sold here and elsewhere have shorter lasting effects.

While pheromones can help induce (or probably a better word would be encourage) people to act on urges and desires, they are specific and directional and work by actually triggering recepters in the brain, without requiring the subjects to be relaxed or otherwise prepared.

Hypnosis works through the power of suggestion, and implanting specific suggestions when the brain is in a relaxed state and open to receiving those suggestions.

I hope this helps to clarify the differences somewhat for you.

I’m going to love that thread, as I’m a hypnotist…

In the sense that hypnotism is Giving suggestions to get an objective, one could think that pheros are the same… if you think phero scents are just scents with phero effects but no real pheros !
The difference is that pheros have an effect, sometimes even without any suggestion from our part !

The common point between hypnotism and pheros is that it won’t get people do crazy things they don’t want to do. I would say it helps people (wearer included) break their limits down.

However, if you want to get results close to these of hypnotism, maybe you can use spaceland ! I haven’t tried it but i may help for shows…
