Hey guys and girls, i was hoping that you can help me out with a rather strange observations over the past few days. This is before i even started testing them.

On my way to university (taking the plane) i was sitting by the window seat, and from my peripheral vision i noticed that the really hot girl that sat 1 seat away from me (the seat between us was empty) was checking out the window way to much for comfort. lets say 60% of the time on a 30 minute flight. I did notice her fixing her hair and stuff like that, There is only so much you can see with the corner of your eye.

This is a much more interesting story for you guys and girls, but i don’t think that the hit was for me:

At the airport, i believe i saw a guy and girl walk together hand in hand before departure. After we arrived at our destination, i didn’t notice much. They were behind me waiting for a cab from the few glances that i had i didn’t notice anything special.

**4 days later**
Anyway, in the morning i went to out local tim hortons and stood behind her in line. I noticed that she would run her hands though her hair like CRAZY. I’ve never seen someone do it that much before in my entire life.
The question now, is: who is she interested in? me or the guy infront of her? I wore my dark and mysterious set and a heavy stubble that day. I quickly noticed the guy infront of her, and i admit that he is really good-looking and even more badass than me, he was holding his credit card in his mouth just like those stereotypical cowboys with the toothpick on tv as he reaches for his backpack to get something. That must have made her all dreamy and mushy.

This encounter made me raise a few questions:
1.would women be more inclined to play with their hair when the guy is behind or infront? or both? I could not tell because she looked everywhere (except her left), even at me.

1. do some women naturally play with their hair? I mean, isn’t it a sign of courtship? what if they only play with their hair once? I have a friend that i quickly and easily build rapport with, but she has a boyfriend. fixing her hair once or twice wouldn’t mean anything would it?

The best advice I ever got was “Stop worrying if she likes you and go find out” but to answer your questions

1.It really dose not matter where you are placed…if they noticed you and start playing with their hair you can pretty much assume they are primping for you.
2. Women always want to look their best and do sometimes do it just to make sure..however that frequency will increase when she is around someone she likes. She will move the hair away from her face and expose the neck area more if she is interested..However, she will place her hair closer to her face or try’s hiding her face and neck when she is not. Hope this helps 😃

I think if you pumped rone or none into an empty room (aside from the female test subject) you would see an increase in hair-play. It can be subconscious, and she doesn’t necessarily do it in response to/targeted at a particular guy.

I would agree with PheroQuirk…most flirting signals are sub councious

I can think of one phero-less super hit, I was out clubbing with a best friend of mine, and after dancing with a guy (caucasian, maybe about 26 yo) for a while I had started sweating something awful and got really self-concious. To my surprise he started burying his head in my neck and taking big whiffs and asking what perfume I was wearing and telling me how good I smelled, all I put on was deoderant.
This was before I really knew anything about [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/), so I just thought it was really odd.

But back to what you guys were talking about, girls flipping their hair is a way of flirting, the hairs act sort of like antennae to diffuse pheros from their neck, but I don’t think girls do it conciously, I learned this from Jasmine.

girls fix their hair involuntarily most of the time, but some very clever ones also know we’ll prolly pick up on this very obvious signal. they might do the hair thing around you if they like you, but it will be totally intentional, she knows you’ll think she likes you when she does this. when done on purpose 1-3 is the max. no one goes crazy with their hands and combs it right infront of you on purpose. if she was combing her hair WAY too much as you say, then she could be crazy. but if we assume that she’s not actually nuts, and this is my conclusion, she was doing it for the guy infront of her because he cant see her like you can from the back and she wanted to make sure that each time he did look at her, he saw the signal.

yeah, usually they don’t do it consciously, unless they do it like crazy then it must be conscious. Just like what comradmax said 🙂

It’s not that they’re purely subconscious or entirely deliberate.

And it’s not that pheromones are always associated in a crisp way with a particular individual.

Contra what somebody else here wrote, pheromones on an inanimate object will in fact still evoke subtle neuroendocrine shifts. Pheromone hits are the tip of the iceberg - there is much more going on below the surface.
