Just saw this on TV. [Pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/) in the middle of the pad so your dog hits the mat. Isn’t this just teaching your dog to pee in the house?

My experience with pee pads is mixed! When I used to have to work really long hours, I left out pee pads because I felt awful for having her hold it all day. But then when the pads weren’t there, she’d pee in the same spot even if I was only gone an hour! So I had to re-train her to not go in the house (giving her a treat every time I came home and there was no mess). Now she can hold it just as long as my hours. My experience with dogs is it’s all about routine. If they are used to getting 5 walks, then you need to adjust it down slowly and vice versa.
