# pheromone evaporation

We had the discussion before about leaving togos in a car on a hot sunny day. Knowing the alcohol evaporates, sometimes at an alarming rate, what happens to the [pheromones](https://a314.com/)?

Say i had a full 5mcg/spray togo and 2.5 ml (50%) evaporated, would that leave me with 2.5ml of 10mcg/spray?

Just a little quirk i thought about before i zap myself with a double dose of TUTH on accident 😛.

They will evaporate along with the alcohol.

I left a full bottle in my car once. It rolled out of my bag and under the seat and I didnt know. I didnt find it for a few weeks when I cleaned my car and it was empty. Nothing no alcohol or mones. I think this was because the cap was off and it had somewhere to escape to.

Other then that one time I have never seen them evaporate so I cant say for sure what is left.

Interesting. You didn’t happen to add a little everclear and try using them did you?

Another thing to take into account is the increased temperature, humidity, and direct sunlight could also break down the [pheromone](https://a314.com/) molecules.

No I probably should have tried some everclear to see what would happen but I didnt think of it. I have so many bottles I just threw it out.
