Hi guys, I have just recently purchased [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) and Instant Sexiness. However when I spray them on it smells really strong to me and it’s not exactly my favourite smell… Will it smell different to other people? I only put on one spray and it’s very overpowering for me as I can smell it the whole day but I don’t think that’s enough as there doesn’t seem to be an effect. I do want to try more sprays but if it smells that strongly to me how will other people react? Can pheromones have a negative effect on some people? Also what is the best sort of perfume to cover up that smell. I usually just use Versace or something quite musky and I find that mixed with the pheromones smell it’s even more overpowering and not as nice as by itself. I’ve been reading the posts and a lot of people have mentioned the Pink Sugar… I"m going to get some and try it but is there any other suggestions? ---

Alot of people have been saying that they dont like the smell of the products lately. I am wondering if its the actual Nerioli smell or if its the mone smell that is bothing them. I am thinking its the mone smell. That smell if so foreign to some people I think they are a little taken back when they first use the product. I can wear up to 4 or 5 sprays and not have a problem with the scent being to strong. I cover with whatever fragrance I am in the mood for that day. Pink sugar is a good choice and I love Peach sugar. Yes mones can sometimes have a negative effect on people if your wear way to much but the products you bought are very hard to do that with so I wouldnt worry about it. Will everyone like the smell of the Neroli. I would have to say no but I dont think they will really notice it not like you do when your wearing it. If you like the products in effectiveness you do have other scent options so if you really hate the neroli all is not lost. In the mean time try appling away from your facial area at first till you become more accustomed to the scent. Wrists, back of head. inner elbows. It may be that you just need to get used to the smell of the actual pheromones. Tisha ---

Thanks Tisha, you’re always such a great help. I’ve been reading the posts about the Peach Sugar, is that an actual perfume? I tried looking it up on google but not really getting anywhere. I have read on the posts that it’s a roll on… do you have an actual link to the product? You can get the Peach sugar roll on perfume here. She makes all of her products fresh and does a fantastic job. [Perfumes - Elementals Shoppe](http://www.elementalsshoppe.com/store/WsDefault.asp?Cat=Perfumes) I like the oil because it lasts longer and has a “truer” \<\<\< (is that a word LOL) scent. There is a little drop down menu so you can choose your scent. She has a ton. If you look at the left hand side there is a link to all the scents under information. I love the sugar blends. She mentioned she is coming out with more sugar blends in in August and they are having a huge sale then to so sign up for the news letter so you know when it starts. Even without a sale her prices are great and her turn around time is not bad at around 10 days. Tisha ---

Binnyliu, try mixing some into your favorite perfume. i work in a very fashion-aware industry and got frequent “WTH are you wearing” comments? i was wearing 1 spray of 2x Instant Shine, and 1 spray of [Instant Female Magic](https://a314.com/product/instant-female-magic/). the joke of the day was whether i had spilled a bottle of Pledge on myself. one meeting got moved to Starbucks, possibly to avoid insulting me. i dont know if its as effective to mix it into something else, but i still see some effect, and the harsh scents are gone. if i spray from the little i left in the bottle, it still reeks, so it isnt my sensitivity that has gone down. ---

Mixing in a bottle of perfume will make it much less effective. You are diluting the mones so much you may as well buy a bottle of pherlure. These are premade mixes meaning the correct ratio of [pheromones](https://a314.com/) have already been mixed. If you want to mix in a bottle of your own scent then you should buy the raw products. I think Pepe part of the problem is you jumped right to 2X because you thought more would be better for you without trying the regular strength. 2x in shine does smell alot stronger and you need to know how to cover that. You cover by spraying it on then letting it dry down for ten minutes then covering with your own scent. This will have the same effect as mixing it with your own scent without diluting the mones or changing the molecules ratio of the product. Tisha ---

Tisha, im sure you have more experience with instant shine than i do, but it seems to be the fragrance used thats overwhelming, not the pheremones. its the same effect i get from a whiff of undiluted essential or absolute oil. im not smelling farm odors, its more like somebody dumped the whole bottle. ---

I am glad you dont smell “Farm odors” because pheromones dont smell like that. Its more like a sharp acidy pee or BO. My point above is that if you dilute the consumer products they will not work as well or at all, so you have to learn to cover them. I am not doubting that you are sensitive to the scent of neroli. Some people dont like the scent at all and this is why they offer it in unscented and some other scent options. Some people buy a different scent just to realize that it was the pheromones that they were smelling. Some end up loving it in another scent. As I am sure you know pheromones are not bought so we can smell pretty they are bought to cause a reaction. You wont get that reaction by diluting. So the only other option so she dosnt waste the product by damaging it is to learn to cover correctly. Then she can see if it truely works for her and buy a different scent the next time if she chooses. Tish ---

No scent is going to please everybody, but the neroli scent is there not to be a pleasing perfume - it’s meant to help diffuse the pheromones and cover them slightly. and then there are the pheromones … lots of new users have a bit of discomfort with how they smell until they get accustomed to it. IS is meant to convey an impression of _youth_ (among other things) and the pheros in it smell like young people’s sweat. It’s a bit sharp yet also somehow appealing. I’d recommend giving it more time, starting with smaller doses and advancing according to the kind of responses you get. Even if our conscious minds (programmed to want to be sanitized of all our vital erotic aromas) resist, we’re hormonally wired to be attracted and invigorated by these molecules. So don’t sweat the sweaty smells - that’s why they work! ---

Thanks Tisha for that link! I went and bought the roll on one straight away. Really excited about Peach Sugar, I’ve only heard good things about it! After I wait for the pheromones to dry can I apply the roll on on top of that? Or should it be applied to a different place? I’m also going to buy the Pink Sugar as everyone seems to be raving about that as well. ---

I have also just purchased MX135, Instant honesty and Lust After Me. What are some other good beginner ones I can experiment around with? I put on 2 sprays of Instant sexiness on the night before when I went out to dinner, it’s not really doing much at the moment, I may have to try more or put it somewhere else. Because of the strong smell I sprayed once at the back of my hair and one spray on wrist… Should I be spraying it somewhere else? The only thing is I woke up the next morning and all I can smell is the [pheromone](https://a314.com/shop/) and to be quite honest I still can’t get use to the smell of them. All through dinner I could smell it and i started getting paranoid that other people could smell the slightly BO-ey smell as well!!! I would like to experiment with more sprays but I’m too scared at the moment cos all i smell all day is the pheromone smell!! What should i do? Binny ---

Binnyliu I know its is making you self consious but people really dont register the BO smell. This is what I did when I first started wearing them. I told a few friends I got a free perfume sample at sephora and that I liked it in the store but on me it smelled funny and I would have them take a wiff and tell me what they thought. Answers ranged from its ok to hmm it smells good. I even flat out asked them if it smelled like BO to them and not one of them said it did. It helped me to feel less self consious about it and the smell really didnt bother me after that. Also try skipping the Instant sexiness for a few days and try your MX135 and see how you feel about the scent of that one. It comes in chocolitini scent. The chocolate is strong but I think it masks the mones better than the neroli. I get a ton of compliments when I wear that scent. IH smells a little odd to me but no one has noticed that but me. I believe its neroli but the mones are different. Lust after me comes in Ylang Ylang which is a fresh smell. I never used it yet but I imagine I would be able to smell the cops in it only because I am aware of what cops smell like. I use EOW which is straight cops and let me tell you the bottle has to be kept in a air tight container in the back of my closet because that is how strong the smell is. I wear it straight and after dry down and covering I still smell it but no one else can which really amazed me. So give the others a try and see if you feel more confident with those on. Especially pay attention to how you feel when you are wearing MX135 because that has TAH in it which is [Instant sexiness B](https://phera.com/product/kitten/) and you just may be more compatible with B. Instant sexiness A has TAL in it and this may be making you feel more self consious because it may not be compatible with your personality. Some of us can get away with wearing both A and B but we do lean more towards one or the other. I am not compatible with B so I feel weird when I wear it. It took some getting used to but I can use it now as long as I keep it away from my face. Tisha ---

When I go to order though it doesn’t give me a choice or have a place to put notes, it doesn’t offer me the option of A or B with the [instant sexiness](https://phera.com/product/instant-sexiness/) and how do i order it with the different scents? ---

Just a tad off-topic, but does anyone know what the scent package is for the Safari mixes? It smells a bit masculine but everyone around me comments on how fantastic I smell, and I can’t figure out what it is! ---

And if I wanted to change the scent of the phreomones where would I go to do that? Mx135 comes in chocolitini scent. I find it strong but pleasant and it drys down nice. You can only get [Instant sexiness B](https://phera.com/product/kitten/) in the full size bottle. On the bottom of you shopping cart page there is a little notes sectionyou can right in. The taste is no different then perfume my husband has never commented on either. Tisha ---

I suspect that the bitter taste is due to the bitrex used to denature perfumer’s alcohol, rather than the pheromones themselves. This is a problem with most commercially available perfumes. That’s why I prefer using straight ethanol or even vodka if I’m mixing something up myself. ---

Has anyone tried the [Instant Sexiness](https://phera.com/product/instant-sexiness/) X2? I have a bottle of that but it doesn’t seem to be as effective. I only wear one spray usually, and the most I’ve done is 2 sprays, but it’s not really doing anything. Should I be spraying more? Does the 2 X make it stronger in both smell and effect or means something else altogether? ---

2x means the active ingredients are doubled so you only need to wear half as much to get the same effect. [Instant Sexiness](https://phera.com/product/instant-sexiness/) comes in A (the default, with more TAL) and B (by custom order only, with more TAH). Most women like A but some (like me) prefer B. I don’t really get results with A; that may be why you’re not seeing anything, either. If you feel better and get better responses wearing MX135 (which is also high in TAH), you may be more the type that would like IS-B.
