My sprays got left in my car for 3 days. They were kept out of sunlight, but they must have baked a few hours each day in 40 degrees + heat.

Should I replace them all?

No, you should test them and see if they work before you replace them, there probably fine.

40-ish should be well within the range for pheros - they are pretty resilient. However, the more volatile scent components can suffer and you do significantly increase risk of evaporation, esp with togos. Don’t be surprised if the liquid darkens a bit after this but again, its not a significant indicator of damage as some mixes will darken in time anyway and remain quite effective.

Its light/UV more than anything that will do for them rapidly, so dark storage is always best.

It was a significant investment I’m talking about, so I’m quite relived to hear this. I’ll let you know how I go with them thanks.

Yes replace them and send the old ones to me… I’ll test them out. 😃

Regarding heat, I usually apply a couple of sprays of [Ammo](https://a314.com/product/ammo/) to my neck after drying off from the shower in the morning. If my hair is still a bit damp 30 minutes later after breakfast, I’ll run a hairdryer over my head for a couple of minutes. Could I be “burning off” the Ammo prematurely?

Don’t make it a habit though. I’ve had instances entire product lines evaporated in my car. It honestly depends on their to-go bottles and which ones you have, I’ve had some that never leaked, and I’ve had some who consistently over and over again dried up.

I make cosmetics - what would happen if the [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/) were heated together with other natural oils such as coconut, or almond oil. Or essential oils… I use heat during the first stage of the process and I’ve been adding pheromones, but I never stopped to think if the heat was damaging them. No UV or anything. Stored in dark bottles after.

As this is your first post, rather than pitching-up on random, barely connected threads, why not post your own thread in the Intro Forum, with a bit more info about yourself, and your questions about how you want to use pheros.

That way we can offer better advice, you get the GC and your questions don’t get lost. 🙂

And if you search a bit harder, you will find there are quite a few threads on mixing pheros into cosmetics and which essential oils are suitable and unsuitable here already. 🙂

It depends on the [pheromone](https://a314.com/) but many of them begin to break down at around 140 degrees so you don’t want to heat more then that. What you have to be careful of as well when mixing them in oils and cosmetics is bacteria.

40 degrees is not bad at all, they should be fine. We worry about the heat of the car more in summer months when car temps can actually get close to 140 degrees.

Evap is another thing to consider though. That will occur at lower temps but it wont break down the mones it just throws the dosage ratio off.

I would say in your case your mones are fine.
