Hi everyone,

I’ve posted before here that I have had depression and other physicatric disorders and still do though acute.

I have been told that mones deplete neurotransmitters. These are essential for the brain to work are they not? And there are only so much to use in a given day.

I find when I use A314/IS my favorite mix I am often blessed with extreme mental focus and happiness knowing that my mind is laser sharp for activities like guitar playing.

However sometimes the next day I feel drained and foggy.

Is this how everyone reacts? I eat a well balanced diet (lately anyways) full of rich fats from eggs, salmon, fish oil etc to help out my brain. I heard caffeine destroys neurotransmitters and it often creates anxiety for me causing disturbed sleep. Putting on some mones the day after something like this often just magnifies the problem.

Any tips how to maximize neurotransmitters and how to wear mones without depleting them to a level that would cause my illness to get worse. I think diet and sleep is key. That is my personal viewpoint.

I also find high none products cause me to tune out rather quickly. Could be the colognes contain too much alcohol and even a single spray of cologne can often cause me to feel brain fog. Alcohol at 1 glass of rum and coke and do the same.

My best bet is to stay away from heavy scented colognes, and also stay away from alcohol, eat a high fat diet, and gets lots of sleep.

Some mones are better for the mind but I often read reports how people are out of it a few days later… I can’t handle that with my illness.

My main area of focus with mones is to have a sharp mind, be seen as high status, and create a following, possibly earning more popularity with my guitar playing.

My days of ONS etc are behind me. With this illness my main focus is on health and not further destroying my mind. Any mones which cause tuning out in even healthy adults would be disastrous for anyone with bipolar.

Any tips. Or info to add. Much thanks

I’m a little leary as your problem is considered clinical and thus you’re essentially asking us to give something that might be construed as medical advice over the net which is risky.
That said I’ll mention that for improved focus, memory, concentration and mood I take a supplement called “Mind Power RX”. It contains a variety of neurotransmitter precursors (substances that get converted into NT’s while in the body) and support nutrients that assist in conversion.
If you consider looking into this, I do strongly urge that you consult a physician before hand, especially if you’re taking any anti dep meds at the same time. Prozac and drugs that deal with the Serotonin system may work in synergy with a supplement like this and create Serotonin Syndrome or other more serious side effects so please proceed with caution.

Best of luck, RAD

I’ve never heard of mones depleting them at all. In fact I personally have even suggested they work them out and get them fired up. However like a good workout at the gym when we use them like they are designed to be used and get them firing like good little transmitters, they can get tired and need a rest. If this is what you are speaking of its not actually depleting them, its building them up to work more efficiently.

You might want to take a good multi-vitamin if you are getting tired after a mone workout. Also think about some nootropics to help with the brain.

> Any tips how to maximize neurotransmitters and how to wear [mones](http://www.pheromonetalk.com/) without depleting them to a level that would cause my illness to get worse. I think diet and sleep is key. That is my personal viewpoint.

Actually its common medical knowledge that certain substances like caffeine, alcohol, stress and drugs deplete neurotransmitters. In fact anything that stimulates the neurotransmitters and **is used frequently** can deplete them. [Pheromones](https://a314.com/) stimulate the neurotransmitters, thats how they work. If you use them daily for long periods they will deplete. If you wear high dosages a lot this can happen as well. If you have other medical conditions like depression your more prone to quick depletion.

Now keep in mind…

To deplete just means to decrease. It doesn’t mean they dont come back.

Jasmin posted that Ishine Taf and a few others deplete them similar to Caffeine.

Look around the forum and you will find her posts. Here is one.

> The downside is the physical and mental expense, which is why we won’t use a lot of it in a complex mix. It puts your brain in such high gear, there’s no doubt that you’re burning up neurotransmitters faster than usual. Happens with me - I sleep like a baby the day after I wear high [TAF](https://pheromonelabs.com/) . It’s something best used rarely, for very specific purposes.

These are just tips. I am not a Doctor so if your unsure of something ask him/her first.

Tweak your diet more. I know you mentioned you eat well but you didnt get into that much. Add nuts and whole grains. Eat 5 smaller meals a day if you can spaced out about 2 1/2 to 3 hours apart. Never eat a carb without a protein. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day and take a good multi vitamin rich with amino acids.

Take breaks every week from wearing mones. I take 2 to 3 days off a week.

When you apply the spray ones do this… Hold your breath… spray on …then walk away from the area you sprayed them. This works well for people sensitive to perfumes as well. You dont get a nose full of wet molecules that way which can over stimulate.

Apply mones where they wont waft up into your nasal passage all day. Mones are for effecting others not you so you can wear them on the back of the head and neck as well as the front.

Sleep is when you replenish the most neurotransmitters so make sure you get at least 8 hours a night.

Did your doctor suggest a high fat diet ? If so do you know why ? If he did stick with it but I would ask why.

High fat diets can increase the risk of depression. Balancing out whole grain carbs and low fat proteins like fish chicken turkey nuts and certain beans makes more sense to me but you may have other issues you doctor is treating which is why I ask.

You could look into nootropics or Mind Power RX but I would consult your doctor before taking that route because we dont know what meds your on and what is naturally being depleted in your system that is causing your illness. Taking these without knowing that can throw the balance off and actually overload them. There is evidence showing that overloading them can bring on schizophrenia in those prone to it.

**I just want to make this clear to members so there is no misunderstandings** pheromones do not “overload” your neurotransmitters in the same sense as ingesting a supplements can.

Supplements can make the **body produce more** of certain transmitters and if you dont need them and your body cant get rid of them due to some medical conditions, you can overload.

**Pheromones do not make you produce more in the bod** y. They do connect with receptors in the brain that cause certain neurotransmitters to fire more then usual which can cause a “overload” of firing. The word has a different meaning though. In other words “overload” in this case means an over emotional response like you see with anone and anger or A1 and feelings of sadness. It temporary.

Pheromones **do not cause** clinical depression or schizophrenia . These are caused by a inbalance created from functions **inside** the system.

Can p102 in particular help me out? I need to focus and good memory and good listening skills since I’m a musician. I heard stories about how p102 improves hearing senses, and also improves long term concentration. Any advice? Tish, Iwill take your advice and stay with mones as opposed to supplements as they often contain ingredients (like gingo biloba which speeds blood flow to brain but since I’m on meds takes my meds to my brain even faster which is no good).

So overall I think I will stick to good diet and mones. if you had to choose between A314/IS and P102 which would be better for focus , concentration, memory and alertness?

P102 seems so cheap. Some here swear by it, but there is not enough evidence about it in testomonials.

Well I wouldnt choose any of those for focus per say.

P102 doesnt focus you it stimulates the auditory senses from my experience. Its more of a clarity or a crispness. You could say alertness to those senses. I think it would be a great choice for a musician.

Focus and concentration would be TAF but go real low in the dose and keep in mind this one can make you tired.

If you are seeing a professional, I would suggest that you could raise this issue/matter with him and seek a possible postulation on his part.

If you are under medication - Certain medications tweak the neurotransmitters and chemical balances in the brain by affecting receptors, sodium channels and chemicals eg. serotonin and or dopamine. Certain medications interfere particularly with the operation of neurotransmitters, blocking or inducing the firing of certain regions of the brain. If mones might affect neurotransmittors, you might want to find out whether something inhaled can affect whatever you’re consuming, what contraidictions you “might be facing”.

Several users have reported to getting used to the effects once the mones are “spent”. Most of us (including myself) have found that we sooner or later get used to the mones and are no longer affected/as affected. We are still not entirely clear or agreed on whether and how mones affect neurotransmittors (I do believe they get depleted because I’ve experienced “crashes” from my earlier uses)

I do not suggest you discontinue medication if you are currently on it, and if you aren’t, do closely monitor yourself and watch for effects, are they positive? are they negative? Do you feel particularly high/happy (mania) or do you feel particularly emotional or having a depressive episode outside of the ordinary while using mones.

You’ll largely have to depend on yourself as mones are still pretty much mostly uncharted territory. You can tell and easily ask about drug contraindictions for clinical medications, but when it comes to something like that, you probably won’t know until you try yourself

Maybe someone can start doing MRIs of brains that are using mones and not using mones, and then also MRIs of brains that are using mones without disorders and brains with disorders using mones and look at the difference.

As always, the basic rule of thumb is

1. If it feels good, continue
2. If it doesn’t, stop whatever you’re doing

Do you think P102 would make a musician learn better (focus memory concentration) or only listen better to sounds?

Well if you hear the sounds better it only stands to reason that you would learn more. I dont think it will make you remember more. So far no [pheromone](https://pheromonelabs.com/) has been reported to do that.

Most people know I opt on the side of alternative medicine. This is not to say traditional medicine is not good. It has its place but I prefer to take a holistic approach and deal with illness and health on a body mind and spirit level instead of just “put a band-aid on it” method.

I want to make it clear I am not suggesting you dont see a doctor or stop listening to him/her.

Depression is linked to lose of memory and concentration and to make matters worse its also a side effect of some of the medication people take for it. It doesn’t treat the cause of the depression either. I am not suggesting you stop using them because you mentioned you have other psychiatric disorders. I would consult a functional medicine practitioner along with you regular doctor. Doctors just repair the problem so you can cope with it. Functional Medicine Practitioners find the source of the problem and correct it so it doesn’t have to be treated.

I have a direct link to my function med practitioner and this is what she suggest you need to take to replenish neurotransmitters …

B-complex vitamins
Vitamin C
Vitamin D3
Essential fatty acids (omega-3’s)
L-theanine (amino acid)
Cysteine (amino acid)
Zinc

So find a good multi vitamin that contains these or at least comes close then get the ones separately that are not in there like the D3

Pheromonally the only thing I have used that increases focus is again TAF. Nothing I have used has effected my memory. This is not to say there is nothing that will pheromonally just that if there is we dont know what it is just yet so you need to approach this problem from another angle and discover why your depressed and instead of just treating the depression correct the problem so its not a problem anymore.

Taking multivits is good, that’s what I do. Also other supplements at times.
I did try the Mind RX which was posted here, didn’t find it of any help to improve my brain lol…wasn’t tired before I took it but after taking it felt a bit odd.. so I don’t think I need Mind Rx myself. Just healthy eating lots of vegs and drinking water, plus multivits..

The best thing you can do to improve emotional stability, mental clarity, and focus is regular weight training combined with a high-protein, low-carb diet.

Then you can use pheromones to influence the way you make other people feel.

Actually, there are a number of different pheromones that I think would aid in creation of music, but they are mostly for CREATIVE use. Meh, that isn’t necessarily true. Serotonin can be lowered in many people who cut carbs to far or to fast. Low serotonin isn’t a prescription for happiness or mental stability, and under a ketogenic diet, in people prone to lower serotonin levels, it won’t rebound. You might have heard of the Atkins Attitude? In general we call starchy foods, “comfort” foods, for a reason.

Everyone isn’t the same, and not everyone suffers this lowering of serotonin…

here’s an interesting quote I found

"Some researchers believe an imbalance of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids may lead to a variety of mental disorders, including hyperactivity, depression, brain allergies, and schizophrenia. A balanced ratio of the two fatty acid families (omega-3 and omega-6) is necessary for a healthy brain, which is structurally composed of a 1:1 ratio of omega-6 to omega-3. Western diets, however, tend to have at least twenty times more omega-6 fats (from meat and dairy) than omega-3 fats–an unhealthy ratio of 20:1.

This imbalance can be corrected by eating more omega-3-rich fish and flax seed oil, by eating less sugar, and by completely avoiding trans fatty acids found in partially-hydrogenated oils, margarine, and shortening. In fact, to err on the side of safety, avoid “supermarket” oils and salad dressings unless they are clearly labeled “cold-pressed” – or in the case of olive oil, “extra virgin.” "

So avoiding transfats as one should in a correct low carb helps a lot with brain chemistry..

Define “reduce”.

I’m not here to advocate for a high carb diet by any means, ala Ornish or anything. But consistently eating less then 50 carbs a day, unless you have a metabolic disorder, will sooner or later cause a drop in serotonin, and T3, among others. Many people who benefit from reducing carbs do so from elimination of an item in their diet to which they had a sensitivity, like gluten. If by cutting carbs you mean cutting out the white flour, sugar etc, then yes most people will benefit from that. Reducing sugar and insulin spikes has a multitude of benefits.

Yes that’s what I meant, cutting white flour and sugar, and transfats too..
And unless one is diabetic you can of course _occasionally_ eat the occasional higher carb food…
