What is the connection between the two? I see several people on here talking about NLP, as if there is some sort of connection. Do people trained in NLP use [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/) to begin the NLP process?

Basically NLP is to be used to the betterment of an individual. It is intended to heighten self awareness in order to come across more naturally with people socially. At the pinnacle of its greatness it is to be used as a way of altering
mental and emotional behavior in order to get past psychological limitations that have been imposed on ourselves through environment and/or simply from ourselves. Pheromones with positive self effects on the psyche can aid in the process of NLP. Obviously it is not magic pill and you yourself must subscribe to naturally carrying yourself and cultivating your inner self so that you may have a aura of pwnage on and off the field. Any mones that augment any aspect of sense of self should be regarded as a great tool in the whole process.

P.S. IMHO a person who has truly reached self actualization from maslow’s theory combined with the magnificence of mones is a shining star that shines so bright noone can deny their profound presence in this world.

No NLP and Pheromones have no connection other then they are both forms of looking and triggering thought patterns.

Most people into pheromone science are into other “new age” ideals (some not so new LOL) But we think outside the box which I think makes this community so interesting and open.

Jasmin the owner of smartmones studied NLP with Richard Bandler so you see it often mentioned in the forum.

Oh, wow. Interesting!! Thank you for letting me know that it had to do with New Age Tisha. And for all the information that serves to explain nlp, OA!

Actually Tisha, it may just be me, but i do see some interesting connections between nlp and pheromones.

I trained with John Grinder - Bandler’s cofounder - and he always emphasises sensory acuity - paying attention to what’s going on.

In nlp they train you to watch people’s faces and non verbals closely.

One effect I see regularly when I’m wearing pheromones is a slight reddening - a superficial flush in people’s faces.

And women’s non verbals (IOIs as they get called here,) are often missed by men. They’re a key indicator that the 'mones are working.

There’s a lot of NLP that’s about communicating directly with people ‘outside their conscious awareness’. And pheromones are doing exactly the same thing…communicating deeply but mostly covertly with other people.

Plus NLP encourages careful listening to what people say, and CTTM and IH can help a lot in that process.

In speed seduction and nlp used by PUA’s there’s a lot of anchoring - associating certain states with specific signals, and I’m interested in how 'mones may be used in that process too.

I’ve introduced my NLP coach to phermones and this website, so we may get some insights from him too.

I understand your comparisons of both methods. As I said they are both about triggering and looking at thought patterns but its the only connection. Its like taking two different paths to the same destination. One by boat, one by plane. You may end up in the same place eventually but how… when… what… and why are totally unconnected to each other.

No Cttm and IH encourages others to talk and open up more, it does not encourage you to listen carefully to what they say. We encourage that here because many of the experienced users are trained in NLP and know this makes it easier to see the pheromones working.

Paying attention is necessary in NLP. Its not with pheromones. People will react to the molecules whether your paying attention or not.

Pheromones signal peoples emotions through chemical reaction. You can totally ignore the person and not respond but they will still respond to the pheromone signal in some way. Of course if you continue to ignore them they will usually stop because your signal and behavior do not match.

NLP signals peoples emotions through verbal cues, reading behavior patterns and by your response to there actions and emotions. You have to respond. You have to interact.

In both cases you influence a emotional response but its by different pathways.

So in answering his original question…

I still have to say no, you can use one without the other. They are not related

Now if he had asked …

Are both pheromones and NLP useful in communication and self improvement ? I would have to say yes they are as well as many other subjects we talk about here.
