Hey guys tried doing a search but couldnt see much on this topic.

Im just wondering if any [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/) stimulate facial hair growth. I;ve never really been able to grow facial hair well, but I swear since Ive b een using pheromones daily, have noticed a slight thickening and increase in growth rate.

Am I being crazy paranoid or does 'None stimulate hair growth, given it increases testosterone levels.

Cheers
Rade.

What products are you using ? I’m not an expert in biochemistry but it’s my guess that pheromones can’t have the same effect than hormones because of the way they are assimilated. Maybe if you had some pheromone IV your body could react this way but anyway I’m no expert…

-none actualy decreases testosterone levels. Natural -none output is related you Testosteron levels however. The more testosterone produced the higher your -none output.

> …there is evidence of physiological changes resulting from semiochemical exposure. Also studying behavioural effects of semiochemicals at Vienna, Atzmüller (unpublished) reported a significant decrease in testosterone levels in men exposed to [androstenone](https://a314.com/product/turn-up-the-heat-tuth/) for 15 minutes, when compared with men exposed to a control scent of lemon oil. At the same time, a significant negative correlation was reported between testosterone levels and co-operative behaviour, i.e. males with high testosterone levels co-operated significantly less than those with lower levels of testosterone. This has implications for the role of [androstenone](https://a314.com/product/turn-up-the-heat-tuth/) in social behaviour; males who produce high levels of [androstenone](https://a314.com/product/turn-up-the-heat-tuth/) may well be inducing greater levels of co-operation amongst other males by virtue of the testosterone-reducing effect of [androstenone](https://a314.com/product/turn-up-the-heat-tuth/) exposure.

is anyone here exposed to a copulin mix?

is it possible that certain mixes have hidden copulins in order to induce a natural test rise, but not enough cops to appear “dirty” ?

I haven’t notice anything unusual in hair growth. Pherhaps I may have a thickening of facial hair, but my preception would be scewed because of this post.

Have you guys been exposing yourselves to chlorine lately? Being exposed to chlorine as used in a pool or hot tub will make your hair and fingernails grow faster than normal.

A theory I just thought of. If -none drops your testosterone levels, and we are applying much more than our bodies would naturaly product, then wouldn’t our bodies compensate for the drop and produce more testosterone? That could potentialy lead to hair growth.

i definitely am no biochemist but my thoughts would be that you are assuming that the product is actually penetrating our dermis and circulating throughout our system. when i worked out a couple years ago i was taking a (then) legal supplement that was basically methylated testosterone(i was trying to get big then…and steroidal supplements do work, if you’re smart with them), being that my body had way more testosterone circulating than it would normally would produce it started to shut off it’s own production…but that was with an ingested product.
being the devil’s advocate, perhaps the inhaling of chemical signals could be effective when you think of the stories of women who live together and how their cycles almost hit in unison…though i don’t know if that is an old wives’ tale or not.
i do know our hormonal system is definitely an intricate, delicate and usually well regimented system!

had to follow up to my post about women and their cycles when they are living very closely…according to the magazine ‘allure’ for this month, it is NOT a wives’ tale and they do acknowledge that something like that is PROBABLY due to pheromonal signals. the article in allure is okay…really doesn’t go one way or the other on the subject of pheromones, but it was kind of interesting to see the article popping up now…

First off, I love this thread 😃

> [@](#):
>
> you are assuming that the product is actually penetrating our dermis and circulating throughout our system.

Actually, Vanyel, inhalation of permeable chemical compounds is the quickest way anything can get to your bloodstream (well, I guess IV comes CLOSE 🙄 ). The common cocaine user will tell you that 😮. Or… even marajuana.

Silliness aside, I’m certain pheromones are not small enough to get through your lung tissue.

It is known that pheromonal response is accomplished through a signal pathway. The pheromones brush over the olfactory bulb (or vomeronasal organ, its in debate with humans), and, having a specific conformation-structure, triggers a nerve impulse (which goes to the brain) where… your brain does tricksy things like tell you your pants will soon explode.

… or … like tell you you’re supposed to wait longer “next cycle” before you ovulate! Because ovulation should be done as though your clan is preparing for a copulation festival!

Oh, here’s a scientific journal for that “copulating at the same time” thing:
-its a good read from '98, searchable through Google Scholar (if my link fails).

PS: It should also be said that the signals received by the brain should have the ability to alter your brain’s hormone production. Although, I don’t have a source to cite for that one. It follows that there are some hormonal changes in your body when you simply get “turned on” - by exposure to pheros or otherwise.

I guess this doesn’t want to edit for me… oh well.

I forgot that cocain is actually absorbed through the mucous membrane in your olfactory area and thus, is not actually an example for things being absorbed through the lungs…
… perhaps inhalation of hydrogen cyanide would have been a better example?

Also, I meant to introduce the journal article as a “ovulating at the same time” thing, rather than “copulating…”

…oops

I should also mention (ON the topic), that yes, I do find that I have to shave my face twice a day since I’ve begun my “instant gentleman” trials.

great follow up…though being absorbed like cocaine probably made more sense…there are all sorts of medications they are considering making available through nasal spray delivery as those mucous membranes are nicely permeable.and great for delivering things quickly into our system. also i was thinking about it and with the testosterone gel i use, those molecules must be small enough to penetrate to get to my system so i imagine that application dermally ‘probably’ allows for some absorption. i am, of course, assuming that pheromonal molecules aren’t any larger than testosterone molecules…but again..i am definitely no biochemist! i did read some articles about womens’ cycles and living in close quarters that sounded legit…

to add my actual two cents…i’ve been using the edge and a314 daily and i’ve noticed no speed in my facial hair growth…but that could be due to a soy dna serum i’m using as part of my skincare routine and from what i’ve read soy can bind, though weakly, to estrogen receptors…it seems that my hair hasn’t been growing in so quickly as it was before pheromones or this serum.

</div>

Well, given as these sprays are at most at the tens of microgram concentration, I doubt any pharmacological effect of inhalation but possibly the sensing of them in males produces a certain “respect” in beta males and causes they to downgrade testosterone levels and become compliant and cooperative to get protection from the potential alpha male with high androstenone (and thus, most likely, testosterone) levels… Evolutionarily speaking it sounds plausable, perhaps those with high -none concentrations in their sweat were the leaders of packs and societies.

As for the facial hair growth, perhaps the testosterone decrease is actually testosterone being converted into less potent androgenic testosterone analogues such as DHEA, which may result in increased hair growth. Just a guess though…

This reply is VERY late and so you are probably no longer posting here.

However, I found that eating foods high in protein and monounsaturated fats will increase testosterone. This will (and does) increase the amount of facial hair on my face.

I have a very thick set of hair under my chin and the upper lip… so I could easily grow a thick goatee. However, I have very little sideburns and much MUCH less of the hair in between. By eating more protein and monounsaturated fats, I found that over the last few weeks more of my facial hair is coming in at 24.. .and in many ways faster than it came during puberty.

For breakfast I will have 4 whole eggs, 1 cup of oatmeal, and 1/2 avocado. For dinner I almost always have a steak that I cooked on a pan with extra virgin olive oil (high in monounsaturated fat) with 2 cups of broccoli and cauliflower (they contain chemicals that block some estrogens).

I’ll also eat a few cloves of garlic daily.

I hope this helps.

Try and find grass fed and finished beef. Higher in monounsaturated and lower in saturated fats then corn (grain) fed/finished beef.

I’m looking at the study you’ve linked. I’ve pulled out some items that I think are relevant.

>
> Hypothesis One
> HA-1
> _“Subjects will type significantly more characters in the easy task than in the hard task”_
> …
> A 2 x 2 x 2 repeated measures ANOVA revealed a highly significant main effect of task difficulty on task performance _F_ (1,76) = 659.76, _p_ \<0.0005. Hypothesis HA-1 is retained.
> …
> Hypothesis Two
> HA-2
> _“Subjects tested in the presence of an observer will type significantly more characters in the easy task and significantly fewer characters in the hard task than subjects who are not tested in the presence of an observer”_
> …
> _n_=40. Note the differences between the means: in the audience treatment the subjects scored more highly on the easy task and less higly on the hard task than did subjects with no audience. This difference was significant (_p \< 0.005)
> …

> …
> It is possible that a significant effect of _androstanone presence on scores in the easy task may have been found had the sample size been larger.
> …
> The table shows that approximately 250 subjects would be required to achieve a significant effect (power = 0.8) given the small difference between means of the different treatments and the large variance between individuals’ scores on the easy task.
> …
> When the subjects’ sex was included in the statistical model (making a 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 within-between design) an interaction between subjects’ sex and audience treatment emerged as significant F_ (1,72) = 5.047, _p_ \< 0.05. Examination of the means (see Table 4) reveals that men without an audience typed many more characters in the hard task than did women with or without an audience, or men with an audience.
>
> Table 4 also shows contrapositive findings: the mean score for women with an audience was higher in the easy task than for men with or without an audience, and women without one.
> …
> However, conducting the same ANOVA without the most extreme data points resulted in _ **no significant interaction of task difficulty, audience and sex,** _ _F_ (1,66) = 3.1, _p_ \> 0.05, whereas all other interactions remained at similar _p_ values.

This study was trying to show two things, 1) that in general, semiochemical detection and processing is possible in humans; and 2) that Androstanone, specifically, influences performance in the same way that a present human audience does.

They did see a trend for the easy task to be performed more quickly in the presence of Androstanone, and a trend towards degradation of performance for the hard task in the presence of androstanone. However statistical analysis showed both trends to be non-significant. This suggests the possibility of semiochemical detection, but doesn’t prove it.

The data did not support the hypothesis that Androstanone has the same influence on performance that the presence of an audience has. But because the trend was present it was hypothesized that had the sample size been larger a significance would have been found. That sample size was determined to be 250 individuals - an unwieldy number for further testing.

When an unexpected potential effect based on sex was discovered and analyzed, it also was found to be non-significant.

If you follow the link below and read through the Discussion portion, you will see that there were quite a number of design flaws, which the authors opined were too unwieldy to correct for.
