I tend to gel my hair a lot, and I’ve been told by several posters to apply things like [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) and whatnot to my hair. Would the gel inhibit dispersion and whatnot?

for me it doesn’t. style your hair, wait for it to set, then spray right on.

I also gel up before going out to bars and parties and stuff like that. I have no idea how it effects [pheromone](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/) dispersion, but I still apply some stuff to my hair. I guess you could also apply some to the back of your neck if you want to still get good dispersion and limit self effects.

Actually it depends on the gel. Gels and lotions inhibit the diffusion of the [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/). They are generally heavier molecules. Without diffusion you wont get hits unless people are putting there noses right in your hair. Diffusion is one of the main problems pheromone users come up against.

Just be sure to apply your gel first and let it set then spray your mones on top. This should help in allowing the molecules to freely defuse.

Yep, just wait for your hair to dry and you’ll be good.
