as part of a complex chemical mesh- some defensive (like IH) some to promote good vibes,(Instant Shine) some to seduce etc- all _ **way** _ more than I ever thought of when I stumbled across this site!

OK cueing up some newbie questions
In addition to having a beautiful 17 yr old I also have an almost 11 ADD/ADHD girl with her share of social “issues”
I know this stuff isn’t for children but life can be pretty cruel to a little ADHD girl
Anyone have any experience with possibilities that could help her in specific scenarios?

🙂 Noble

**She needs more than pheromones to do this ! -** 24 Minutes Ago

Depending on your location, I would consider an investment in good NLP training… the quality and availabilty of NLP is all over the map though… good NLP helps you formulate the right questions and observe the responses carefully… pheromones without good “deep level attentiveness” training can produce a lot of disorganized mental scattershot… in practice you need to study with 2 or 3 of the best trainers in seminars, not just by listening to or watching recorded material… for some reason the UK has been a far more fertile place for NLP development, they take to it culturally better than Americans, we have good teachers like John LeValle, Doug O’Brien (supposedly doing excellent things with beliefs/values these days)… without superior skills it is hard to generate superior results…

So… just discreetly spraying Jen down before the big date could be counterproductive…hmmmmmm and these NLP classes-I’m a Yank-- do they have them here?

Also trying to figure out how to paste pics …none of the ones in My Picures have a URL…

for ADHD the Photosonix Nova Pro 100 is superb

speaking as an adult with strong residues of a bad case of ADHD as a kid… I found the Photosonix, used _without_ the flashing light glasses, only use the headphones, and use the “full range aerobic jumper” program, this is their special applications program #2… will do a fine job of unsticking one’s brain from bad attention patterns, without drugs. Depending on the situation you may have to use some meds, however the Photosonix is brilliantly designed to interrupt the ADHD problem at a basic processing level…

For a kid or young adult trying to become socially graceful the richer the skill set, the better it is taught, the more elegant it is, the greater the long term life success. [Pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/) _won’t_ give anyone skills outright. They _may_ create conditions where one is exposed to a wider range of behaviors and as a result learns to appreciate, and cope elegantly with such behaviors…

This is the same problem that innocent users who expect to become magically attractive will face… yes, you may get yourself noticed, and you may hold someone’s attention for longer than you might, you might even briefly be fascinating to someone… but sooner or later people will know your true level, how informed you really are, how good your judgement is, whether you have good taste or not, how well you speak, what books you have read, if any, what you know about life in general…

The only “solution” there is a strong drive to self betterment through education, exposure to real culture, confronting life’s challenges head on, being willing to have one’s narrow ideas expanded… no simple substance can do that… it comes down to willing oneself to a higher place… some do, some don’t.

As an ADD mother, I am doing and will do all I can to help my little ladies
J is neuro typical, R is very ADD, S is severely autistic, and the boys are PDD-NOS
I’m too old to think anything is an “instant fix”
but still want to help
What is Photosonix?

Photosonix is a light/sound “mind machine”

They strongly advise against using any form of flashing light stimualtion where there is a possibility of seizure disorder. In my own use, the flashing lights we’re overstimulating. This defeated the purpose of entering into a “smooth flow” state. So I put the goggles into a box and forgot about them. All I do is select the progam I want, put on the headphones, adjust the audio volume, and lie back.

You clearly have kids with significant problems that require a multi-modal therapy and lifestyle response. The tough, realistic fact of life is that once the brain structurally “set in place” during the early months of life, no after the fact treatement will cause the brain to reconstruct itself as a normal brain.

Superior teachers, coaches, therapists can absolutely help the child to make the best possible adaptation to normal life, and nutritional/dietary and environmental changes (like detecting potent allergens and removing them, IF they are a problem), as well as good psychological counseling for the parents, who will need exceptional coping skills to deal with the added stress…

There are blood testing laboratories who claim to have observed abnormalities (such as a balance between copper bearing proteins and zinc), or the presence of high level immunuoglobulins for certain grain proteins… Great Plains Diagnostics Laboratory was offering these tests some years ago and now appear to be out of business with no other references to autism and copper metallothein protein are on the web…

From that I infer that there was a flurry of interest in the copper/zinc theory that was later disproved (at least for now, who knows, it may come back in a new form later)… but for a while desperate parents were ordering expensive blood tests hoping that they’d found the magic button… didn’t seem to work that way in practice…

There is one laboratory that has earned long term respect in nutritional testing… they do not and never have claimed any special understanding of autism… they do excel at seeing into the deep layers of nutritional metabolism and uncovering hidden problems that no other known test can…

You can find them at:

I think, depending on your economic situation, that some basic nutritional testing would be a good idea, not that it would relieve the fundamental problem, but rather that there might be a cluster of issues that present as autism, and some metabolic problems might (or might not) be a component, perhaps a minor component, perhaps a major one, of the totality of the disorder.

The truth is that nobody has the foggiest idea

Your best decision is to NOT use any unknown agents, pheromones included, as the problems(s) are complex, medicine doesn’t have a good grip on them, what is or isn’t a “cause” may not be knowable… we ARE seeing a rise in “unknown etiology” disorders, autoimmune syndromes, behavioral/cognitive problems, pain syndromes, “fibromyalgia” like maladies… and the most frustrating thing is there are no simple known relationships (yet) between cause and effect… not like A causes B in every case like say with a typhoid bacterium… so you have to take a broad brush strategy approach when dealing with imperfect information… removing environmental stuff is a better overall strategy than adding it, lessening exposure makes more sense than increasing exposure, good basic nutrition makes more sense than faddish wacko diets and nutrients… I’d say, use as many pure, uncontaminated household things as possible, unscented detergents, no bug sprays, filter the air, beware of “fashionable fruits” like big red strawberries that sre grown around large amounts of Methyl Bromide anti-fungal agents… only eat foods that DON’T require high pesticide or fungicide programs to grow them… think this one over, a frightening thought… many insecticides are closely related to… ummmm… nerve gas… and they do to bugs what nerve gas does to soldiers… OK ? Think that one through for a sec… you happen to purchase the most delectable LOOKING fresh foods that haven’t been attacked by insects… well, WHY haven’t they ? When we had gardens as a kid, everything had some insect damage… and it was the healthiest food, BECAUSE it wasn’t toxic to animal life ! In your case, only consider pesticide free organic products, avoid any food with colorants or dyes, don’t go near vile Fruity Bombs or whatever the cereal crap they sell… eat NOTHING… absolutely NOTHING that contains cottonseed meal or cottonseed oil… cotton is the most heavily sprayed crop with pesticides that are not OK for human consumption… most cheapo snack-shit, packaged donuts and other industrial garbage toxin food uses cottonseed flours and oils as a LOW COST FILLER… you wonder WHY cottonseed meals and oils are dirt cheap ? Why you will NEVER see cottonseed oil sold in bottles in supermarkets as a food item YET… IF you read the fine print labels on many mass produced bakery items, there it is… cottonseed oil or cottonseed meal… just disgusting and horrifying…☹

There is no clear answer… you are in an unusual situation

I honestly don’t think there is anyone on the face of the earth who could given you a definitive answer to that question, more, I don’t think it is humanly possible to know. You could have 10 different factors hovering around that nobody has figured out. You can’t know how any substance will fit in to that equation.

I think that common sense tells any rational person not to do stuff if there is a possibility of an unpredictable outcome. So if I were in your position, no, obviously, I would NOT use them. No more than I would use ANY non-essential material around the house… you are in a position of responsibility here, so you have to use good judgement.

That means thinking for yourself and taking responsibility for your actions. It also means thinking in the best interest of your kids. Using an unknown material around kids with complicated disorders isn’t using good judgement. Your job as a responsible parent, first and foremost, is to protect your kids. So use good judgement and don’t expose them to ANYTHING they don’t absolutely need to be exposed to. Including pheromones.

The answer is NO.

So..I should pack it up then?😮

If something like this could HELP without using the heavy artillery we routinely employ, I’m inclined to give it a cautious “try”

Everyone here seems to note reactions and adjust accordingly

If we try something and have a lovely POSITIVE reaction..then we may have a winner.

We’ve lived with autism for 7 years now, been through a LOT, tried a lot of things that helped, a few that didn’t.

Look, you have to take a highly conservative position

I can understand your frustration, having been through family health issues of simialr nature. You reach a point where you are willing to try anything on the possiblity that it might be the magic bullet.

However, you also must be a rationalist about this. An autistic has major alterations in the brain’s wiring. It is a structural problem that doesn’t respond to medicines. There are no autism pills. I seriously doubt an autistic has the social circuitry to form a behavioral response to a pheromone. My basic thought is that the best care, the most responsible care one can give a person suffering from this condition is the cleanest, least contaminated environment one reasonably can. I’d do the same for ADHD kids too.

It is possible that the environmental contaminant/allergen theory is bogus too. Clearly, there IS an agent in the environment, possibly something in the food chain that bears a distant relation to prion diseases (like Mad Cow) no thanks to our completely revolting way of producing meat… and possibly this has absolutely nothing to do with anything in the environment once the damage is done. Possibly. But it would be premature to bet on it. And irresponsible.

Before I did anything else, I would try experimenting with the best air filtration, and other enviromental exposure reductions. Simply do this and make notes on a regular basis… then you have a clear path of inference… IF you filtered the air, and the child shows improvement, THEN you may have evidence that the child IS being affected by environmental contaminants… the other way is not a good idea, say, spraying the room with insecticide and observing the results…

So yeah, pack it in… or only use your pheromones in ways that your kids won’t be exposed to them, which may be difficult. DO, if feasible, put an AustinAir Healthmate with the Plus filter in the bedroom and see if there is any change. DO see what European doctors are doing about these problems… DON’T use any soaps, detergents, or cleaning product with fragrances or odorants. DON’T trust “sure fire cure” quacks who peddle dubious, untested therapies…

BTW, Great Plains Laboratory is still open for business

I was surprised to see that they’re alive and kicking, so I was mistaken about their demise. This lab specializes in metabolic testing for Autism and ADHD. Your doctor might want to have a talk with their director:

They offer a pretty intense food allergy IgE and IgG test, shows any strong immune reaction to 96 (!!!) food items..

Metallothionein Copper-Zinc balance… which DOES have a certain rationale, even in healthy people… I managed to induce a copper deficiency in myself because I was taking strong zinc (a bit of a health fad these days… lots of zinc) without realizing that I was not balancing it with the right amount of copper… added a trace of copper and I feel substantially better, and that’s only by boosting by 2 mg of copper per day… I mean, who walks around thinking, hmmmm… I feel off, I must be copper deficient… whether it is significant in autism and ADHD is highly debatable…

their blurb says:

“Interest in metallothionein (MT) has attracted considerable interest in the last two years because of data collected by William Walsh, Ph.D. of the Pfeiffer Institute, which indicates the copper to zinc ratio is abnormally high in individuals with autism. Dr. Walsh theorizes that the reason for this abnormal ratio is a deficiency of MT or an altered function of MT in individuals with autism. Based on this theory, Dr. Walsh began offering a treatment for this deficiency based on the use of nutritional supplements that include zinc, the amino acids found in MT, and other nutrients.”

Hi Noblelady

Speaking as an adult with what i believe is a mild case of inattentive-type ADD, I have researched the subject thoroughly over the last few years and definitely agree that a wide-ranging metabolic tests are the best option. There could be a number of things wrong with your children and impacting and exarcebating the autism and ADHD symptoms such as: Sleep problems (there have been studies done showing some ADHD kids don’t breathe properly during their sleep and this results in hyperactivity in the day), Essential Fatty Acids deficiency (you will definitely see calming effect if you feed your kids high dose fish oil - make sure you get a quality, non polluted brand such as Nordic Naturals), Deficiencies of other Vitamins and Minerals (especially deficiency of Vitamin B6, Magnesium and Zinc in Autism), Heavy Metal poisoning (a hair minerals anaylysis maybe best for this - excess Mercury is common in Autism for example), Iron deficiency (common in ADHD kids), Candida Yeast overgrowth and gut problems (common in Autism), food allergies (Gluten Free Casein Free diet works for many for Autism problems, Feingold Diet works for some for ADHD), etc…

I know this sounds very expensive but I believe it is the best way to find out the root of the problem - I am saving up for a number of such tests myself.

Contact me if you have any questions…

Oh and Pheromones will just be a band-aid solution for this kind of problem - however if you want the kids to have more friends I would try [Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/) with extra Experimone -Rone (the combo of ANol, a bit of BNol and Rone works well for me for this purpose)…

Good list!
I guess bottom line is, we _are_ working our way through these and a lot of other dietary and bio med interventions. You are right they ARE expensive, esp as a lot of the labs and tests aren’t covered by our ins. According to our taxes we shelled out a minimum of $18K last year for “misc medical dental” even though we are military and have “full coverage”🙄

Looking back now, I can happily report that so far my use of 'nomes has not visibly/and negatively affected any of the children–except perhaps my oldest daughter who complained my new business mix made her “too chatty” 😉 after she grabbed it and sprayed some on herself before a long walk through Costco 😛

My ADHD daughter really loves the Shine-she thinks _ **it smells great** _ and offers her wrist to rub a bit off mine when I use it

BTW we HAVE used Great Plains Labs as well as Smokey

these tests are expensive, aren’t covered for the most part by our insurance, and it was a challenge getting some of the samples done properly!😮

I hope you can see we’ve put in a lot of work over a long haul
We’re far from any finish lines, and don’t expect any quick fixes.

I remember you! Yea that’s great that you went through the effort and actually did the tests - unlike many people who don’t follow through on good advice. Out of curiosity so far did you find any imbalances from the tests?
