I just got the video game Deus Ex Human Revolution. In the game, you can upgrade yourself with a social enhancer augmentation that secretes [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/), which enable you to persuade NPCs more easily. If only the developers knew how close to reality this concept actually is.

This got me thinking. Do you guys know of any other examples of pheros in pop culture?

I’ve seen pheromones briefly referenced in movies like Batman & Robin, Oceans 13 and Max Keeble. I’m sure theres many others but famously I always when Ivy (the plant girl enemy) used plant pheromones and body replication to stand for important people she kidnapped. She had one of the clones seduce batman and he actually married her during this cartoon episode.

Obviously it doesnt make any sense how Ivy can seduce humans using pheromones from plants but it is the most intriguing example I’ve come across. Matt Damon in Oceans 13 was probably the most amusing display of pheromones although pretty much god like.

Yea I agree, it’s very unlikely that pheromones alone are gonna get you a home run, because not everyone is Matt Damon 😃.

I talked about this in my PheromoneTalk LIVE webcast: [https://pheromonetalk.com/t/episode-10-september-13-2011-webcast-recording-special-update/52376](https://pheromonetalk.com/t/episode-10-september-13-2011-webcast-recording-special-update/52376)

I did the webcast pretty soon right after I finished the game.

Enjoy 🙂

Not at all! 🙂

Doing Rage right now between tasks/projects. Deus Ex was awesome and the pheromone aspect obviously was overblown but very cool. Especially with the Alpha/Beta/Omega meter.
