Hi guys

Got a question for you. I’ve seen a couple of threads on this but they confused me further. So, I’m going to ask it in the most simple way I can.

Here is the scenario, say a gay guy wants to use pheros to attract other men would he use the pheros that the women here use to attract men, or the pheros the guys here use to attract women?

(Mystery Boy aside of course.)

Thanks 🙂

From a logic viewpoint he is trying to attract a guy, not a gal, therefor id say womens [pheromones](https://a314.com/).
On the other hand the other gay guy would be looking for a guy not a gal so if he smells of women.. well… so the women pheromones could also possebly work to his disadvantage.

so i guess the logical approach doesnt work in this case.. ^^

but since some gay guys are very masculin and some are very feminin i guess it depends on what type of gay guy your after.

See, I’m not sure it does so much, because some straight women, for example, are very feminine and others are very toyboyish - so that argument just confuses things more and that would mean the pheros the straight guys here are using wouldn’t work so well on less feminine women.

See, I told you it was confusing! 😃

Perhaps Jas, or one of the gods or goddesses out there can chime in?

EDIT Gay men are trying to attract men who like men - so therefore wouldn’t it make more sense for them to use the products the guy uses but maybe a little less alpha or none (which is the ethos behind Mystery Boy)?

I’m confused, my head hurts…

I think you’re right, May: gay men on the forum report using the same pheros straight men do, with success. Here’s one thread about using 'none:

> [@Upper lip dab of TUTH for passionate kissing](https://pheromonetalk.com/t/upper-lip-dab-of-tuth-for-passionate-kissing/1116):
>
> I have almost run out of TUTH, so I have reduced my usage to rubbing the spray nozzle under my nose on my upper lip right before seeing my client (im a male prostitute, seriously!). The effect makes us really get into kissing passionately, and getting ‘in the zone’ (similar to GHB while lovemaking). This technique of using just a little on the upper lip is effective in heightening our kissing pleasure (with comments like,‘what a great kisser’ and ‘I haven’t kissed like that for a long time’), …

Makes no sense for them to go around smelling of copulins (she-males excepted).

I primarily use the womens mones and they work great to attract men. I have also been hit on by women more then once since I started using them. This never happened to me before I discovered mones and it dosnt really bother me. I would agree with May and Carrie. Use the mones made for your sex.

Totally confusing! I guess we all have the same basic biology as chicks, regardless of whether we like to climb trees or sip tea or both. Can’t hurt to try a few guys’ pheros in teeny doses just for fun. But as a seduction strategy…the girly stuff sure seems to work.

To confuse things more, several pheromones and putatives are unisex. Like androstenol and TAA and P74. Interesting how those are so friendly and upbeat and don’t shout sex.

Hmmm…Great topic! I gotta think about this some more.

Thank you Dr. 🙂

So, as an example, gay men should use the products straight guys use to attract women but avoid the ones with rone?

Out of interest do the studies and research discuss the effectiveness of pheromones for members of the gay community as opposed to the effectiveness for heterosexual individuals? Just wondering if the level of successful use is comparable, better or lower?

Thanks!

Ok I could be wrong.

But this is what I thinkthe theory is.

Gay men want to attract men who are attracted to them. Or to simplify gay men are men who really appreciate and are attracted to other men.

Therefore they will be attracted to men who smell like really sexy men.

So gay men need to use pheros that make them smell like men and not pheros that make them smell like women.

So, they would need to use the pheros guys here use to attract women - and from what it says above studies and research have shown this works well for gay guys.

However, it might be better to avoid the pheros that are closely associated with the aggressive (or overly macho and competitive) vibe that men can have.

Beyond that… I am also a bit confused, but the above does make sense to me. However, it took a bit of time and a lot of help from others here to figure it out.

However, most people here are a heck of a lot more expert and experienced than I am.

I think all pheromones are unisex (copulins are usually not considered pheromones, although they do signal that the woman is ready to mate, still it’s an exception). As we know all pheromones exist on both women and men, only the quantities and the ratios differ .

From JVKohl’s writings (not verbatim): The ratio of Etiocholanone to Androsterone is higher in gay men as compared to straight men.

Now I don’t know which of Androtics’ experimones or putatives is etiocholanone but…

From some of the posts by Michael we have gathered that both TAL and TAH are sexually suggestive and give a gay vibe when worn by men. So they should be prime suspects.

All the friendly pheromones (including the ones that exist in higher concentrations on women) should be fine. Androsterone should be lower in quantity as compared to other female dominant pheromones like TAH and TAL.

There should be slight -none as afterall it’s the most [sexual pheromone](https://a314.com/product-category/sensual-pheromones/) for both men and women but it shouldn’t be in too high of a quantity to signal too much aggression, so really buried deep within a mix. Ratios of all pheromones will still be a matter of personal chemistry.

Gay people seem to have a lot of variability in their personalities and sexual tastes, just as heterosexual people do. I doubt that there is a single answer to the question “What do I use to attract a particular gay guy or gal?”

Consider a couple of heterosexual guys. One likes ladies to dominate him and walk on him with their stilletto heels. Another favors submissive women. I’m willing to bet that these two guys will respond differently to [Instant Sexiness](https://phera.com/product/instant-sexiness/) A and B.

Similarly some homosexuals dress and act in a manner usually associated with heterosexuals of their sex, while others may dress and act in a manner usually associated with heterosexuals of the opposite sex. These tendencies, as well as dominant/submissive, introverted/extroverted, and other tendencies related to their personalities may profoundly influence what pheromones they respond well to.

While there may be some statistical trends that can be ferretted out by studying large groups of homosexuals, I suspect that the variability is still great enough to make those trends of little practical value for any but the least particular PUAs looking for the greatest number of hits from it doesn’t matter who.

A more productive approach might be to get a feel for what the particular pheromones do and then use ones that mesh with and complement the user’s (and target’s) personalities.

I may not know much about this issue, but it seems to me that men will produce the same pheromones regardless as to whether they are gay or straight. Different concentrations, maybe, but they still probably wouldn’t produce pheromones the same way that women do. It’s just a part of biology. Gay guys are attracted to men, so if a gay guy smells a guy smelling like a woman, I don’t think he would be as turned on as he would be if he smelled like a guy.

Anyway, that is just my theory.

Men’s and women’s lizard brains process mones differently. Gay men process the mones the way a hetero woman does, lesbian women process the mones the way a hetero man would. In another thread I posted links to brain scan studies that illustrated this. Try doing a search in the men’s forum, it was a thread where some numb nut was insisting that being gay was a choice, not a condition.

I think that’s what some of the research shows, but maybe it doesn’t stop there. We know our brains can learn to process various kinds of stimuli. Are pheromones just another kind of stimulus, or do they lock into or trigger very specific brain patterns as a result of physiology / brain wiring?

As far as I can tell, there are diverse homosexualities just as there are diverse heterosexualities – here are two wildly different “ends of the spectrum” contrasts:

- “G” is 28, plays rugby, is a cop, has tats from his wrists to his neck and elsewhere, a rocklike body, likes a good fight, drinks Irish whiskey, and is lead singer in a punk rock band.
- “W” is 25, writes a blog, is a consultant, delights in being a provocatively deviant social critic, thin/reedy, hides under chairs during a good fight, drinks beer, dances to the music of punk rock bands.
I don’t think that there is a simple, one mix attracts all formula for sexing boys or girls, whether you are a boy or a girl, heh!

So far, I’m very much surprised and delighted at how **individual** responses are to pheromones. How they change over time and with circumstances.

Yes, there are some things that can be described statistically. I think the research on ‘gay men processing pheros similarly to straight women’ comes under that umbrella. I rather suspect that it is not the case that ALL gay men or ALL straight men, etc. etc.

No rules, just rules of thumb.

But for now, there is so much to still discover. 😛

Basically, areas of the brain “light up” (a lot of activity) in response to mones. The areas the brightly “light up” in women are the same areas the brightly “light up” in gay men, while being ignored or only a weak response in straight men. And so on.

You want to smell like a man, just not a hetero man. Gay men produce less -rone, I believe.
