# Pheros lost their potency after 1 year???

It has been mentioned that pheros will last a long time if I store them properly in a cool dark place, etc, etc…

Well, I do store my pheros properly, but after 1 year I noticed that the my [pheromone sprays](https://a314.com/product-category/spray-pheromones/) do not smell as fresh or potent anymore. It seems like the “Game” scent has withered away to a watered down, less potent “Game” scent.

Does this mean that my pheros have died?? Or is the cologne scent simply dimishing??? I’m thinking (and hoping) that the cologne smell died, but the pheromone are still alive??

What do you think??

I noticed the same thing with the scent of MX292 and MX272 after a few months of storage. Don’t know if it effects the pheros in the product. Might effect diffusion?

Probably the scent has faded but the mones are okay. The reason I suspect this is I’ve stored alcohol carrier chemset mones for years and they’re just as potent as ever. However, some colognes seem to whither in storage. I can say Game on my skin quickly fades to a sour acidic cologne fart after an hour, so crapping out in storage is not much of a stretch.
