Hi all. I took my pheromones out for a test spray to a bar last night, and I did get some strange reactions, albeit not exactly what I was hoping for. Four different people (two guys, two girls) came up to me wanting cigarettes, which is very unusual. I can’t remember the last time a stranger in a bar tried to bum a smoke from me, let alone four in one night. So apparently two drops of A314 (behind the ears and on the wrists) coupled with two sprays of [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) (chest and the back of the neck) is my “I’m a cigarette machine” mix. Can anyone help me get from there to something that makes me seem like less of a sucker? I only have those two bottles and a bottle of Turn Up The Heat, which I haven’t tried yet. Kind of on the side, does anyone else think that Instant Shine is really strong-smelling or is it just me? I’ve always been ultra-sensitive to perfumes/colognes, but I couldn’t help thinking that I was stinking up the whole bar. Thanks. -K ---

Have you never had a girl come up and ask you for a light or a cigarette as a mechanism to get you talking? Perhaps the four that came over were doing something similar - in which case maybe your mix was actually quite successful…😉 ---

I’d thought of that, and almost posted it initially, but I didn’t want my post to ramble too much. Unfortunately, I don’t think that’s what this was. These were just people that wanted smokes. ---

girls are generelly really really bad at picking up guys, the only thing they are usually fairly good at using is their looks. initiating conversation is often somthing like a cigerette or trying to get them to buy them a drink, dont follow her request though, say somthing like "you do know what you call girls that you give money and gifts, right? i dont want to think like that about you, let her think about it until you can se she has figured it out (unless she is to drunk to se the logic 😉 ) and then quickly change subject to somthing completly different. ---

Heh, that’s a good line and I may have to use it sometime without proper citation. 😉 No, really, I thought about it. They only wanted smokes. And I’m especially certain that the two guys ONLY WANTED SMOKES. It was almost like everyone saw me smoking and thought, if I’m going to get a cigarette, that guy is good for it. And like I said, that’s very unusual. ---

You could always up the level of A314 to make people more likely to be respectful. I would try 3 or 4 drops. And I am a fan of using Turn Up The Heat not for it’s sexual effects but instead to give a more dominant presence, particularly combined with A314. ---

Hmm. There’s an idea… I didn’t really want to overdo it, but yeah, people _should_ respect mah authoritah. 🙄 And the good thing about the A314 is that its scent isn’t nearly as strong as the [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/), so I could get away with using more. Instead of seeing you as a “sucker,” maybe they wanted to be like you. You may have single-handedly damaged several anti-smoking public health campaigns with your demonstration of smokey coolness. 🆒 😉 To me, [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) in light neroli smells like a new car. Oh greeeeeaaaat. Yeah, the one girl did say that she needed a smoke because she was trying to quit but couldn’t do it while drinking. Those are the worst moochers, and I’ve been there, done that. [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) actually smells really good, it just seems strong. I don’t want to be one of those people that has a whole weather system of smells surrounding me. But I am sensitive to cologne and perfume scents, so I don’t know. ---

Maybe you’re attributing too much to the [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/). It might have been a coincidence, and you might have been looking too much into the effects of the pheromones (it happens). A314 and IS create effects that are anything but ‘pushover-like’…particularly A314 which projects such a strong sense of dominance. Best bet is to experiment with each product individually to get a feel for how each one works (as opposed to mixing right away). That way you’ll know which effects should be attributed to the products you wear. ---

I’m certainly not ruling out coincidence, I just thought it was odd. I kind of have a “no way am I going over to bother that person” effect on people, so I NEVER get asked for smokes. Then four in one night. Quite an anomaly. ---

Hi, it’s me again… I’ve been reading rave reviews about the P-mixes (P74, 79, etc.). Can someone please explain what those are and what they do? Like I said earlier, I have A314, IS and Heat. Is that a good mix that I should stick with? Should I consider buying some, uh, P…? Thanx in advance. -K ---

Even the more “standard” commercialized products can have differnent effects on/with different people. About all you can do with the test mixes and putatives is keep and eye on other’s reports (using the search function if you want) and see what the consensus is. I’m starting to experiment with [P74](https://pheromonelabs.com/product/p74/) and so far all I can really say is that when I’ve worn it I’ve not had obvious “negative” effects. Most behavior was positive (that “hang around and socialize” type positive response I’ve seen mentioned elsewhere). But I cn’t say _for sure_ it was the P74 and not just something that would have happend anyway.
