Hi everyone! I just received my order today, which includes travel versions of IS, IO, IFM and turn up the heat as well as mx207-212. Now the problem is that I am naturally very cynical, so what I’m looking for is a way to prove to myself that [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/) actually do **something**. It doesn’t really matter to me whether it is good or bad, though I would prefer that it doesn’t involve smelling like I haven’t showered in a month (like spraying myself 6 times with TUTH and heading out into public).

Once I feel sure that these products actually affect myself and the people around me, then the real experimentation can begin, but until then I fear that it will be difficult for me to attribute any differences (positive or negative) in people’s actions to these products. Who can devise a suitable test? I’d greatly appreciate it.

Actually spraying yourself 6 times with TUTH _may_ be the BEST way to “prove” they work…

Most effects for me are subtle and can take up to 15 minutes to start manifesting themselves (like with IOpen and IFM). You may miss what’s happening. I didn’t realize my first “DIHL” had ocurred until almost a half hour after it happened… (I think I was testing Alter Ego that day).

Here’s a pretty good test:

Speed Dating.

I know, sounds cheesy. But hear me out!

You’re in front of a person 1-5 minutes. Long enough for them to get a whiff of your 'mones and be affected. Not long enough for them to get to know you. Basically, you’re rated on first impression.

At the end of the session, you get a card with all the phone numbers of people who want a second date. This is basically a rating statistic!

3 numbers on the card? Bad mix!

10 numbers? AWESOME!

Test speed dating sessions, both WITH pheromones and without. Wear the same garments, go there after a shower, etc. Make sure all the variables you can control stay the same.

Yes, it does. 🙂 But as I open my email this afternoon, what do I find? A group of young professionals in the city looking for single men for speed dating, apparently they filled up the girls spots really fast. Coincidence? Ok, yeah, probably, but I’m trying it anyways. I like the idea of running my own study.

Thanks for the suggestions guys!

There was one thing that really convinced me that pheromones do something: Ammunition made me really irritable. I suspect this is the androstenone, whichI think is a significant constituent of Turn up the Heat too. Try two sprays to the front neck and spend the next 15 minutes in a confined space like a car or small room. If you’re like me, you’ll be a bastard for the next hour or so.

On a slightly more positive - but less poignant - note, carefully watch people’s reactions to their first sniff of Instant Shine. I’ve found a lot of people (particularly men) _really_ light up when they first smell it (sadly it’s only the first sniff that has this effect). If you suspect that this is caused by nothing more than the pleasant neroli scent, compare it with [Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/) (which has the same scent, but different pheromones).

one of my favorite epiphany-moments was when i went to the local pub and was thinking damn, this place is quiet. i mean like people were down or depressed or tired. there were only about 25 people there, but enought to experiment. i filled the air with instant shine and IH and the place lit up so bright that -NO LIE- someone literally went next door to the grocery store and bought a disposable camera and started snapping like crazy! and the laughing was impossible to ignore.
not every nite is _that nite_, but that was when i said no one can tell me different.

Sounds like serendipity just sealed the deal. Gosh, I can’t wait to hear what the results are. Keep us posted, Domer!
