Today while surfing I saw the following article:

I have many of Dr.Dodds products and many members already know about him, his product, “pherofragrance” is decent, in some circumstances, but with all his knowledge and experience, other products work better, PI, NPA, SOE and others, including some on this site, Dr.Dodds main research was in Androstenol and pherofragrance gives reactions consistent with Alpha Androstenol, unfortunatly, thats as far as it goes. This new molecule seems interesting, however the method of application means it would be difficult to for our purposes. We cant exactly walk up to a woman and shove a nasel spray up her nose, this molecule may be too heavy to be air bourne, or perhaps not effective when applied to skin. Interesting though.

For those of you interested in experimentation,

**PT-141 purchase source**
[Synergy Scientific](http://synergyscientific.net/), $60.25 for 10 mg
Other unconfirmed sources exist. Read the forum below for more information.

**PT-141 discussion forums**
[Melanotan.org Forum for Shared Discussions - Index](http://melanotan.org/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl)

**Conclusions so far from my reading:**

1. Dose dependent effects; average for men around 3 mg/dose ($20), very expensive!

2. Need to be stored in fridge.

3. After reconstituting with bacteriostatic water it should be used quickly or stored in the freezer again.

4. Usage can be intranasal or subcutaneous injection (preferably stomach, less chance of hitting a vein).

5. Effect are NOT instantaneous and usually take more than 4 hrs, sometimes 8 hours. Effects last upto a day and then slowly fade away.

6. At the sweet spot, works much better than any ED drug (viagra, cialis etc.)

7. Also works for women

8. Cannot be used in a cologne or perfume, well unless someone figures out how to keep it stable for long time at room temepratures and in a spray. Similar problems exist with oxytocin as well, maybe Verolabs has an answer. Also effective dosage is very high (3 mg/dose has to enter intranasally, sooo…)

if it is anything like Oxytocin, il pass… I have used Oxy from vero labs on controlled field tests, I found nothing in it, no reactions or results, My guess is, its a good placebo for some. However, this molecule may be different…nbully, have you tried it?

It is nowhere like Oxytocin. I made a comparison only to highlight the fact that both are very unstable at room temperatures.

This will be marketed as a drug for people with libido problems (both men and women). Since it works via CNS pathway rather than vascular (like viagra, cialis etc), the effects are not only on genitals but on mood as well. It’s clearly revolutionary for it’s intended effect. From news reports phase II trials have been a tremendous success. It’s expected to hit the market in 3-4 years and will probably be used as an injection or an intranasal spray under doctor’s supervision.

I was wondering if it can somehow work as a libido booster perfume/cologne. But it seems very unlikely. I have not tried it. But I will purchase soon once I am sure I understand how to use it properly.

nbully, maybe we should all chip in a dollar each, and you could test this and other new drugs? im kidding

if you test, please report the results, i have great respect for dr.dodd, his old xcite wipes worked like a charm, and if he is associated with this new molecule, it sounds promising…

Bronzie, I think you misunderstood. Did you read the full article in the link?🙄 😃
Dr. Dodd is not associated. He was in the same conference to give a presentation about his own product which is different from this and works by a completely different mechanism. [Scentuelle Intimacy and Sexual Health Resources](http://www.scentuellepatch.com/)

From the article
“Dodd’s aphrodisiac, registered under patent number 2386555, is an aroma that should be inhaled repeatedly over a 24-hour period, if possible. Its molecular structure is similar to that of dopamine, the messenger substance that controls sexual desire.”

PT-141 is being produced by Palatin technologies. [pt141.com](http://www.pt141.com/)
“They insist that their aphrodisiac spray is no party drug, that it’s by no means meant for pure enjoyment, and that it should only be administered as part of a carefully designed program of psychotherapy.”

From the article,
“George Dodd has listened to the presentation, quietly and attentively. At the end he applauds politely, sets his cup down and walks out. He seems a bit dejected.”

Hi!
I found this forum while doing a search for Dr Dodd information (which paid off when I saw Bronzie write “…his old xcite wipes worked like a charm…” - now got to get me some). 🙂

The article mentioned at the top was one I first saw linked to in the Bremelanotide Bulletin, and I have been reading everything I can find about Bremelanotide ever since… have to do SOMETHING with my time while waiting for its release sometime in the next two years! LOL

And just in case anyone else in interested in what stage Bremelanotide is at in its trials… they’ve just finished tests with men (diabetic and nondiabetic) that determined the optimum dosage, along with other information. And they have also just finished enrolling women (pre and post menopausal) in a similar phase for that demographic’s trials.

IMO, so far so good. The primary side effect I have heard of is nausea in a small percentage of the group - but my impression is that its more or less proportional to the dose. And from looking at the charts the maximum dose tested on men was not as effective as a lower dose anyway, so the small chance of experiencing nausea is something I can live with (as long as I am in the vast majority of people who do NOT experience that side effect. lol)

There was a good article and video report done about Bremelanotide by ABC News, which is linked to in the [December post of the Bremelanotide Bulletin](http://www.bremolanotide.com/bremelanotide-bulletin/2006/06/palatin-technologies-release-phase-iib.php) (along with those latest test results on men, and a couple other sections), and it was interesting to see what the people involved had to say. The only downside of the report is there is some women doctor (psychiatrist or psychologist, I think) trying to prevent Bremelanotide from being approved by the FDA! ☹

Well.. now I’m off to find some of that Dr Dodd’s Xcite wipes! LOL

Bye!

I came here to start a thread on this topic but since it has already been done, I figured I would just reply to this 3 year old thread instead.

Has anyone tried using bremelanotide in an oil or wax base as a [pheromone](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/)/aphrodisiac to effect others nearby? I understand that it is unstable at room temp. It would probably work best applied to clothing or jewelry - possibly in a wax base applied to a braided chord as a part of custom / costume jewelry. Encouraging others to inhale an aphrodisiac drug seems like it is crossing some kind of a line, but I have my eye on a certain stripper-friend and I’ve become quite familiar with research chemicals lately…

Well, allrighty then. No response after a solid two week wait. Looks like that’s a “no”. The powder I have access to is soluble in water or %1 acetic acid and is intended for use in an inhalation spray. Exposing it to or combining it with an alcohol based cologne might not be a good idea. I can use watered down vinegar to make a 1% AA solution but I’m not sure this can be combined with a [pheromone spray](https://a314.com/product-category/spray-pheromones/) so I think that applying a water based solution to clothing while applying the pheromone to nearby skin would be a solid combination.

Bremelanotide only is effective when dosed under the skin (subcutaneously injected - like insulin). Unfortunately I dont believe it would work
