I’m not sure I understand this correctly.
When I spray a pheromone on myself then I can directly smell it. But what I’m actually smelling is the cologne and not the [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/), right?
My question is basically: How long do the pheromones need to “work”?
Can you smell the stuff faster than it actually affects you because you can smell the cologne in an instant and the pheromones take longer to be transmitted through the air. Or do the pheromones also work instantly as soon as much can smell the spray?

What you can smell is the carrier perfume, this is necessary to ‘lift’ the pheromones off the skin and diffuse them through the air. In the unscented versions, you can smell the alcohol, in the scented ones, you can smell normally the neroli, ammo or game scents. Some pheromones do actually stink and can be detected by some people, the smell is not always pleasant, that is why you will see reference to ‘covering’ where you spray a perfume or cologne over the pheromones.

As to how long they take to work, the answer is how long is a piece of string. I tested TUTH on a female friend last night ( she knew what I was doing), within 5 minutes she felt physically aroused and had a very disturbed night’s sleep 😉. I have also seen reactions within 10 seconds, it depends on the pheromone, environment and susceptibility of the target.

Does this mean that even if you’re just walking by somebody he might be affected by the pheromones?

And how quickly do pheromones affect yourself when you spray them on?
Does this happen instantly?
I tested instant shine and sprayed it on some tissue and then smell it but I noticed nothing. I don’t understand why. 😕

First of all, there are way too many variables involved to be able to answer your question accurately. You have to take into consideration the temperature, humidity, size of the room you’re in, air currents, distance between you and people around you, their own sensitivity or lack thereof to pheros, etc, etc.

Could someone be affected by pheros just because you walked past them? Probably not, because the time spent in proximity would be minimal. But it is possible. Sometimes you’ll get a ‘deer in the headlights’ type of reaction when the pheros just temporarily stun someone. Most times that doesn’t happen.

You will leave a trail of scent and pheros behind you wherever you go. And you will accumulate a cloud of sorts around you if you remain in place.

How quickly one is affected by their own pheros once sprayed is too subjective to answer. What type of phero? How sensitive are you to it? What was the dosage? etc, etc. I am effected by [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) almost immediately, but with Spaceland some time goes by before I feel anything but annoyed at the smell. And we’re talking about equal number of sprays, same environment, etc.

The best way to notice effects of pheros is to try to forget you’re wearing them. Otherwise you will be so worried about it, concentrating on it that you’re likely to miss it.

“Instant” is just the brand name, No people will not instantly respond. Usually you need to be in there presence for a minute or two before they can inhale the molecules, process and pinpoint them. There are people who can do this rapidly but its rare.

Now lets cover diffusion and why we talk about it being so important. The scent that carries the mone molecules, when diffusive, will leave good sillage. This means it leaves a trail and as you walk by someone that vapor trail is left behind and leads right back to you. We have the natural ability to pinpoint where the signal comes from just like we do with our other senses. All this go’s on in the subconscious mind. For example when you see a light you know where its coming from most of the time or you hear a yell you can pinpoint who did it most of the time. Course once in a while you may have to look for the source of the signal but 99% of the time we find it. Its the same with mones.

So even just walking by someone with mones on, if the diffusion and sillage of the product are good, can cause a reaction with in a few minutes. It depends on how long it takes for them to track and process the signal.

Now there are other variable as well to consider. If your not congruent with the signals your sending this can cause confusion. So suppose you wearing IO but you have a mean look on your face and you look withdrawn. People are confused by the happy friendly signal being sent and the visual. Generally they wont respond when confused

As for the self effect, Yes most times you will be effected by the mones as well. This is part of the charm of them really. They tend to increase happiness confidence and feelings of comfort and well being for the users as well which also helps in socialization and attraction. So they work in two ways. However just like anything else we use all the time after a while we become used to them and don’t notice it as much. This doesnt happen as quickly with people exposed to you using it because they don’t inhale it the whole time your wearing it like you would be. Just because the feeling isnt new though dosnt mean the signal is not being sent or registered. Its sort of like drinking a coke for the first time. You taste it and say “holy shit thats good” and for a while you still have that excitement from drinking it. Then you get used to it. You still love it but it dosnt make you say wow as quickly. But if you dont have one for a few weeks that feeling comes back when you drink it again. This is why many members change up there mone signatures and dont wear the same mixes all the time. To keep that “wow” effect fresh.
