# Question about the A314 sprays

Hey folks. I was looking at the store and was considering the A314 sprays when something hit me. A couple of years back, we had the MX102-MX105 (somewhere in that range at least) A314-derived test packs. 102 and 103 became HUGELY popular, the former being one of my all-time favorites. So, I was wondering if the current [A314 spray](https://a314.com/product/a314-classic-spray/) products are the retail versions of those test packs.

I would imagine the mixes you refer to would be part of the ongoing development/refinement process for A314 but I would equally be surprised if they were the exact same formula - Which would have been tweaked in light of our findings to get the final version.

Would be interesting to know but that might be straying into commercially sensitive territory?

Well, we already know that MX’s can and sometimes are “release candidates” for commercial products. Given what the general consensus was on MX102 and MX103 in particular, I’d assume it was only a matter of giving it a name and calling it good. 😃 Those two were amazing!
