Do they have the same success rate as scented ones?

I’m going to assume yup. Mainly because the ones buying the unscented are extremely experienced and are using them with a whole other bunch of complex others things.

I have one unscented product. Not from androtics, but I used it a few times before discovering this oh so wonderful company 🙂 Its a pain in the ass to find something to cover that musky licorice cat urine smell.

Yes and no. LOL

Yes some users have success with them because we know how to use them in our own mixes. We mix them with something scented though.

No if you just put them on unscented. You need a scent to bind and carry the [pheromone](https://a314.com/shop/) molecule. If you dont use a good binding scent then you have to rely on your own BO.

Plus mones dont really smell all that great so when they say unscented it means no added carrier not no aroma at all.

Yeah, if you’re experienced and know which colognes are diffusive it shouldn’t be a problem. Just remember saying “[unscented pheromone](https://a314.com/product-category/stealth-unfragranced/)” is a bit like saying “unscented cologne” or “fragrance free sweat”. Pheromones and other human musks (synthetic/natural) _DO_ have a scent, and there’s _no_ way to get around that.

We’re just not all that thrilled when people order “unscented” here, since we’re a research operation, and it renders research useless. Adding your own cologne adds lots of additional variables that taint research. It makes the feedback much less useful (for you AND for us).

Research is all about _minimizing_ variables and accentuating constants, so you can more easily see results from the _actual thing_ you’re studying. It’s also about repeatability. You should be able to get the same result twice.

Added scents both enhance _and_ suppress the diffusion of certain pheromones, all in completely unpredictable ways. A certain mix used with 30 different colognes will produce 30 different results that aren’t repeatable. A mix used with the same cologne or diffusion package each time is _much_ easier to study, learn from, replicate, and grow from.

It’s another form of “staying on the same page”.

Basically in phero testing, 1 “known” cologne like Neroli = a constant. Many colognes (one guy wearing CK1 while testing, another wearing Le Male) = a variable. Not just 1 variable, but a loaded metropolis of untrackable **wildcards** , because each cologne contains tens and sometimes _hundreds_ of other chemicals. Some of which may have psychological effects themselves.

That said, there’s tooottallly nothing wrong with your own cologne. I _love_ unique colognes and perfumes. _Love_ 'em. I _collect_ them!

They’re just _ **completely counterproductive** _ for research purposes. We’ll _never_ know what’s in Blvgari Black or Acqua Di Gio, and even if we _did_, there’s far too many chemicals to really know what’s effecting what. It’s chemical spaghetti.

**Less is more in research. Literally 🙂**

im pretty sure in acqua di guido its just tomatoe sauce and assorted grinded pastas and dippity doo hair gel.

could be wrong but it would make sense.

and i think the special edition they liquidified a euro dance cd and stuck it in there.

Hey, do it if you want but then you won’t be part of the “Pheromone Detective Squad”. 😛

Actually, you can walk in both worlds. We don’t mind.

Just try things scented a few times and report once you get a hang of a molecule or mix that way.

Then, once you see what something does with a default scent package, feel free do whatever you want after that.

While need feedback using default scent packages, you don’t have to use it that way forever. We only have an issue when people never even try it the default way. They have no baseline. They’re not really testing what other people are when they do that. It’s far too out of parameters.

It’s like trying to run before you tried the more basic function of walking. You want to walk first, right? And after you can walk, running sure is great, isn’t it?

Not a precise fit metaphor for R&D appropriate testing vs. not, but I’m too tired to think of a more appropriate one right now. 🙂

Ah, OK. I don’t think I’d get something unscented without trying it the way it was first made by you guys anyways, just to be sure I’m reporting on it correctly, so this is good news 😃

No the metaphor still fits 🙂
Next order may have some unscented things in it then, to be sure. First I need to find a cologne that I really like and I think would work well with diffusion.
And take a dang nap already 😉
