I heard that using a layer of oil on the skin, between the skin and the sprays, helps slow down the diffusion. Is it also possible to produce a similar (or slower-diffusion) effect by outright mixing oil and spray, and then applying to the body? Or would it trap the molecules too much?

No. Mixing oil and sprays will completely screw-up diffusion.

Applying pheros under moisturiser is a tactic for very hot (i.e. sweltering) environments where diffusion/breakdown tends to be very much increased. Oils are much better in these environments.

Apply over a thin layer of good quality lotion for best effect - Let it settle in to you skin for a minute or two before applying the pheros. This works for sprays to an extent as well, although the time increase isn’t as much as with oils.

Thanks. Does it have to be a moisturizer? Can I use grapeseed oil instead?

I have no idea about grapeseed - I’ve only ever cooked steaks with it!

If its to barrier the skin beneath pheros, then its the lanolin in the lotion that’s important - it settles in the top layer of the skin and reduces phero absorption whilst slowing bacterial activity from the skin. Which helps maintain diffusion and slows breakdown but for applying over the pheros, a moisturiser without lanolin is better as you do need at least some to get through.

Lanolin on its own is too sticky, nothing gets-off!

I guess I’ll give it a shot myself. Thanks for the tips!
