Hey guys. I am doing some research on [pheromones](https://a314.com/) and I needed a list of claimed pheromone molecules.

Could anyone give me a list or send me to one?

i need this pretty fast (by tomorrow) if you guys could help i would appreciate it!

ok. well i am doing a proposal on the following

the effect of specific “potential pheremones” on social behavior and the body. what i need is a few “potential pheromones” so i can test them and see what their effects are and how they stimulate VNO and MOE neurons.

so basically i need a list of claimed pheromone names (chemical names such as androstadienone) so i can propose to test their effects on humans.

Some molecules that most people here agree stimulate obvious behavioral effects.

Androstenone
Androsterone
Androstadienone
Alpha Androstenol (also the beta isomer)

Hey researcher, what is your background on pheromones? Did you learn about pheromones from the internet?

There are many other candidates and potential candidates for pheromones. Check the list of Experimones and Putatives at the smartmones store, that’s how many have already been isolated and studied by Androtics although not in a university based research but more in the form of uncontrolled social experiment. They have been code-named to protect Androtics hardwork and investment.

Are you a M.S. or Ph.D. student?

University based researchers have isolated, last I heard, 212 individual mones.

Well i guess you can say i learned about pheromones from the internet but that would not be entirely accurate. Although i did find all of my sources online, they came from science journals (chemical sense, biology of reproduction, etc…)

I am an pre-med undergraduate student who is writing a research proposal for a research methods class required for a biology degree.

My proposal will be a branch of two different peer reviewed articles:

What is a pheromone? Mammalian pheromones reconsidered
Neuron Volume 46, 699-703

and

Male Axillary Extracts Contain Pheromones that Affect Pulsatile Secretion
of Luteinizing Hormone and Mood in Women Recipients
Biology of Reproduction 68, 2107-2113

Actually, the more i read about pheromones the more interested i become. I might purchase a bottle myself just to see how potent they really are.

Ok, good! Explore the “studies and abstracts” section of this forum which will give you links to other publications and possibly more information to include in your proposal.

Here is a list of some pheromones:

1. Androstenol (alpha and beta)
2. Androsterone (alpha being more common, beta version is also known as etiocholanolone)
3. Androstenone
4. Androstadienone
5. Estratetraenol
6. Androstadienol (alpha and beta)
7. Estradienol
8. Methoxyestratetraenone
9. Methoxy-androsterone
10. Androstanone
11. Tetrahydrocorticosterone
12. Tetrahydrodeoxycorticosterone
13. Estratetraenone
14. Epoxyestratrienol

As mentioned in an earlier post by Jim the list is endless, but I hope this gives you a starting point.

I have two domains that feature the latest Scientific Evidence on [human pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/) in chronological order. Though human studies indicate effects of certain chemicals on physiology and mood, no published study has shown an affect on behavior. If you are interested in showing an effect on the MOE (e.g., one that is manifest in hormone changes) and an affect on behavior, we can privately discuss suggested chemicals. There is no human VNO.

If you are trying to throw something together at the last minute, I won’t be of much help. However, a prior collaboration with a pre-med student and her professor went well.

I was personally featured in about 10 minutes of a Discovery Health show: “What’s in a Kiss.” I don’t know how many shows I’ve been mentioned in, but I’ve posted a video clip that featured my products to my scentoferos domain. The number of [human pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/) discovered cannot be validated unless they have already been shown to effect physiology and affect behavior–or the definition of pheromone has been changed, or the researchers aren’t naming the chemicals they tested. The video clip is completely unscientific, and makes product claims based on someone’s imagination–not any claim I’ve ever made. On the other hand, its an interesting marketing tool, since I had nothing to do with the clip–I didn’t even know about the show until after it had aired in the UK.

Jim, I know that you downplay marketing and anecdotal evidence especially, and understandably in a TV format, but really you should look at our experience with your, and other, products.

As a scientist I understand your primary focus, and I imagine that its difficult to look past scientific proof of physiological effectiveness.

I’m also aware of your crossover study into the sociological realm. I hope that you’ll continue to blend your scientific study with the broad aspects of real experience.

Just some thoughts.

Reports from experience with my products and some of the products designed by others attest to the likelihood of physiological effectiveness. But my award-winning publications in neuroscience and social science must be followed with published “proof of concept.” This proof is shocking to those who believe humans are unlike other mammals when it comes to the use of pheromones and olfaction. Extraordinary claims demand extraordinary proof and replication; more than has ever been required for others to state that humans are primarily visual creatures. Study design and results are denigrated, as is my mammalian model by reviewers who typically are unaware of recent findings from developmental psychobiology. I’ll spend the next few days trying to determine whether I want to submit a presentation abstract (or two) for the Society of Neuroscience annual meeting in November.
