Ok, so I’m gonna try and bounce some thoughts off the members here and see what happens. Nothing is meant to be ofensive and create any stir…I was just thinking of a few things and thought I’d put them out there and see if anyone had anything to add. Reasons You May Not Be Approachable: 1. You look like an unmade bed…as my mother would tell my sister. I suppose it applies to both sexes, minus the makeup for guys unless you are into the makeup thing.:o Look the best you can. 2. You smell bad…i.e your breath is terrible, you smell like a cigarette, you stopped at the bar on your way home from the gym, or any other reason you may literally stink. 3. You aren’t smiling or happy-looking. I mean seriously misery loves company but usually doesn’t get much from strangers cause who wants to be around a miserable person. 4. You have a bad reputation for being seen leaving at 2 AM (closing time) with too many different girls. If a girl is attracted to you and wanted to say things to you but didn’t and on a different night (and vice versa for the sexes) sees you again, she may not approach cause you gave her the manwhore vibe. 5. You are at a place where it is more of just a bar or whatever and not a spot where singles go to mingle and exchange numbers/ go home together/ whatever in that manner socially. (If the music is too loud, guess what you are more than likely gonna have a bit of trouble communicating unless you are doing that with your body on the dance floor.) Atmosphere can make all the difference in the world between girls giving IOIs to you and possibly approaching you. 6. Your shoes are dirty/ not shiny…Women love clean shoes. Shit they own so many pairs of 'em that you should know by now they prize the shoes…keep 'em clean. I have heard girls saying it (along with other things) can be a quick indicator of your hygiene. 7. A rather serious one is that you are too SLOSHED! DRUNK! BELLIGERENT! If you see some ladies you wanna talk to and have been drinking a while, put the drink down and grab a water…move elsewhere and drink it for 5 min and head back to look to talk with them. This brings me to another point…if you’ve been at the golf course or at the pool all afternoon and go out that night, do understand that the alcohol you drank earlier is still present…I have made the common mistake of thinking just because it’s a different time of day or the venue has changed drastically after I have had a shower, I should be fine to go like I would had I not done anything earlier that day…BIG NO NO! 8. Another one people don’t think of…Your friends are acting like idiots (too drunk, telling a solid 30 minute wrap of southpark lines, too loud/ too quiet/ non-assertive at all, etc.)…They are a reflection on you so think about it wisely…some are really not for taking out trying to get chicks on the fly…sorry but they just don’t work with the equation. So that’s my NOTs for the moment… Here’s the rasons FOR: 1. You look your best… you are decked out and clean. Your shoes and belt match…you aren’t wearing white socks with walnut shoes…Your hair looks like you took a bit of time with it…You don’t have fingernails, nosehairs, neck/back/chest/ear hairs that look like they needed to be trimmed a while back…you aren’t weaing a wrinkled ass shirt/ pants/jeans. These are things you can help with minimal effort. 2. You smell great…I mean we ALL know pheros really help with this department…In fact I am going to say the mix I’ve been killing things with is 203-292-C-80-YSL. This is an ubelievably approachable mix…There will be touching (kino) and conversation… However, just smell good. 3. You happen to be the guy she notices playing good music on the jukebox…This is a skill…I the girl you wanna talk to are 25-28 then play some music that may get them a bit reminiscent like Biz Markie or Eazy-E or Dr.Dre or whatever…If they are 21 then pick some stuff like TI or whatever the heck is new out today. Then again, if you’re in a venue that seems to like indy music and classic rock (two of favorites also) then have a repetoire…Maybe Long Cool Woman - The Holles…Jane - Jefferson Starship…and always have some triple Cs in your back pocket…The Cure, The Cult and the Clash. 4. You got the good vibes comin off your table…people see a charismatic/ magnetic vibe to you and you are in…It’s possible a girl may jst walk over to you and tell you that there was something she wanted to figure out about you even though she didn’t know what exactly it was. 5. They (girls) overhear a cool conversation that they want to be part of… They may just but in…Usually that doesn’t happen when you and your buddies are talking about thermodynamics and chaos theory…keep it topical and don’t be afraid to switch directions on the conversation… If you can talk and keep a conversation going, then you have damn near all it takes to get women…However, there is a fine line you have to walk between talking/ listening/ questioning/ answering/ suggesting/ your facial expressions/ agreeing/ disagreeing/ yada yada…but you gotta have that right and once you learn it you will never forget it. 6. You have a specific feture she likes…Smile, teeth, nose, hair, ears, arms, ass, body…who friggin knows… 7. Money…they can smell it a mile away…However, just like pheros, if you aren’t congruent with your cash…then it doesn’t matter…If you got a Rolex from your rich uncle and pimp it out, but don’t even have $5 cash in your wallet/ clip then the watch is wearing you. Women can smell that out really quick. That’s all I can think of to write at the moment… DON’T FORGET THIS BY ANY MEANS…ALWAYS TAKE A MOMENT TO CLEAN YOUR SPOT BEFORE HEADING OUT…YOU DON’T WANNA GET CAUGHT WITH A WRECKED CRIB WHEN YOU BRING A GIRL(OR TWO)HOME! I’m not sure if I agree on this point. Some of the great pickup artists have stated that girls are more likely to choose guys who are “preselected” by other women. Gals seem to be more attracted to a guy who walks into a club with 2 gals in each arm, as opposed to a dude who walks in alone and sits in the corner by himself. So, the manwhore vibe might not be such a bad thing after all. Otherwise, I totally agree with your other points. Thank you for making the pickup world a better place! ---

No doubt about it…I see your point. However, I am not the guy that sits in the corner…I find women wherever, as long as they’re out and fit my tastes. I guess one thing you should think about is that you don’t want too many women knowing where too many of your hang out spots are or it is possible they will track you down which isn’t good if you wanna be left alone or take other girls out…I know you can see how that would cause problems.
