Being a ginger, very fond of science and rather bored last night [or maybe it was the est spray i made] I for some reason started to think about all the “scientific” claims about redheads. Much of this is completely unfounded however some does have merit. I came across the following link [Redheads: Redhead Chemistry Is Unique and Different From All Other People](http://aufait.hubpages.com/hub/Redheads-unique-chemistry-compared-to-all-other-people) In it the author sites claims that redheads (unfortunately it appears that she is focusing in this section on only women) have a distinct "pheromone "scent unique to redheads. "Redheads Smell Better Erin La Rosa says redheads exude more pleasant [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/) and so they attract more mates because they are simply more sexually desirable. La Rosa says, ?Our pheromone effect and our delicious scent has been scientifically proven!? Stephen Douglas (wrote The Redhead Encyclopedia) writes that redhead skin has a natural sweet, musk-like scent. Douglas claims that the redhead scent changes with that person’s emotions. In the Erotic Review, Rowan Pelling says that redheads have a ?strong natural scent,? and also, ?redheads famously have a distinctive civet scent that drives admirers wild.? The scent of a civet (wild cat) is said to have aphrodisiacal qualities that is, and has been highly prized, for centuries. Some other men have described the redhead scent as ?amber and violets,? saying redheads have the strongest scent of any women. Needless to say, redheads are known for their fiery tempers and great passion in intimate matters. There is nothing like a redhead when it comes to certain things!" I have not had the chance to research this article yet and it may well be rubbish however it got me thinking about my beloved mones stash and wondering if perhaps redheads do respond differently to some pheromones. My bff is also a ginger but lives 12 h I urs away so testing on her is not likely! There is one other redhead I work with so I may be able to monitor if she seems to respond differently then my other female coworkers when I am wearing mones. So what do you all think complete hogwash or interesting? \<3 Mascara&mones ---

Hi Mascara and Mones, There may be something to it, who knows. Thanks for the link. Send on over anything else you find if you dont mind. I have 3 redheaded sisters that ruined it for me! 🙂 Earlier in my life (my 20’s and 30’s) I just couldnt date a redhead. It was a mental thing…“like kissing your sister..” kind of thing. I did think it was weird though, over the years all my buddies asking me to introduce them to my sisters. Strange to me…what did they see in them?? Then I sat next to a beautiful Red on a long plane ride who was flirting with me like crazy. We became “buds” by the end of the flight. Anyways, I was basically telling her what I said above, when she said, “Oh my poor boy…you have no idea what you are missing…we are so hot!” Her exact words. Remember it like it was yesterday. Funny, since then, I have had a whole new outlook on the Gingers! Freudian maybe?? Lol
