# Regular or Double Strength? A Noob Question

Hi,

I was wondering if regular strength is used more often or double strength.

I was also wondering when reading posts if 2x means 2 sprays of single strength or 1 spray of double strength.

Hey rainman, first things first, if you post your intro thread ( see the how do I get $25 gift certificate thread) then we will be better able to point you in the right direction. Plus you should get a nice discount that will allow you to get a couple of the to go bottles virtually free.

The strength of ammo depends entirely on your sweet spot. I’m mid 30s and can use 4 sprays quite happily, as a result I buy the double strength, don’t just take age as an indicator though, it is your own testing that shows how much you need.

2X can mean 2 sprays of single strength or one spray of double strength, depending on context and the user. It’s a bit confusing but you’ll work it out soon enough.

If you are looking at ammo, I would suggest using your Gift Certificate to buy a to go bottle, maybe some [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) to go with it and get testing!

Example: I have instant shine (2x) I use 2 sprays … this would be the same as 4 sprays of (1x) which is the default when you order. I agree you need to figure out your dosage (sweet spot) then increase the concentration if needed on your next order. Do the introduction and tell us about yourself and get a $25 dollar gift certificate.
