Fuckin’ Aye, I second you on hating doctors. But, y’know doctors only have about 1 hour of nutritional education, so it’s really Big Pharma that we should hate. Btw, I use Greens+ w/ Berries powder, and that shit is where it’s at. I also mix mine in one drink, although, it can get pretty hellacious at times. I use Animal Pak for a multivitamin. As far as a testosterone jack, I’m looking into ARLI’s three-pack in Jungle Warfare, BAM!, and Restore. But, I think instead of using Restore, I’m going to try X-factor. Do you have any experience with that stack or similar? And, for fiber, I use nothing short of Colonix. I haven’t tried anything else that comes close in comparison.

Okay… I’ve held off on this one quite long enough.

Thomas, I am a doctor, and to be frank, I could not care less if you hate me and other doctors.

YOU are overloading a body that is not yet out of its teens, and you are heading for serious organ shutdown if you do NOT address that in the next 10 years - perhaps less, given your daily intake.

In particular, your liver is in danger of failing, your kidneys are being hammered, and you are cross-purposing FAR too many supplements.

I do not care what you have read on whatever websites, I am telling you it like it is.

However, I am well aware that people who are so hell-bent on doing what they THINK is right for their bodies just ignore our advice.

What do I know after all? I’ve only been a doctor for 15 years, and running a Sports Medicine and General Fitness department of a specialist uni for the last almost 5, so I am sure you will think this is just scaremongering, but your body is NOT going to survive all that daily intake, unscathed.

You could cut that down to a nominal 5 (if you really want to take even THAT many) supplements or herbs a day, and you would NOT be in danger of shutdown.

Taking things that are good for your health is a fantastic and motivational act, taking too many things that are ultimately and ironically going to cause you major problems before you hit your 30’s - is the very opposite.

You are obsessional about this, which is a bad starting stand-point anyway, but you really need to stop putting so much strain on the body.

Height is to do wth genetics which can go back 4 or 5 generations before you see a patterning, and yes, certain supplements such as Omega-3, and 6 we ARE now calling “super-supplements” as they have great effects on the bone structure development, on the general well-being of the body and in fighting carcinogens - but you are totally ANNIHILATING the benefits, by piling on your body FAR TOO MUCH excess!

I’ve said my piece, and expect it to be ignored, but to hell with it. I have sat and cringed at how much strain you (and you are not the only one on this or several other forums) are putting your body under, for long enough.

If you want a concise list of the ONLY five supplements (as I said, you need no more than 3 to have great overall health) then just ask, but for crying out loud, stop reading these websites that want you to think everything you are putting in there is making your body into a temple, when the reality is, it is heading for being a ramshackle and crumbling old mansion - long before its time.

Take action now, before your poor liver says, “Please help me..” I can hear its plaintive cries starting up as I write this, and you are not yet even 20!

Ail

Go ahead and list them, I’d be interested aswell.

You’re right about one thing, if you do not cleanse your body, then you are heading for disaster. However, there are many ways to cleanse the body from parasites, toxins, colon debris, kidney stones, gallstones, and what have you.

There are two ways to look at this:

1. [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) works different with people’s chemistry
2. There are results and maybe they’re suttle and you don’t see them.

Try a personal experiment. Someone you are not too friendly with. See if their attitude changes any.
Also, try a situational experiment. Hang out with people, excuse yourself (go to restroom and spray). Come back and see any changes.

Do a little more research on the forums and see if there are any products that may be better suited for your intentions. Then PM Jasmin and she’ll walk you through what to do next.

Good Luck…practice makes perfect!

Five for life:

I am used to writing this type of thing from a very technical stand-point, but I have broken it down here just to brass tacks, to give you an idea of why these are the top 5.

I have additionally recommended supplements that are not vital, but definitely aid people over 40. These are very different for both genders, and are detailed as such below.

1. Folic Acid: Some of you may have thought it was just prescribed to pregnant women, but it is proven to speed up brain cell regeneration and prevent memory loss.

RDA:

Regardless of age, 200 mg per day to slow the effect of ageing on the brain. Good for everyone from age 15 upwards.

1. Omega-3: DHA (Docsahexaenoic Acid) is one of the most primarily-important fatty acids the body requires for peak performance and optimum health. DHA is especially important for occular and brain function. Some DHA is naturally produced by our own bodies, but the amount is minimal, and as many people nowadays do not eat either red meat or oily fish (trout herring, mackerel, salmon, sardines), an Omega-3 supplement should be taken every day.

Oily fish contain approx. 80 times more DHA than seeds, nuts and leafy greens. They are also THE richest source of EFAs (essential fatty acids) the body can consume. Vegans and vegetarians have the lowest resource level of DHA. Those on low-fat, high-carb diets are also very likely to be lacking in DHA.

RDA:

Children and teenagers up to 17: 10 mg per day (usually a one-a-day supplement)

Women breastfeeding or lactating: 200 mg per day (one taken twice per day generally)

Young adults (classed as being 18-30): 200 mg per day. (One taken twice per day generally).

Adults over 30 with no dietary intake containing DHA: 200 mg per day (one taken twice per day generally).

Adults over 30 who obtain a small amount of DHA from their dietary intake: 100 mg per day (One-a-day supplement).

1. Spirulina: Every few years a “superfood” for the body is hit upon, and some prove to be total fads, and some prove to be keepers. THIS is the latter.

Put bluntly, Spirulina is the most disgusting looking almost turquoise in colour pond Algae, but what it does for the body is mind-blowing;

Many of you may know that Vitamin A is essential for overall good body maintenance, but what a lot of people do NOT realise is that it is extremely easy to overdose the body’s intake of it, as it is found in many foodstuffs already. Spirulina in itself does not contain any Vitamin A. It does however contain Beta-carotene, which your own body metastasises and converts to Vitamin A, ONLY as it is required. This is fantastic, as it means your body is constantly working at regulating its own vitamin A production.

I cannot say enough great things about Spirulina, but I’ll try to break down the main benefits. Over and above those I will list though, there are many additional reasons to make Spirulina part of your daily intake.

A) It is 60 times richer in iron than any green vegetable.

B) It contains all eight essential amino acids.

C) It is ten times richer in calcium than milk.

D) It is chock-FULL of anti-oxidants - essential for the body to help fight off those nasty carcinogens from manifesting. In this respect, it is particularly effective for helping to prevent cancer of the colon, as it is a rich source of Chlorophyll (the green part of a plant/algae) which also aids digestion, additionally, it can help prevent gum disease.

E) It is chock-full of metabolic and digestive enzymes which help to detoxify your body NATURALLY, giving correct bowel movement, and keeping the body toxin-free.

F) It boosts people who have low immune systems, can aid in weight loss due to its action as an appetite suppressant, helps to regulate blood sugar levels, and can even reduce cholesterol levels significantly. It is a total all-rounder, and if you were never to take another supplement, Spirulina would still keep your body ticking over very nicely..

RDA:

Children and adults even over 30: If you buy in capsule form, take two capsules with FOOD three times per day. If you buy powder, sprinkle approx. 4 g on food or take it in a smoothie or your favourite fruit juice.

We recommend when we are teaching our students that they suggest to clients/patients to consume two servings of 2 g powder per day. People with low auto-immune systems, or those feeling they require a real general boost, CAN take up to 10 g of powder per day. I prefer the powder, as it generally has NO fillers, whereas, unless you are very careful, you can find certain companies will try to put fillers into their capsules.

The next two supplements are NOT essential to keep the body functioning and not failing, but if you want to cover ALL your bases, then these are the best options.

1. Sea Kelp: One many of you may have discounted but as it is very high in iodine, it is marvellous for helping you to keep your thyroid regulated. Rich in trace minerals and magnesium, it is especially effective for replacing those lost after strenuous workouts. it has numeous smaller benefits for the body as a whole, and in addition, definitely helps to prevent premature hair loss.

RDA:

Regardless of age: One tablet three times a day with food.

1. Chondroitin: Some of you may take Glucosamine, if so, add Chondroitin for the additional benefits it provides the body. Chondroitin Sulphate provides you with “building blocks.” Like a magnet, it attracts water to the joint area, thus acting as a nutritional transport system as well as a VERY effective shock-absorber. Chondroitin helps to inhibit the manifestation of enyzmes known to break down bone cartilage, but at the same time if stimulates producttion of collagen and elastin which are both essential structural components The Edge body naturally produces. if you like, you can look at Chondroitin as a form of cement which “glues” and fuses the joint fibres together. It is excellent for the prevention of Osteoporosis, and slows the progression of Osteoarthritis.

RDA:

Chondroitin intake is weight-based. Those under 190 lbs aould take 1500 mg per day. Those over 190 lbs should take 2000 mg per day. Chondroitin is a liquid supplement, which yu can easily measure prior to use. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE GLUCOSAMINE OR CHONDROITIN IF YOU HAVE BEEN PRESCRIBED THE BLOOD-THINNING MEDICATION, WARFARIN!!!

Additional supplements for men over 40:

Saw Palmetto: Simply put, it helps the systemic functions of a man over 40’s body, and inhibits manifestation of carcinogens responsible for the development of Prostate cancer. In addition, you should combine cooked tomato, and RAW broccoli, as these have been proven to help even when Prostate cancer has developed. Take one cup of cooked tomatoes combined with 3/4 cup of raw broccoli per day.

Also consider 100% pure pomegranate juice, pure pomegranate capsules (1000 mg per day) but NOT pomegranate concentrate, as you miss out on the main essential minerals if you take it in this way.

Women over 40: Angus Castus/Vitex (also sometimes known as Chasteberry):

Vitex is quite simply a woman’s wonderpill. Even women under 40 can take it to virtually eradicate PMS/T, but for women in periomenopause or post-menopause, Vitex stimulates prolactin production, essential in regulating hormal activity. It’s a fabulous tonic fr a woman and should be taken twice a day in the dosage of 800 mg per day. Try to find Vitex BERRY supplements, and not extract.

For those of you who can’t be bothered finicking about, don’t take over-the-counter so-called “Multi-vitamins” as they are generally very badly balanced. Instead opt for a scientifically-proven supplement such as the one by Grahams called Mega-Oil.

Mega-Oil contains Omega 3, 6 AND 9, and in addition to its overall health benefits, it is brilliat at givng general nutrition to the skin, keeping it healthy and supple. Its comprised of Soybean seed oil, Borage (also known as Starflower) oil, Flaxseed oil, safflower oil, Evening primrose oil, pumpkin seed oil, sunflower oil ad sesame seed oil. YOU can take it directly out of the bottle, or mix it into foods, fruit juices or smoothies.

RDA: Children up to 17: 1 ml per year of age (eg. a child of 6 takes 6 mls per day etc.)

Adults over 18: 1 tablespoon twice per day.

Please remember, none of these are a substitute for the recommended daily intake of 5 portions of fruit AND vegetables per day, and all of them will work best when combined with moderate exercise.

Try to get in at least two 45 minute sessions of cardio per week. Yes, that’s ALL. That is all the body requires to stay fit, providing you are also doing some form of resistance training and/or body and core conditioning such as Pilates, and Yoga. If you don’t do any core conditioning, try to aim to do four 40 minute sessions of medium-impact cardio per week.

I know this will be asked, so no, as a doctor and fitness professional, I am NOT advocating the use of Creatine and like-based products, even for those of you body-building. Stick with the above. If you want to know why, I would be taking up a hell of a lot of space here, so let’s just say that it does more harm than good in the LONGTERM, and that I am talking about longterm effects on brain activity..

If anybody needs any additional information, please let me know, and I wll be as much help as I can, but bear in mind I run a very busy department and am responsible for the welfare of over 1500 students between the ages of 19 and 47, in addition to teaching Year 1 and Year 3 students myself for 45% of my week, and apart from at weekends, I have little kicking-back time to myself, so if I don’t get to you right away, I’m not ignoring you, I simply don’t have time to type. Also for those of you outside of the UK, bear in mind the vast time differences.

Finally: Like everything in life, all of the above recommendations will only have a beneficial effect on the body, IF you take them as instructed, and IF you take them judiciously.

Good health to all.

Ail 🙂

Ail, I have many things to tell you.

My supplement program is designed with the best naturopathic doctor of the region if not the province or maybe Canada. She has 12 years of university as a doctor including a 4 year course on herbs and a 4 year course on naturopathy. Total: 20 years of advanced learnings. She has raised 2 boys and 2 girls, has mothered her children to a point of unbelievable health and beauty. She has cured thousands of cases of cancer with herbs such as graviola with a success rate of over 95%. She has had many thousands of patients. She really knows what she is doing. She is 60 and looks 30, a truely healthy, intellectual and beautiful woman. I respect her allot.

I ALWAYS consult 3 opinions and spend about 1 month reading before changing something in my life. Sometimes our way (my way) of thinking is clouded by our emotions and/or what we think is best for us. That is why I force myself to ask her and a few other montréal doctors’ opinions. Please do not give the impression to others that I am some MINDLESS freak that pops pills all day and will die young because of liver and heart failure.

This is my life’s passion and life’s work you are talking about here. Don’t ever try and imposes your opinions unless you have some concrete way of improving my life in a way. This sounds like that time I expressed my rage against my mother. I’m am a very emotionally balanced person in life, I love my life, feel great always, but in this life I do not appreciate my mother or doctors. Now, let me tell you again : I not some MINDLESS freak that pops pills all day and will die young because of liver and heart failure, I am not a mother hater, it just so happens that my mother/doctors were very problematic ones.

**Keep reading, here is the part you may like…**

Now that this is said. You may have been offended by my awfully insulting statement about doctors burning in hell. I do not believe that. Cruel memories bring back hostile expressions. Like a prisoner at a Nazi concentration camp that was lucky to survive. I neared death my whole childhood, I hope you can see why I don’t like doctors, don’t like pharmaceuticals drugging 7% of Americas children on Ritalin and I don’t like my mother. Now, you may be a great doctors (YOU ARE A GREAT DOCTOR) and help allot of people. I respect that. I, Thomas Lavoie, am truly sorry if I offended you.

Ail,

I need help for one thing though. Perhaps you can help me with this. I am currently not very happy that I had my wisdom teeth removed. I foolishly did it. I feel as if a part of me was removed and that’s not right in my book.

I have started to take ormus minerals in an attempt for my wisdom teeth to grow back. They are slowly coming back just like a nail grows back; my chipped tooth is also healing. Since you must often read many books and must refer to tons of doctor’s books. Could you please recommend a book where I can understand the mechanics of how the ormus state minerals are accessing the genetic blue print of my teeth stored in the 4th dimension, to make them grow back?

I have looked everywhere for a large book on this. The last book I had was at my naturopaths but when I went back, I couldn’t find it and my naturopath doesn’t speak English so she doesn’t know the books name.

I am taking all the following ormus minerals: ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, silver, osmium and iridium.
