You mean one of the old un-diluted EOW bottles where a gallon of water was required to cut it? lol I had EOW melt the top of my bottle. 😮 Had the “diluted” version, too.

This sounds like a great idea, but I’d suggest a different sampling method than just sampling vaginal secretions. First, what is of interest are the volatile compounds. If you inject vaginal secretions into a GC/MS you’ll get all kinds of non-volatile stuff that’s not contributing to the odor. Also, there could be important odors being produced elsewhere (labial sweat & oil glands, microbes in pubic hair, etc) that could be important.

I’d suggest enclosing a woman’s entire nethers in a bag (something that would look like plastic underpants) and doing dynamic headspace sampling using a air sampling pump that will pull the volatiles from the entire region through a scent trap containing an adsorbant, then the scent can be eluted with various solvents and analyzed with GC/MS. I do this with plants, but the same technique could be used on people.

OK who volunteers to wear the plastic under pants.

Any volunteers just step forward… Jasmin you may have to do it. 😃

I am sure this is a good method but picturing it is to funny.

Michael, not to be pushy or anything, I know creating a scent is a art form but the ladies are anxious for there mone products back and it cant happen without copulins . Anyway can you give us a time line on when you think this will be done ? The copulins I mean

If we have to make Jasmin get into the plastic underware its may take a long time 😃

I have a very important job for lust after me. The man I am about to marry (who doesn’t know it yet) is playing hard to get and Tisha gave me a mix to get him where I want him.

My lust after me is out and I need to know when it’s going to be back in stock again. I have been waiting a while but I can’t wait forever man. 😉

Maybe, Androtics (hint, hint) can give an estimated time frame so I don’t get too edgy and it will make the waiting a bit more bearable. 😉

It definitely sounds like scented panties are getting into a bundle around here. ROFL. I have three copulin formulae to present to the powers that be in the very near future. Then comes group testing (I believe), then comes batching up and finally incorporation into products.

I’m only on the creative end and not involved with production at all, so it would be totally wrong of me to make any conjectures about time frames. I can only tell you ladies (and gents) that progress is happening!

However, I’m delighted that you’re all of you excited about this!

Of course we are! Copulins are extremely important for generating sexual arousal in humans. And who doesn’t want to be causing sexual arousal in humans? lol

Micheal,
One question. Do these formulae contain any of the fatty acids found in the “real thing” or are they simply the “scent”?

I use a solvent for cleaning wings at work called Methyl-Propyl Ketone. It’s basically a degreaser and general-purpose cleaning solvent. It stinks like nothing you’ve ever smelled while it’s wet, but when it dries, something interesting happens. It smells like a dirty woman. I know that the body can and does produce ketones, especially when deprived of carbohydrates, so I’m guessing there’s a correlation there.

Not sure how well this helps the OP, but there ya go.

> Yours is no crazy idea at all. You think creatively and like a scientist. I agree that this may very well be the best way to obtain the most effective odorants. After all, when you want the genuine taste and effect of a fine beer, the ideal way to get it is to ferment barley malt with water, hops and brewer’s yeast.
>
> Designing the industrial process is the biggest stumbling block to this route.
>
> Anyone here versed in growing climate controlled cultures on a production scale? 😕

You need to isolate colonies. That means growing a mixed culture on a rich agar media, diluting the hell out of it with saline or growth media and smearing a small amount of the diluted mix onto rich agar media, incubating it at body temp, repeating to isolate pure colonies, isolating the bacteria that smell good, growing up and plating those, running identifying tests to find out what you have, growing the isolated strain/s in a vat/s and identifying what the odorants are. Human flora is so well categorized, you shouldn’t need to do gas spec analysis to find out what those compounds are once you know what the micro-flora is - just look it up. But if you want to identify these yourself, you just draw off however much of the growth media after sufficient incubation, centrifuge it, draw off the supernatant and extract the volatile acid compounds from the supernatant using ether.

Growing huge amounts of any pure strain of bacteria or yeast in large sealed vats is easy, and it is done all the time pharmaceutically. For example, insulin is commercially produced by this method using a genetically modified strain of bacteria.

The most predominant micro-flora types in a healthy woman’s vagina are different strains of Lactobacillus, primarily L. crispatus, L. fermentum, L. jensenii, L. iners, L. gasseri, L. pentosus, L. vaginalis, and L. acidophilus.

When a shift occurs towards less lactobacilli towards more yeast a woman is at risk for bacterial vaginosis involving all kinds of nasty bacteria and is also at risk for yeast infection from Candida albicans. Candida albicans is part of normal micro-flora of the vagina, but it is held tightly in check by the competition of lactobacillus, and the low pH that it produces in the vagina (\< 4.5).

The bacteria that are responsible for bacterial vaginosis are interlopers and are not part of the normal flora. The “fish” smell reported by some forum members is indicative of bacterial vaginosis. It is not a normal smell for a vagina.

You can get pure, live, dried strains of lactobacillus in almost any health food store if you want to go that route. These can be added directly to culture media and grown. I’d still do some control plates to be sure there are no contaminant bacteria and to ensure you have pure strains.

The volatile acids that Lactobacilli produce are:

acetic acid
butyric acid
isobutyric acid
formic acid
pyroglutamic acid
propionic acid
valeric acid
isovaleric acid
succinic acid
D- and L-lactic acid

Not all of these acids were found in the studies collecting vaginal secretions. And, _YES_, some of these acids are what flavors certain cheddar and other cheeses (and probably why EOW had a parmesan smell to it).

**Acid composition found in _non-contracteptive_-using "_producers"_ during ovulation:**

lactic acid - (55% D-isomer, 45% L-isomer; reported to be 10x the ascetic acid content)

acetic acid - _225.8 mcg/sample +/- 22.1_

propanoic acid - _65.3 mcg/sample +/- 19.2_

methyl-propanoic acid - _5.9 mcg/sample +/- 1.3_

butanoic acid - _27.1 mcg/sample +/- 7.6_

methylbutanoic acid - _153.3 mcg/sample +/-.5_

methylpentanoic acid - _2.1 mcg/sample +/- 1.6_

The pH of the samples taken was between 4.0 and 4.8, and lactic acid was the main buffer of this range. The volume of the sample size was not measured, since the collected secretions were eluted from a tampon device into methanol.

Lactic acid smells musky/mousy. Lactic acid is the predominant acid produced by Lactobacillus. And lactic acid is the main component of vaginal secretions that increases during ovulation, while ascetic acid is the one acid that is always found in some amount in a woman’s vagina.

In vaginal compositions of healthy women during ovulation, lactic acid is produced at 10x the amount of ascetic acid. Lactic acid proportions rise before ovulation, peak at ovulation, and decline after ovulation. Ascetic acid amounts stay constant.

In addition to the acids, vaginal secretions contained simple and complex carbohydrates, albumin, and ionic salts (very small amount).

I’ve been browsing thru this thread and i just want to post my feelings on this interesting subject. the scent of a woman is what attracts us in the first place. it’s like smelling a baby. they all smell different, but they all smell good in one way or another. there are certain scents that are ok to me, and their are certain scents that bring out the animal in me.i mean if i could superglue myself to a certain oder that drives me wild, then i would be in heaven and it would not matter who the ,president was or anything else, as long as i could stay here…FOREVER
