> I read a thread on here about someone wanting to know what was in pherlure..the answer to that question is dehydroepiandrosterone…now from my understanding its something that came from androsterone..i read about these pheromones on web md..what it does or how its different from androsterone, i dont know. The bottle mentions no other pheromones but that long one mentioned above..as far as the smell…it reminded me of Cool Water by Davidoff..(or how ever its spelled). Unfortunatly the smell lasts for about hour an then you dont smell it anymore..my girl didnt act any differently, that was with one spray.so i decided to try three..she seemed alittle more “affectionate” than usual 😃 , but then again she said she was happy to see me when I asked what was up..result of pherlure…i dont know..then in Walgreens some chick stood practically right beside me and stared at shaving cream for about 10 min 😕 .. result of pherlure.. i dont know..well thats pretty much it ill post more results as i get them..

Hi, Hapar.

They used to say didehydroepiandrosterone (not dehydroepiandrosterone, which is just DHEA). There’s no such thing as didehydroepiandrosterone. According to Martha McClintock’s (a famous pheromone researcher in Illinois) assistant, their study does not exist. It was apparently made up and posted to a _student’s_ account at the wrong Illinois university for awhile, so they could have magazine articles written about it. The sham study has since been taken down.

Their charts and some of their text is taken from the APC (Androstenone Pheromone Concentrate) website, which supposedly some of their text from another pheromone seller. Other bits are of their text are plagiarized from elsewhere. Their bottle is not labeled to the FDA cosmetic’s handbook. The primary constituent is ethanol, and it is not listed anywhere on the label. To any manufacturer, this is a sham.

The positive is that some people over time have reported different pheromone like smells from Pherlure. A very old review said it smelled like body odor, so they might use something in some batches. It doesn’t get all bad reviews. All that is known for sure is that they don’t use what they do (a non-existant molecule), nor is it validated in any manner as they claim.

I’m sure they don’t mind facts being posted, as bad publicity can drive sales for some companies. It made Paris Hilton a star.

> by the way what pheromones are in Instant Shine and Turn Up The Heat?

Turn Up The Heat’s primary pheromone is androstenone. It has included 9 others, since v1.1 was released. It also uses essential oils which have been considered erotic over the years.

[Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) is completely proprietary.
