If your moving around and leaving good sillage you can effect a person clear across the room. If your sitting in one spot it will reach 5 to 8 feet away. It could smell like crap and as long as the molecule is present it will trigger the reaction. They are diffused off the body and inhaled into the nasal passage and then enter the brain where they connect with certain neurotransmitters. These transmitters start to fire sending feelings and emotions to other parts of the brain. These emotions and feelings are what the person is responding to and because the signal is coming from you they associate it to you.
