Just picked up this forum while searching for online info on [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/). My experience with pheromones?–Well, I have no experience whatsoever (that I know of) with the bottled varieties, but only with the bodily. After having undergone prescription drug treatment for depression and then bi-polar disorder–not a new thing in my life but a life-long “disorder”–I have never been and still am not satisfied with the “answers” these drugs provide. Yes, they have assisted me greatly in attaining the detachment from my own emotions needed to analyze and asess them accurately, but even when the prescribed recipe “works” to some degree, no one, not even my psychologist, is able to provide me with accurate information as what PRECISELY is going on in my body chemically. So, I have set out to find these answers for myself. I have heard of pheromones for many years, but never done any extensive research on the subject. What prompted my search now for more information is just that I have noted, over a period of many years, how naturally occuring pheromones seem to correlate with and even to some degree influence or induce my moods. If they can be called “moods.” And I don’t mean just “how I feel that day.” Rather, I mean these huge swings, from deepest-darkest-doom to hypomania and beyond, intermittent phases lasting weeks or even months and marked by a whole set of indicators. In my manic phases, for example, I have a tendency toward “nymphomania”–and although some out there might be applauding at the thought of it, believe me, don’t clap until you’ve lived it. Genuine nymphomania is not something you want, or at least not anyone in their right mind would ever want, to experience. It is, for one, marked by debilitated judgment, as well as inability to quantify or even acknowledge danger. And there is nothing “fun” about going for days, or weeks on end, without sleeping or eating, because literally you can do nothing but think about sex. At any rate, I am wondering now, and beginning to investigate the possibility, if it might be possible to control my bi-polar disorder via the use of pheromones. If anyone has any solid comments–and by “solid” I mean genuinely serious and useful, not sassy or suggestive–comments or suggestions to make, any guidance you could offer would be enormously appreciated. Nice to meet yo all, by the way!

Hiya Savvy, that has to be one of the most candid intro posts I’ve ever seen. I can’t speak to your question except to say that while pheromones do sometimes have self effects they tend to wear off quickly and one quickly develops a tolerance. I like the confidence boosting effects of one of the men’s peoducts and I have found that for it to affect me I have to be very conservative in my use of it. There have been some reports from people about self treating mild depression. I would suggest that you do a search on the word “depression” and be sure to check “return posts” instead of “return threads”. also “self medicate” and variations there on.
Best of luck to you and welcome to the forum! There should be some more experienced users along pretty soon, maybe they’ll have more specific answers for you. 🙂

Hi Savvy,

I second everything Renny said and you have my sympathies for what you’re going through. There are pheromones here that have uplifting effects, and some that can quiet your mind, but I don’t know if they will temper the wild extremes that you are going through. And like Renny said, the self-effects tend to wear off after you’ve worn the pheromones for a few weeks. Since you are seeking pheromones for help with a very serious medical condition, I would highly, highly recommend you go right to the source and speak to Jasmine (our board moderator and mentor of all things phero) on the phone and get her input. Not only does she have inside info on exactly what the pheromones do, you will probably need to get her permission to order some of the molecules that might help you. TAK, for example, is one molecule that has known calming effects, but typically you need to get pheromone experience before you can order it.

Best of luck, and I hope you can find a solution to your problem.

Welcome. Pheromones do inhibit self effects but overtime with repeated exposure you need higher concentrations. The self medicating aspects are at most temporary treatment. This is only my honest opinion right or wrong.

[Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) is a product that can keep you happy and perky, but again keep in mind with repeated and constant exposure it becomes less and less effective.

Hi savvylove, welcome to the forum. I am also going to agree with what Renny and Elevation said. While I think it may be possible to mildy affect the mood swings associated with bi-polar disorder, I do not think that it’s an adaquate treatment, nor do I think that you will be able to benefit long term therough the use of pheromones, but not being a physician, I obviously am not qualified to make a true and accurate prognosis.

I am sure that having lived with the disorder for some time, you have sought pretty much every treatment and option available, but I might suggest looking more toward homeopathic or dietary remedies. As I’ve read where simple changes in diet have had remarkable results on people suffering from various maladies.

None of us want to discourage you from using pheromones to improve your life, but I think the vast majority of us want to make sure that you don’t abandon other treatments, and are not left with unrealistic impressions of what pheromones can and cannot accomplish.

There are physicians, scientists and a noted author or two here in the forum, who would probably be able to help you further than the majority of us, but as this is really a great group of people, we did want to at least stop by to welcome you, and offer our thoughts.

I might suggest posting a thread in the Lounge or Studies and Abstracts forum.

Again, welcome to the forum. I’m sorry none of us are able to offer you a lot of promise as to pheromone use being of much value to ease your suffering, but we value having you as a member here. As Renny suggested give Jasmin a call and see if she may have advice on something that could be of help to you.

Savvy-

I do not seriously think that pheromones will be able to help you control your depression or bi-polar disorder. That can only be done through your physician with the proper medication.

I have been using pheromones for a while. I have several extended family members with both conditions. I have a female cousin who experiences the same sexual urges you do when she decides to go off of her medications and has a child as a result. A very lovely child. But a child she was not really ready for. I am also tied into the medical community through my family. All of this experience (years of it) produces the above advice. Not too say you can’t have fun with pheromones like the rest of us. But I would not rely on them to control your disorders.

So please, continue to work with your physician for your disorders. I know you are not completely satisfied with the effects of your medications. Neither are the members of my family who have to take them. But they are the best answer right now, and they come out with better medications from time to time. I am giving you the same advice I give family I care deeply for.

Hello Savvy Welcome to the forum 🙂

I really wish I could tell you that mones will help with your bi-polar disorder and with your tendency towards nymphomania but I cant. In my opinion there is more of a chance of it making it worse then better.

Some products do have self effects but you become accustomed to them. Also you can experience a come down effect from some which if your already suffering from depression could worsen it or send you into a swing.
While this is rare for most people you may be more susceptible to coming down off mones.

Certain products are also arousing to the wearer as well as people exposed to it and I am not sure what this would mean for someone with a tendency towards nymphomania.

I think trying them would be a risk for you and only you can decide if your willing to take that risk. If you do, stick with things like [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) (TAA) or friendly mixes like IO (anol). Stay away from anything with anone in it or copulins.

Mones and depression really is just not something that has been explored much. You are always welcome here whether you decide to try it or not.

You have my best wishes. 😉

Tisha

That was a fabulous intro, and I am so glad we have another _girl_! There are too many damn men on this forum. 🙂

I also agree with the majority in that pheromones will not work as your primary treatment, however they may aid you as a supplement to whatever that primary treatment is. As Tisha said, the ingredients TAA (Test Molecule A) and Alpha -nol, which are the primary elements of Instant Shine and [Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/) respectively, are the “happier” of the pheromones and would likely be good options for you.

I also agree that you should stay away from copulins and the ingredient called -none, as they tend to dramatically increase sexual urges (especially -none for women, whereas cops are usually used to have this effect on men–but they can make women aroused as well so I would be wary).

Also, because you happen to be female, there is a product called IFM with the primary ingredient A1, a molecule that has a calming effect on women. I suffer moderate to severe depression and have found it to be helpful, but it is not the same as taking an antidepressant and you must _never_ rely on it. The other odd thing about A1 is that it tends to have the opposite effect on men, and causes depression for many of them–therefore, be careful wearing this one around men, especially those with a tendency toward depression.

Jasmin, our resident PheroGoddess and the pilot of this forum, has also suggested the use of TAL (Test Molecule L) for depressive qualities in women…however, buying it straight is a privilege usually reserved for advanced users and the consumer product in which it is the primary ingredient (ISexi A) contains a smidge of cops, so I’d check with Jas first.

Speaking of advanced products, if and when you become a more advanced user (adequate testing and reporting of the “Instant” line is required first), EST may also be helpful. It’s a pheromone often found in the urine of pregnant women and it has a calming effect on everybody (everybody who is sensitive to pheros, anyway–not everyone is).

Ultimately, the best advice given so far in this thread has been to call Jasmin…except she’s not currently taking phone calls as far as I know, so if you call Androtics you will get another employee, SteveO. I would call him, PM Jasmin, and see what you can do with their combined knowledge.

Good luck, and welcome! 🙂

Well, can’t blame them though…this probably due to the women are too busy “testing” the pheromones outside the forum!😃

Hello there and welcome.

I certainly wouldn’t want to be in your shoes, but girl it sounds to me as if you are stepping in the right direction. Sometimes just drinking lots of water can put our bodies back in check.

I’m no doctor, so I would never recommend you stop anything brashly but I think LaurieNY offers some OK advice to you. If you were to “pinky swear” that you would post your results here on the forum, I can see what I could do about getting some advanced products for you.

To help you along your way I am issuing your gift certificate now.

Welcome.
