Hi to everybody in the PheroTalk community. I’m looking for advice for a specific situation and I’ve been impressed with the amount of information on a wide variety topics that the users and administrators are providing. In fact, I’m more of a do-it-yourselfer and would have continued on my own if not for the generous gift certicate offer, so here goes:

I’m a married male in the Philadelphia suburbs and I’m in my mid-fifties. I’m an introvert by nature but I’m reasonably self-assured. I’m fairly analytical and rational in my approach to just about everything. I’m also pretty easy-going and I’m good at problem solving, and that has led me here via a web search. Physically I’m fairly average in all categories, although I was told in my earlier years that I was ‘ruggedly handsome’ (I’ll assume that was a compliment).

My wife (in the same age range) and I are both on our second marriages. We have a lot of trust and respect for each other and don’t have any problems communicating. However, she is post-menopausal and some of the passion has vanished from our marriage. We are each others best friends and we truly appreciate each other but I’d like to spice things up a little more than they have been for the past couple of years.

As I’ve already stated, I’m a very relaxed individual but my wife is a high strung, Type A personality and takes on the alpha persona (I don’t have a problem with that, but that does not mean that I’m a milquetoast). She is very easily stressed out by her job and her children that don’t live with us. To ease her daily stress level, she spends a lot of time knitting (which I like) and on Facebook (which I detest because it takes away a lot of her time with me).

So what do I know about pheromones? Not much, but I’ve been trying to find out. I have come to the conclusion that there is a scientific basis for them and that they are more of an enhancement type of thing. I also think that they are more or less a hit or miss type of propostion, but from what I’ve seen on the forum there seems to be more hits than misses here. I’m also a bit intrigued by the personal testing that needs to be done in order to give them a fair shake.

Anyway, I’m looking for a twofold solution; to lessen my wife’s stress/anxiety and to make me a bit more desireable to her. After looking through the Androtics’ product line and reading some relevant forum posts, I’m thinking that [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) in conjunction with Ammunition or Turn Up The Heat may be worth a try.

I look forward to any advice that you guys and gals may have.

Thanks,
John

Welcome to the forums! You are definitely on the right trail. With your gift card definitely give a togo bottle of is and either ammo or tuth. Once youve gotten your [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/) make sure to check the thread about finding your sweet spot. This will walk you through the process of finding the optimal amount of sprays to apply to get the best results possible. Good Luck and have fun experimenting. If you have any other questions feel free to ask

You already have a marriage that’s based on trust and respect. The best thing I can tell you is since you’re older, typically your Androstenone output (Ingredients in both TUTH and AMMO, also in IJ) lower as you age. For me personally (don’t want to make you feel old) I’m half your age and I use 2-3 sprays of normal ammo, so for that you might like AMMO 2x. As for TUTH, it’s highly directed in that manner so I would stay witht he single strength and go up in dosage as you find your sweet spot.

Lessening stress and anxiety in women also would fall under the [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) category but not as much as Androstadienone would. Love Scent sells this and you can add it on to Perfumers Alcohol they make here at AD. MEO-EST also has these reported results but I would go witht he basic products first befor eyou venture off, there are plenty of guides here once you feel that you are ready, and also for users like you who really want to make augments in their lives through pheromones, we’re all more than happy to help.

Like gigs said IS is great and so would TUTH and AMMO

I would lean on AMMO + IShine as a lead in

and TUTH when things go where they need to go.

Good luck and welcome to the forums.

Welcome to Pherotalk jellyfish!,

P51Mustang was spot on. 🙂

The only thing I can add is this story about **Turn Up The Heat** :

One member said that before she knew about pheromones her husband was using them on her. During this time, one day he came home and kissed her ( **with turn up the heat on** ). She said that **immediately her temperature down below skyrocketed**. This had never happened to her before so she asked him if he was doing anything new and he told her about pheromones.

And this link about guys using pheromones to improve their marriages:

Hope to Hear about your pheromone adventures soon

Thanks for the replies guys. First, to P51: no…reading and understanding this stuff from you young guns does not make me feel old. It’s the same thing as when I’m out on the golf course with my nephew and he outhits me all day. It’s still a fun activity and besides, I can putt better than him. And second to Clint, thanks for the married guy link. I had seen that earlier and it’s a source of motivation.

Overall, I’m still a little undecided between AMMO and TUTH (and even IJ), but at the moment I’m favoring AMMO along with the [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/). Now here’s where I’m a little perplexed. I understand that I need to increase androstenone levels for the desired effect, but since I’m basically a value shopper there is a decent price difference between AMMO and TUTH. I see that AMMO has 3 different pheromones. What do the other 2 do?

Welcome to Pherotalk Jellyfish!

Personally, I don’t believe that pheromones will automatically fix any relationship. I believe that there are two things a marriage needs to survive, make that three.

God, communication and compromise.

You being here shows that you want to work on your relationship and make things better. We have quite a few married couples who has been through similar struggles and can assist, along with pheromone usage is a step towards working things out.

So, I don’t feel that pheromones can assist in working out things in your marriage but Love is effort and your effort and desire to work things out will lead you far and I have hope that things will turn out for the better.

Your gc was issued. 😃
