Hi, I recently used Scent of Eros for the second time today and I used the same packet I did yesterday. I noticed that the smell of the product had changed from a pleasant musky smell to a harsh body odor smell and I used about the same amount as yesterday. So, my question is, has anyone else noticed if its smell changes when opened and exposed to the air for a while? Thanks in advance, Dominick ---

It’s been a long while since I used SOE out of a gel packet (as opposed to a bottle) but to be honest I really can’t recall noting a dramatic smell change. But if you want some application advice, I have noted that SOE only seems to work well for me when I use a good deal of it. And since those gel packets are so small these days I probably wouldn’t divide up the packet, try using the whole thing and see how that works ya. ---

I use SOE almost daily, but mainly the unscented roll-on. Don’t care much for the gel-packs as the scent is too heavy and clashes with my cologne. ---

I like gel packs a lot and find they give me great results. My skin absorbs them well so the smell isn’t too much after a few minutes. I usually use a whole packet of the scent of eros. I can’t seem to find the right dosage with the roller bottle, I think I’m going to empty it into a dropper-bottle and see if that helps. I hear a normal application is \ about 12 inches, but it doesn’t work for me. ---

With oil carriers you need a higher dose due to the slow diffusion. With SOE, I typically use two 10 or 12 inches stripes down my forearms or 4 or 5 shorter stripes on back of hands, neck, etc. I also use TAA oil and I have to use a heck of a lot of it to match a single TAA spray. However I’ve found oil carriers last about twice as long as alcohol sprays so they’re ideal for low dose situations like work. ---

Another inquiry for everyone, when people sweat it breaks down and the smell of body odor is created, so does that mean that once the [pheromone products](https://a314.com/shop/) break down there should be a similar result? ---

A1 and androstenol, when subjected to skin bacteria eventually breakdown to androstenone. How long this takes depends on many factors including humidity, amount and type of sweat, amount of body hair, temperature, etc. I read in one of JVK’s articles androstenol can become androstenone in as little as 20 minutes under optimal conditions. Under normal indoor conditions this would not happen for many hours, perhaps even days if you’re a non-sweating hairless vegetarian! To get an idea of how fast this can happen, spray experimone or chemset mones to your armpits on a hot day and run around for a few hours. Damn rank funky hell smell. Androstenone straight to the pits is the worse of all… ---

I don’t sweat much but I’d have to say I have zero chest sweat and maybe a little back of the neck sweat on a hot day. You gotta do what works for you. We’re all different. ---

i have the same problem, smell suddenly changed to bad bo… any suggestions , would applying to clothing be better ? ---

Applying to clothing can be very hit or miss, depending on material and you will inevitably need far more of the product. Have you tried applying over lotion instead? I find that works very well with oils and slows breakdown considerably.
