Its funny but has anyone noticed a pattern among the women’s journals. They all pretty much end with a last report on 9/27. What happened? I actually had to go and check my subscriptions to see if they are working on this side of the grass 🙂

School started (for me) 26.Sept.
Boo left.
Other people went quiet, so it doesn’t jog my mind quite as much to start discussions.
I’ve been gearing up to re-order IS/b – I was just thinking about posting today:

I **adore** IS/b. MX 397 is nice, but it isn’t a little ‘naughty’ as well. MX 398 doesn’t seem any different than my usual IS & IH, really. 411 isn’t much different, but smells a little less pleasant. I’d forgotten whether 412 or 411 was the gross on (to me) and accidentally reapplied 412. I had to shower in witch hazel even though it made me late! ☹ I wonder if it _would_ work to repel bugs? 😛

Also, I like the smell of IH less than IS; it’s a subtle difference, but I notice it.

And, Astrea went quiet for technical reasons. Many of the “long-term” guys seem quieter, too. I rarely get “updates” so I forget to check.

My recent reticence.

To be honest, I’m off-put by the number of people on this site that think it’s ‘okay’ to ‘to for someone’ who is ‘in a relationship,’ when I’m certain they would not be ‘okay’ if someone ‘went’ for _their_ significant other.

Everyone is someone’s friend, daughter, sister, brother, son, and will likely be someone’s parent someday. I say, treat strangers as you wish your loved ones to be treated. Stop the vicious cycle, even if it’s only your lone shoulder against the great millwheel grinding against us, others will see and join you. Eventually the effort will snowball, or you will realize you just don’t need to be in _that_ race. Either way you will be _truly_ happier at being yourself and being honest with yourself, and fighting for that in which you believe.

Generalizing in a broad range of situations can’t always be categorized in one simple moral standard. There are times when things happen when they are beyond your control. I for one try and avoid that but it’s happened to me, I’m not the type to say hey I’m going to go after this no matter what, and for the most part I’ve done that. For me personally, until it happened to me, I thought I would never have done that.

You live one life, (strictly relationship speaking) and someone comes into it and you have that spark and connection that you haven’t seen in a long time, and tell me that you wouldn’t want to do that. I do respect your opinions and I’m neither trying to change them or argue with you. What you’re saying is valid but there is always to each their own. Me personally, in this specific situation, I would rather have looked at my mirror and look down on my self rather than later and ask myself why I didn’t take that chance to be happy.

People will go after your significant other when you’re in a relationship, there is no stopping that. Should people stop and respect that? Yes they should. But not all relationships are black and white, not all relationships are perfect, and not all relationships is easy to get out of. But if you do things in life that will add value to yours and theirs, then how wrong could it be? When you run that gamut of love/relationships, the grey area is pretty wide.

I guess I should have added, if s/he will leave their SO for you, s/he can do it for the next person. Want to explore something new? Fine, but close out your old relationship first–that person deserves that respect. I wouldn’t date anyone still even ‘hung up’ on their ex – that’s just heartache lying in wait, for _me_.

As Mustang said, it’s not black&white. When I met my last long-term girlfriend, she was in the relationship. I didn’t know that (I didn’t ask, either). I fell in love with her. She fell in love with me. She told me about that guy. I stepped back and let her do the thinking. It took a few weeks, but she decided to leave the other guy and be with me. Long time after that, she told me the whole story, how unhappy she had been in that relationship and how almost impossible it was to get out of it; I won’t go into details here, but some things she told me were pretty ugly. Few years later, and I’m not with her anymore, but for those few years we’ve been really happy. She decided to do things with her life that she’d never do with a man like that previous one.
There will always be people going after our loved ones. I believe that if everything is right, healthy and looked after in a relationship, we don’t need to worry that someone random will just come over and steal our partner.

I never implied it was black and white. I was speaking of the broad mentality that’s often presented in individuals’ self-described accounts that “All’s fair in love and war.” However most of the PUA-mentality _aren’t_ in LOVE, just in the pursuit of ‘loving.’ 😛 (Self-described’ is key. I have no idea how much of it is self-aggrandized vs. what is put into ‘play.’ My dad told me “Boys lie; to themselves, to each other, and to the world–most of what they say is unadulterated bullshit.”)

The point is that you stepped back. It most likely sucked for you personally, but you still tried to give her space to figure it out for herself, giving your subsequent relationship (and your individual personalities) a stronger foundation. 😃

Undiagnosed migraines.

So that explains the fragrance sensitivities, as well as part of why I’ve been quiet as of late – this last one has fluctuated, but basically been around for 9 days. WHILE I’m trying to teach, attend classes, do homework, etc. FUN.

I’m back; and I’m with you on this statement. I’ve had that crap done to me and it’s an ugly feeling to know that a person didn’t care enough to respect the relationship. Not to mention knowingly hurting like that causes such nasty karma. I’m dead serious. I don’t care what the ‘qualifiers’ are; I don’t enable a cheater; or push the buttons to precipitate someone cheating on their significant one. It’s just not civilized. I always remember how I felt; and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.

More “life happening”

I’d quit testing with my last 2-week migraine. I’ve planned to start up again, and I’m starting my new physical therapy to help that.

Then two uncles died in a week. I’m not online much lately, but I’ll be back.

I can’t express anything. I don’t know how anymore. I skipped classes (for the course I’m auditing and haven’t taught either of my classes this week. I just want to _smack_ people for the inane things they do. (I could go into details if I could clarify things in my own head.) Then people would probably take offense and offer aggressive counterpoints that would make me feel even _worse._

I’ll sum it like this: Live your life to IMPROVE others’ lives and your own, not just to feel good for a few moments.
