# Self effects of Instant Shine: how long until you're immune, and does a break help?

Hey everyone,

I had a fairly simple question regarding the self effects of pheros and how long they last.

How long can you expect to use pheros, [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/), for example before you become immune to the self effects.

And once you are immune, can you take a break from that said phero and try it a few months down the road, and get the self effects back?

How long it takes before you ever stop feeling self-effects, if ever, really varies from individual to individual. No there is no real way to say it will be X number of weeks or months.

But if you do stop using that particular product for a while and then start back up you will probably get some self-effects if you did so when you first started using it.
