I am back on my Journey to discovery to figure this Damn mystery out. Don’t get me wrong I do fairly well with woman, but I always find myself asking the question what can I do better, dress, workout, appearance to get even better results. My goal is to figure out what makes a man “hot”. For example why makes woman fawn over Channing Tatum,Ryan Reynolds, Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, Brad Pitt, George Clooney.

The list I have comprised so far is well groomed, well proportioned features, body muscles, dress well, clean shave in most cases. What am I missing?
Input is greatly appreciated, especially Ladies.

What makes so Channing Tatum so Damn appealing?

Well visually he is not that appealing. However the boy was born with abundance of Charisma and in my opinion thats whats sets these men apart. The question is what exactly is charisma ?

The way I see it, its a confidence, a comfort with self, being genuine and authentic. It doesn’t matter how you look or how you dress, they radiate that self confidence and that comfort of self that makes everyone around them just radiate it back.

Now most people try to fake it by working on what is outside of themselves like there looks, fashion, material things but true charisma can only be developed from the inside and projected out and thats where people make there mistakes. You cant really fake it you have to become it.

I don’t think that charisma and being authentic is the same thing.
I have meet people who are completely at ease with themselves and don’t lose their frame in challenging situations but who still don’t project charisma.
Those people have done an amazing amount of work on their own emotional development. They don’t need to show others that they are charismatic they are just present. Eckhart Tolle would be an example.

People like Obama or Bill Clinton aren’t authentic but very charismatic.
At heart Obama believes in realpolitik but he still can read a story that his speechwriter wrote from a telepromter about the importance of restoring the rule of law that brings tears into some people’s eyes.

When it comes to attracting woman both qualities are helpful. If you are authentic a woman feels less resistance about being intimite with you.
Charisma on the other hand signals status and can create sexual tension.

For immature girls charisma is probably more important. For emotionally mature girls authenticity is more important.

I know a liberal who catched Obama’s inauthenticity in the debates before the 2008 election. She liked Obama before the debate but concluded that he’s inauthentic after watching it. Most people are not that good at reading bodylanguage. 99% can’t. They just see the charisma.

You’re forgetting that those guys are famous, I’m not saying they aren’t attractive to women. Fame and power are a couple of qualities that some women find attractive. For example the twilight dude, i know girls that think he’s hot. In my opinion the guy is avg/below average looks, and no charisma, but girls love him. I think out might be better to study the local ladies man, see what he does to make himself attractive.

Lmao. How did a thread about charisma/attraction morph into an Obama hate thread? Smh.

Jesus most people you mentioned in the list are actors… they are born with good looks, height, and work on their bods which are also usually above average even when they never used to work out when younger.

They are dressed in appropriate clothes, took lessons on modellign and how to walk, pose, etc, and are fed canned lines they have to recite on television in their movies which makes them say all the right things.

They are also celebrities .. Many people equally beautiful and handsome walking down the mall don’t have the same success. They may get more looks but that doesn’t mean they are all leading the life. Many are lonely and considered stuck up by the general public.

I invested in a $700 Canada Goose jacket a couple of week by , and although it is high status to wear them I felt lower status out of place, uncomfortable in my own clothes, and as if I was part of a cult that is wearing them. I returned it.

I think some people have to realize charisma etc comes from being who YOU want to be not what others want you to be.

Once you have a look YOU like you will automatically be more confident.

For me I had always been short (5’8") and had parents and sister tell me so throughout my teens. I always had a height complex. By the time I was older it stuck with me even though I had the perfect body built through bodybuilding.

When you feel insecure how can you be charismastic? You feel low or angry at the world. But most insecurity stems from beliefs from childhood.

These people who succeeded in hollywood most of them either had positive experiences when younger or had negative experiences but overcame them with adversity which made them succeed.

Think Danny Devito.. He was 5’1" but made it quite well as an actor. He was funny as hell.. How do you explain that?

Most men 5’1" in north america have probably considered suicide.

Hollywood represent extremes – your average actor or musician is will not be there..

Why should you have to explain it? Height has some effects but it isn’t the only thing that matters.

Being short doesn’t cause you to have a complex about it.

It’s not really. It just that politican’s are a good example for people who have charisma but no authenticity.

I didn’t pick Obama and Clinton because they are Democrat but because they both have a repuation of having a very high charisma. Obama for public speaking and Clinton for 1on1 interactions.

Bush has for example a reputation of being a bad public speaker. Romney doesn’t manage well to fake authenticity which makes him a bad example.

When it comes to dead people like Reagan I don’t know enough about him to use him as an example.
