understood that some of the super-premium experimental mixes might be impossible to market… how does the world feel about moderately higher concentrations, premium fragrances (please take the neroli concentrate out and place it in the incinerator!), and more complex formulations ?

Would you pay

1.5 x ]

2.0 x ]

2.5 x ]

3.0 x ]

per bottle ?

😕

The problem with “premium fragrances” is their value is subjective. Personally I dislike most colognes and premium brands don’t fare much better over cheaper ones. You like what you like.

I prefer unscented products so I can use my fav colognes as covers. I don’t like neroli too. Reminds me of sour fruit.

I think the products are expensive enough and am not going to buy something costing 2 or 3 times current prices.

I agree, everyone has their pesonal likes/dislikes in fragrances. However, personally I have no problem paying more for more complex mixes or higher concentrations. I really appreciate mixes that cause reactions on several different levels.

Now 3x more than what price? 3x more than the instant line? $100 - $150 would be something I would consider for something great.

I think they should work on just having basic stuff in stock, before getting into something more.

Just buy grapefruit and cover it if you need to.

I totally agree. I’d love to see unscented products so that I don’t have to go through the time and effort of mixing a higher phero concentrate with oil so that I can composite out the scent I don’t want. Then adding a cologne cover that I do want.

_agreed_
They need to work on being able to maintain their stocks before they go into any more experimental stages, there are already the putatives and the mixes… I think that is plenty for people to try out.

I do wish they offered unscented without charging an arm and a leg. Maybe make it available for reporting users at least if they are worried about the efficiency without the scent. I do get compliments on neroli though, so I don’t see the hate for it.

I only choose scents I like and enjoy and, while a compliment is nice, I’d never wear a scent simply because other people like it. Ultimately I stylize for my enjoyment–not for others–and that applies to clothing, hair, scent, cars, housing, jewelry, etc. I have to like it first and surrounding myself with something I like makes me feel good. And when you feel good other people notice and send good thoughts and intentions your way.

I think having neroli as an option is fine. I don’t hate it. I just don’t wanna wear it! I agree with you insomuch as paying extra not to have scent is unfair.

I totally agree with the “need to maintain stock”. Currently they are out of stock of a few products that I would want to buy… just wondering if I should wait to buy the other in stock items till they stock the out of stock items so I dont have to worry about shipping/ordering more than once etc.

So what’s the logic behind a surcharge for scent free ? Why do I get a discount for contaminating the product ?

Where is the best place to get them?

Agree with Sillykitty and Vapor1. IMO, keeping the consumer lines in stock as much as practical is important. As for fancy colognes, as long as it’s available in a light, inoffensive scent that I can cover with my preferred scent, that’s great by me. I think my nose is fairly average, unlike some users who seem to have very acute olfactory senses, so while this may not satisfy everyone it will satisfy the majority of testers and customers.

Edit: Tacitus, is that sarcasm? I think you already know the answer to that question, based on your post count. Maybe I’m wrong, and if I am, I apologise. But for the information of anyone reading this thread who doesn’t know why unscented is more expensive: Scents increase diffusion of the [pheromones](https://a314.com/), helping them to spread through the air, increasing the range of your “phero cloud”. It’s important enough that the default is scented for all products. Big batches get mixed up with the scent. For unscented, it’s a “special order”, your item needs to be made from scratch which takes time of a skilled mixer. That costs more, so Androtics must pass on the cost.

Unless I’m wrong, any item on the ‘advanced’ side is a special order by default because of the various mcg’s ordered and other factors such as scent. (I just got an order of advanced products and got an email that originally it had gone to the custom lab for processing so I assume that means they had to dilute the reagent grade pheros and add the neroli scent that I’m compositing out in DPG anyhow.)

Part of experimenting (which is the point behind the advanced products) is to work with the diffusion of various scents.

I totally agree with what you are saying. I should have stated that not only do I get compliments from it but I do like it myself. Though I do not like smelling like an orange field when I want to wear a little extra.
